I'm going with the SSD option for my boot drive, in raid 0 Currently running 1tb raid1 mirror with WD Caviar Black hdd's, quite decent performance in spite of the overheads -D

Have had a couple quick withdrawls from the Loxton SAU:SA display... looking for people to fill between at least 2 places, if not 4 1-2 r33's 1-2 r34's a kpcgr-10 an dr30 and or r31 an r35 gtr (i wish lol) please pm me if you think you could be keen -D

At this stage yes, but eh your car looks like a GTR, thats a good thing imho Buy a nismo towel, get a placard made if you've done any mods to the car, would be good -D

JDM plates would certainly be a nice addition to your car for the purposes of the show. Esp the r32 ones hehe -D

Maybe Damo or Vu can help you, they have good design skills... I could mock up a text only A3 display but you'd need to send me the list of mods and all the cool stuff that makes the bike special - if I had more skills I'd put several pictures of your bike on the display next to all the mods/customized information... but tbh it'd look like arse -D

Cool Rubes, did you already have an A3 detail list made up or do you want assistance? I have basic photoshop skills but nowhere near Damo or Vu's ability -D

Cara has the nissan flags and the SAU banner, which I hope to get within the next couple of weeks so I can give them a good clean Because the show is on an oval, we don't worry about flooring for the event - a nicely dressed car on lawn always looks good. I'm getting my A3 display placard professionally printed and framed, which will cost around $120 which is a once off payment and can be used at other shows I was also considering getting a bar towel with the GTR logo (http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/Nissan-Vintage-Classic-Skyline-Logo-Emblem-Sports-Towel-60090) or the beach towel (http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/NISMO-Logo-Beach-Towel-59900) and chucking a little 1:18 model on top, only problem is I'd be worried that someone would want to nick it I'm also going to have a sticker or two from my mechanic, because he's been helping me out bigtime - if anyone wants to represent the people that work on their car, I'm fine with that (and its a cheap way to dress the car up and show your love to your mechanic/detailer/etc) Towel and placard should be enough for myself, everyone is free to customize the display as they see fit. More nissan/skyline/gtr merchandise would be great though I'm glad everyone is keen about this (and willing to contribute to the display). We have around 8-10 people confirmed so far, and I've sent messages to the last 4 to confirm their interest. I'll be at villis around 7pm tonight for a general brainstorm if anyone wants to come along.. I have some ideas which will make the display uber, but it all comes down to money and time -D

Okiedokes Just got off the phone from another tent company which Shane pmmed me about last night, this one is based in the riverland and will already be at the loxton oval with other tents. For a 4.5 x 4.5 mt tent (which will fit 22 people and a trestle table) the cost would be $270. obviously this is a bit more than the place based on adelaide, however the benefit is a) pete doesnt have to haul it from adelaide and b) they will set the tent up and take it down for us - leaving us more time to work on the cars... it'd bump the group fee up to $20-$25 but I'm sure people would prefer to pay the extra $5 than have to worry about setting up a huge tent. Everyone think this is ok? -D

we can report them but i know for a fact the advertiser isnt going to post anything like what happened today; 4wd down dulwich ave, dulwich.. travelling 30kph, not slowing down to give way to the right then jamming on the brakes at the last minute. no indicators used when turning corners or pulling into the lane. decides to follow the racing line around 2 separate corners to the detriment of the (non visible) oncoming traffic. apparently a non visible set of corners = 4wd chicane f*^%ing 4wd's... they give me the shits. theyre magnificient when theyre off road but theyre piloted by dickheads and/or clueless soccer mums when in the city... blocking everyones view, pulling out from a sidestreet into the main road and leaving half their arse end blocking the outer lane and not caring about it because of the 'im bigger, you'll just have to wait/go around me' mentality. (sarcasm) and with stereotypes being what they are, im petrified of asian women driving landcruisers because im damn sure they are the worst drivers on the road and are going to drive all over my ride (end sarcasm) *sigh* we have to put up with this crap from the media and its usually 4wds not indicating, or middle aged women driving priuses in my side alley at 60kph rather than 40. how frigging embarrased do you think i would be, if my epitaph read 'dohmar - killed by hooning prius driver' f*^kin priuses and hoon 60 yr old ladies with blue hair /rant -D
