Well, even tho I do use facebook, I agree with them.... Zuckerberg is an expletive so rude, even I dare not say it in public. Facebook keeps all of your shit in a database. Like they said, they dont delete data, it merely gets hidden. Background checks these days extend to your facebook contacts and any cached data the govt has been able to trawl... they sell your information to the highest bidder. Ive got nothing to hide so I'm not worried, but aware that these people are scheming bastards. Nothing is free and FB whores you out for market research at the least, civil profiling at the worst. So, I encourage everyone to sign up under a pseudonym and pretend to be someone else. A superhero, a villain, a doctor, a ninja, maybe even pretend to be a kind of sentient form of broccoli, but do it. It'll really f**k with their statistics. And that makes me giggle. -D

Not a single setup, but GTR's can use the same housing, turbine specs and use metal rather than ceramic, good for up to 320kw apparently. In fact, any of the 2860 series of turbos can have a certificate stating that they are aftermarket replacements (MTQ does this I know) and I think they go all the way up toe 400 odd kw (which is pretty damn decent for an otherwise stock setup)... -D

Spotted Red GTS-T heading into North Adelaide this morning Also a dude in a White commodore waving at me outside the walkers arms this morning - think it was Madaz? -D

this is true, but if you are 100% sure that they're wrong (ie its all legal and you have engineering certificates) then you take them to court and you get your expenses overturned, some pathetic amount to placate your inconvenience, and a rebuke to the officer in question. Its like pissing into the wind, metaphorically speaking. You might prove your point but sapol, like any company, has a sophisticated pr division skilled in damage control. you'll hear something like 'said officers were stood down' which means theyre chilling behind a desk on full pay. that said, if your car isnt roadworthy or uncertified, well I guess it could be argued they're working in your advantage. Hell, even the ford pinto was notorious for exploding in rear end collisions, yet it was still considered a roadworthy vehicle till it was recalled. Its all nonsense. -D

anything to do with the engine must remain stock. when you change anything, its considered 'not factory certified by design' which means that the emissions laws come into effect You can build whatever you want, if you can get all the supporting technical documentation to certify its safety and emissions (and probably other things - I remember reading a post SLED made about the rake of his bike, wasn't to spec by our laws so he had to redesign the front end which was a PITA - just to point out that there are laws but also a flexibility as I believe the SLED was fabricated from scratch. I could be wrong on that. I remember theres a bloke who chucked a ww2 spitfire engine (24 litre rolls royce) in an old school american car and I >think< he even got it certified road legal (even though it did something like 2000 horsepower) -D

I think thats quite comforting, to know that there is a type of reference, cause I'd be worried if 2000 yrs ago someone didnt find a big ass skeleton and go wtf.... The argument makes sense. Now I'd love to show that page to the southern baptists in the USA and see what they say... I've always admired the catholic church for being able to rationalize logical science into the doctrine... Even tho I'm a heathen athiest I did go to catholic school and had to endure 5 years of theology which in a perverse way now I'm glad I did - gives you a sense of perspective And hey, those with the faith might be right. Full credit for sticking to your guns. gotta admire that even if you don't agree with the logic. -D

And there are some great heavy metal bands there too. Gigs go off nightly at that place -D

The bible was written 2000 years ago by people who are dumber than we are today. Then it was re-written. Translated. Re-written again. Changed for the sake of convenience etc. Catholic and Protestant bibles are not the same. And the catholic church has dismissed the notion of a devil - Vatican council II accepted that the 'devil' was created to keep the population fearful. And as for God burying fossils to 'test our faith', I think Bill Hicks said it better than me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrZcztxRquo “You believe the world's 12 thousand years old? "That's right." Okay I got one word to ask you, a one word question, ready? "Uh huh." Dinosaurs. You know the world's 12 thousand years old and dinosaurs existed, they existed in that time, you'd think it would have been mentioned in the f**king Bible at some point. "And lo Jesus and the disciples walked to Nazareth. But the trail was blocked by a giant brontosaurus...with a splinter in his paw. And O the disciples did run a shriekin': 'What a big f**king lizard, son of rajab!' But Jesus was unafraid and he took the splinter from the brontosaurus's paw and the big lizard became his friend.” “Dinosaur fossils? God put those there to test our faith." Thank God I'm strapped in right now here man. I think God put you here to test my faith, Dude. You believe that? "Uh huh." Does that trouble anyone here? The idea that God.. might be...messin' with our heads? I have trouble sleeping with that knowledge. Some prankster God running around: "Hu hu ho. We will see who believes in me now, ha HA.” “A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. You think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a f**king cross? It's like going up to Jackie Onassis wearing a rifle pendant.” “Christianity has a built-in defense system: anything that questions a belief, no matter how logical the argument is, is the work of Satan by the very fact that it makes you question a belief. It's a very interesting defense mechanism and the only way to get by it -- and believe me, I was raised Southern Baptist -- is to take massive amounts of mushrooms, sit in a field, and just go, "Show me."” -D

He means the dust cover... (I think?) rigid plastic that fits over the top of the strut, generally you have to cut it to size depending on how low the suspension travel is Seem to remember one being a part of SydneyKids old suspension overall group buy -D Edit - nope, i was wrong. He means a cover over the top of the strut pillar in the engine bay, so one cannot see the adjustable dampening control

Two chicks.... man, before the internet, you had to go to germany to buy that shit God Bless the Internet. -D

Bahahahahahahaha Winning -D Edit - Luke, when a piece of carbon fiber likes another piece of carbon fiber, they do the sticky and sometime later, little carbon fiber kits come out

I love the arguments against gay marriage... "It degrades the sanctity of marriage" (or stupidity to that effect).. I would say - if you wanna keep marriage sacred, Ban divorce. Case closed. -D Edit - I appreciate SLEDS post, but the very reasons pointed out can also be applied to heterosexual relationships. Don't need to get married to cohabitate (its called defacto). I did lol at Jets post tho. It'd be confusing as to who is supposed to make the sandwiches but thats another story Marriage is a symbolic thing nowadays, has been since common law marriage was introduced (that is legal marriage as opposed to religious marriage). And since its symbolic, who cares? Edit 2 - and at the end of the day, same sex couples getting married in no way cheapens any vows anyone makes to anyone else, regardless of gender or religious belief. You swear an oath in front of your deity (or the law) then it comes down to your own honor and how serious you are about keeping your word - infidelity is another thing I'd say that cheapens the sanctity of marriage, but what do I know...

So the universe was basically a big Kim Kardashian. She's hot, she's dense and she's definately in a state... -D

The other argument is that the catholic church supports the theory of evolution I mean if God is all knowing and omnipotent, then whats to say he/she/it didn't create the universe and the big bang, and guide the evolution of not only the human race, but every biological entity on the planet? Whether or not God exists is a question too deep and it starts too many wars. If however God does exist, he/she/it is a hell of a lot smarter than us, so really, why worry? -D
