  1. stock wheel or aftermarket? gotta take the horn off and then use a certain type of hex nut to remove the retainer bolt - not sure what tool or what size it is to remove it (im no mechanic) but its not too hard. assuming your wheel isnt quite lined up to spline 0 and ur hicas is wigging out? -D
  2. how much do professional car carriers charge? Being melb, it could be cheaper for you to put it on the back of the train -D
  3. Linux Sysadmin/engineer here, but not a coder I used a hexterm to send the hex init codes, the only problem is the registers for my particular hicas don't match the ones published on the PLMS site - and thats the hicas codes the dude who made datascan used... hex codes enabled me to manually initialize the hicas control unit and then initiate data streaming, but I couldn't decipher any of it. for lukes issue, I used ECUTalk. For some reason, Nissan Datascan wouldnt work and my main laptop with obd scantech and datascan is currently out of action (pending reinstall of os) His ecu reported no error codes, and I connected to the main ECU (hex EF) so either the airbag light isnt controlled by a control unit, or its been ofloaded into the abs or hicas computers or some other function - no airbag in the r32 gtr so I'm not quite familiar about where this would be -D
  4. Any chance you can chuck that HICAS part to me? Would like to try it on the r32, esp since he said it'd work -D
  5. DataScan doesnt connect to my SHICAS in the 32 GTR. Apparently the registers for initialization are changed. I was able to manually send commands to the ecu via a hex terminal, aka EF FF F0 and then gotten the OK from it.... Would love to try Conzult Z32 out - the author has confirmed it does work on R32 GTR Hicas but I'm not game to pay $500 just on a whim -D
  6. Fusebox Above your right knee, port is above the fuse cluster, to the left. -D
  7. While that was good, I don't think it can ever top Bill Hick's going off at a heckler... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j7wmTEb4a8 The quality of the video is shit but this is one of the all time legendary Bill Hicks clips.. Starts around 2:30 lol "What am I, a f**king jukebox? 'Put a quarter in his butt, push A-12!' " -D
  8. Correct. Nightcrawlers R34 GT-T had an OBD1 connector, which surprised me as I was almost sure that all 34's had OBD2 Check under your dash's fuse area, that grey connector should be right near it -D
  9. if u have the obd1 connector, i can clear it for u -D
  10. tell them the following shannons: 'r u teh enthuzeeast?' you: 'i r so da enthuzeeast' shannons; 'prove it' you: 'u seen dat movie gran torino?' shannons: 'laik who hasnt, clint is awesome' you: 'im laik clint, but in real life...' shannons: 'oh s**t!' -D
  11. Sounds good, welcome to the forum. Would advise against getting a turbo timer, not only are they defectable, theyre completely useless -D
  12. lol wicked, got link? re pod filters, i have apexi type-m's on atm but will be replacing them with 2x 3A filters - they ranked 1st in the autosalon air filter shootout last year and grats luke -D
  13. +1 and watching luke hurl his guts up -D
  14. he should nos the pug pug + nos = better than any friggin vw jetta haha -D
  15. thats pretty unfair. you got all the facts? pull ya head in eh? fore i cockslap u and make u look even more like that dude from split enz -D
  16. same - flick whens the cut-off ? I still have some minor work to be done, and then I got the show in loxton in the next fortnight... would ideally like to submit my photos in 4 weeks if thats ok ? -D Edit - Sample pic with cameraphone after paint job and caliper rebuild, and a couple drunken minutes of photoshopping
  17. Good luck mate! -D
  18. Would also like to make a distinction between the rural car shows and the ones in adelaide... aka riverland and kadina, mt gambier etc vs the extreme hp show, autosalon (if its on), the show and shine @ glenelg etc... I like the rural shows cos it gives me an excuse to get out of the city, so that'd be my primary interest Could be an idea to have a couple combined bbq/dyno days, and some purely social events like pete just mentioned - and try to stagger everything out over the course of the year... More than a couple cruises would be nice... one every 3 months perhaps, or 2 in summer, 1 in winter -D Edit - I'd also be doing a fishing charter or two thru the year, so that could possibly be considered an event - tho last time I organized we had 18 organized at first and ended up with only 4 (including myself - I would be ruthless in organising these just because of the 'attrition rate') Attrition rate = people who say they gonna go to an event and then get really uncommunicative when people ask for status...
  19. Cool. that said, if there is a limit on car shows, I wouldnt be adverse against co-ordinating them - I plan to do the riverland show each year for example... There'd have to be a bit of time between them though, the extreme hp show ended up being too close to the riverland show for me to wrangle time off work -D Edit - I also think Abe has a good point, 2-3 driver training events would be a very good idea, esp for the younger ones - potentially to get individual cams licences for the more track oriented people (or anyone who wants 10% off their insurance for example)
  20. I like shows, albeit in moderation... I'd do 2-3 a year I reckon, so I wouldn't wanna count them out That said, i'd prefer cruises more than anything - and not just an ad-hoc cruise, I mean one where we get a massive turnout and stop off at many spots.... then grip days and motorkhana, even tho I've never done either, they would both be fun -D Edit ; female mud/jelly wrestling is my contribution for 'other', even tho it has no relevance whatsoever.
  21. Yeah that sucks. Support the people who support you I say! Thankfully Ive never had issues lending anyone anythingv - consult cables arent cheap tho -D
  22. if you're going to replace the gears to the oil pump, may as well get a decent known aftermarket brand like the reimax replacement n1 pack http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/Reimax-Oil-Pum...-RB26DETT-54021 -D
  23. quite impressive that you've done all that already good luck passing 1st time around - remember, it never hurts to wear a suit and tie ;P -D
  24. I wont have pics for a cpl weeks. gonna wait till my shiznit is 100% painted and fitted -D
  25. i dunno mane i quite like the spoiler... looks diff to the stockers you see out there without the spoiler i reckon if it was curved more and slightly lower to the boot it'd look better, but i cant fault the look of that car red ones go fast -D
