If the car was insured as an agree value, and the ex boss has been paid out an agreed value amount. if you chose to ignor him, he can lodge a claim with his insurance agaist you to play the game. As the damage on the car can effect the salvage amount the insruance company will follow it up to recover costs. If the insurance company did not de-value the car from the old damage, since the claim is from around 1 year ago as stated in the first post, the insurance renewal would have been done on the vehicle. The ex boss may have accepted a lesser agreed value due to a small amount of old damage where then is liable to chase you up for any cost. This would be hard to prove but would need to find how much the value of the car droped over the insurance year and if it was insured for red book - glasses guide value or lesser amount. Best to call your ex boss and ask the questions.

As in my first post have advised to contact the old boss to discuss and suss out what info he has and ask for images, not making assumptions just stating facts of what could have happeded since there is not many details in the first post. As for telling some one to fornicate with them selfs isnt going to help anyone. Better to sort the issue out now rather than latter so call your old boss and get as many details as you can. Dont need to advised your insurance company of minnor scratches or bumps that are under of value of $500 to repair which sounds like this accident, So no fraud there mate!

Brother has been using the v70A on the PRB Clubman for quite a few years now and very happy with them setting some great records 1:38 at the creek and 1:02 at Wakfeild. Winter time at Wakfeild Park a lighter car eg: clubmans and Lotus Elise can run the soft compounds if the budget can afford to have a spare set. Jason Wright used the V710's on his WRX at one stage and dont think he went quicker that the V70A i would look at them for a MX5

Since your old boss is the third party in the accident, you can not tell them what to do. He has the choice to go with his own insurance or even get it repaired at his perfered work shop and have a fair and reasonable assessment done on the car. Since the car is a total loss from another claim it is not possible to get another quote separate to this, it would be stupid asking him to do so knowing his car has been writen off, so a fair and reasonable assessment would be done on behalf of the insurance company backed up with a de-valuation report on the total loss if the matter goes to court. Do the right thing and pay up, if you were in his shoes would'nt you expect to be paid if someone damaged your car and de-valued it. Besides you have acknowledged that it was your fault on this posting & this would hold up in court if it went to that extreme. It would be best if you made a fair agreement with him, Karma can bite back bigger and better!

The way I see it, you have admitted to bumping into your old bosses car, and assume there would have been other work colleges as a witness that know of the incident? Now your old bosses car has been written of due to a unrelated issue the insurance company can and may have devalued his car on a market value policy due to old damage. This has prompted your old bosses memory to chase you up you for some money due yourself devaluing his car. The insurance company would have a assessment report that stats any old damage and cost of devaluation on the motor vehicle which you a liable to pay for since you have caused damage to his car. The insurance company will have photos to prove the damage on car that will be kept on record. My advice would be to sort the issue out rather that play games. If you play games your old boss can lodge a claim with his insurance company against you based on an assessors quote, and the de-valuation of his car that brings you to court. Ring your old boss and try and suss out how much info and what photos he has on file to show the damage. Try and settle it before it cost you more in the long run. Offer him a case of beer and call it even....
