Nah I found it quite easy. I ended up replacing the entire front section of the interior anyhow (after I'd fitted the led's) so I had to take it apart again, and then had to do it a third time to fix the airconditioner actuator -D

Once again, you've totally missed my point. Rather than pointing fingers, why cant you just ignore it and move along without taking digs at anyone? Thats 2 posts now where you've felt the need to point out that the previous occupant of your position didn't complete the planning for the event. Keep it to whats relevant and ignore the past eh? -D

Theres no reason why you cant build a powerful intel x86 box and install macos X. just means you wont have the fancy mac decor (which is overrated imho). Fair enough to not like the way MS does some of their stuff, but I think win7 has come a long way and is actually quite nice to use - I'll never ban anything as long as it serves a purpose, however I do prefer linux for many server related daemons, that said, linux is only free if your time has no value. never liked macos x either... never heard of a router running windows. people must be masochistic these days. DD-WRT does me fine. -D

Cara initiated it, however the forms were not available for quite some time. No harm in pointing FAQ's to actual solutions rather than wonder in vain as to what was not done. -D

Thanks to the SAU:SA Events Co-ordinators for picking this up Alas I have overstretched my resources for that week and wont be able to make it, but I leave you in more than capable hands. I am still doing the riverland show, so please dont hesistate in msging me regarding that event. cheers -D

There are dwarven ninjas located in the catalytic converter and they have zippo lighters, and if their caps get blown off with a lot of exhaust gas, they flip their zippos on so they can find their way home, and unfortunately they might walk into a column of fuel and get nuked by the combustive effects. therefore, whenever u see a skyline pop flame, please think about the dwarven ninjas this has been a public service announcement. -D

i buy all my hardware on the component level and assemble myself - never had to pay a windows tax as ive always had access to VLK licences thru my employer currently im running an i920 system with 12 gigs of ram and windows 7 64 bit - i can tell you, photoshop runs really really fast, even when im editing 5 gig psd's - only takes a max of 90% ram and doesnt even use the swap file... i love it -D

oic my bad. I assumed you were running a vm host on a solaris box. we get a few of those at work, but I dont play with them myself. I mainly virtualize with the linux host based kvm/qemu extension (xen is old) using RHEL (im an RHCE) but other guys in my dept use vmware, and another bloke takes care of the sun stuff. hadnt heard of virtualbox before specifically, i assumed that it was the name of the sun native VMware client Never got into macs myself. Some people drool over the design but I just dont dig it. They were respectable from my POV when they had native RISC cpu's but when they switched to intel I lost interest. I'd rather use BeOS/Haiku anyhow. -D

yeah, its kinder on the engine, the environment, not kind on the wallet - only marginally more expensive, but when you gain the 50kw odd that e85 gives you, some people (like me) would definately go for it Good for street cars that can refill a lot, not so great for tarmac rally, targa or circuit due to the extra fuel changes required... they use pretty good fuel in racecars as it is, but the e85 is going to help a lot of people with emissions test over the next few years - but only if they can get more stations selling e85... it seems a logical alternative one thing that always baffled me tho, is why we havent promoted lpg more. we have a huge proportion of supplies for lpg naturally, sure its not great for every application (and suffers from the same density loss as e85) but its something that would make fiscal and military sense - why not be self sufficient for the majority of the countries transport? means people are less affected by global economic fluctuation, and in times of war makes the country not rely on deliveries ... (sure it does paint a big 'kick me in the nuts' sign over any refinery, but thems the breaks) same deal with nuclear power. nuclear power rocks. -D

haha nice expensive kit that. and here I was thinking you were using home grown hardware -D

He might do, however I believe Mr Donnon tends to favour the Apexi PowerFC and might recommend u buy one ;P I do know for a fact that if you want to remap a stock 32 ecu that extensively, you'll need to buy the nisstune eeprom addon ($200 for software, $220 for the installation and chip and around $80 for a consult cable) but its the most regency friendly ecu that you can use (without hiding a pfc in a stock nissan ecu housing that is ;P)... its much cheaper to get nisstune addon rather than the pfc, and there are many places that can dynotune it, morpowa, horsepower in a box, boostworks etc Standard ECU can probably take other injectors provided they are the same latency and impedance. Provided they meet that criteria, all a tuner would need to do is lower the duty cycle of a big injector to tune it for e85, that said the nisstune/pfc will allow you to correct latency - still need low impedance injectors as far as I know, tho I'm no expert on these matters... Regarding price - you'll be paying more as the volume loss is around 30% but you only get around 10-15% cheaper price per litre, so you'll be paying more and drinking it more BUT its cheap power and environmentally friendly (as far as performance vehicles are concerned - if you love mother nature that badly, walk) -D

Didn't get a decent look at the wheels cos I only saw the cat for a couple seconds Also saw a bayside blue GT-T at an undisclosed location in cheltenham, along with a burgundy 33 parked opposite - same place someone spotted me last week Seems to be a load of nice cars around those workplaces -D
-
ECU remap required, 30% bigger injectors required (bigger if you can afford them), fuel pump, a check of the fuel lines to see if they are the type that leak ethanol vapour, and possibly bigger afms depending on how hard u go just remember - ethanol is less dense, so it needs to pump more per fluidic volume into the engine, and also will be drank faster by your engine because all engines are alcoholics... (not, again its to do with the density and the fact ur pumping more thru).. Having said that, E85 is cheaper and has less noxious emissions, and has the bonus side effect of giving you more power - if they had many E85 pumps around, I'd most certainly do it, but I travel around a lot so I need lots of refueling points - doubly so with e85 since you go thru it quicker.. Would be nice if a drop tank could be fitted to a gtr - does anyone know if its been done? -D

Depends if you're using KVM/Qemu, VM Ware or Xen And Steve, I cannot believe you'd rate vista over XP. Vista is a steaming pile of amphibian poo - windows 7 however is very very nice. Cronic - You can run a single ssd and a raid 1 mirror, provided you have two separate chipsets. If you're unlucky to only have an intel ICH, then once you set raid up in the bios, everything has to be raided, and be installed with the specific raid driver. Onboard raid is pretty shit in either case - best bet is to find a cheap hardware raid card that does 0, 1 and 0+1 and use that for the 2x 1tb drives and then run the SSD natively off the ICH (or whatever the onboard chipset is) running in Sata mode. Beware intel raid - if your bios resets and 'forgets' that there is a raid array, it will default to native SATA - which means it'll boot off the first drive of a mirror and then install/run off the standard sata driver - there is no way to re-enable the raid (unless you wish to rebuild the mirror from the 2nd hdd - in which case you'd have to make sure that the data that you've been writing to C: while in standard sata mode, is actually backed up and then copied across again once your mirror/array is setup again). None of the above applies to striped arrays however - if the bios 'forgets' then you'll simply lose your data -D

Spotted Gunmetal Grey R32 turning onto Cheltenham Pde from Port Road at 1:50... young dude driving with CC rego plates -D

Well I bought the car off Writeoff who is a friend and he was the one that brought the boost issue to my attention. I dont think that's the case at all, esp since I was informed about all issues before I bought the car... Cronic is right however - youll never find a tuner out there without at least one failed engine - shit sometimes just happens Weezy 1.2 bar was around 250-260kw and 1.0 bar is around 210-220kw, stock. -D
-
yer, i got my gtr from a dude who'd had it tuned at boostworx @ 1.2 bar... on stock ceramic turbos I had it detuned to 1.0 bar as soon as I got it, and have kept it that way since. 1.2 is ok for dyno runs, but its death for ceramics under long load.. 1.1 is pushing it even As soon as I get my N1's I'll be sorted, they can handle a decent load of boost, but 20 year old ceramic turbos shoud never be ran above 12-14 psi -D

Were u selling heroin to the test driver? -D
