chuck the suspect drive into the usb caddy and then into a pc with the appropriate utilities (or enough space for you to copy your data to) depending on whats actually gone wrong, you might need to run a partition recovery tool or a filesector tool in addition to the chkdsk/norton disk doctor if u get stuck pm me -D
-
Yes There are a lot of things u can do before needing to format the drive - have you got a USB ext HDD caddy? -D

for u Karly, Maccas would be a great place to take a girl:) The closest bowling to the city that I know of is on Goodwood road (which is right across the road from a maccas too karl!) Otherwise head east to the Bowling centre in St Peters/Norwood -D

a) because the car is lowered and the front lip crashes against everything, b) the front lip doesnt look all that great imho, and c) if you bothered to look at your car side on, you'd notice that removing the lip makes the front spoiler level with the skirts and the rear, as it should be. putting the lip on looks like a train with a cow scoop, unless you have the car at standard or above height and are running the bigger skirts and rear bar. which i decline to do because the gtr looks good enough as it is. answered? I still have the lip. I choose to have it off. -D

Thats not a bad idea, the only thing I would be concerned about is the heat generated from the amp and the computer. you may be better off putting the amp in a conventional position like on the back of the rear seats or under the passenger seat - otherwise you might need to think about mounting a fan inside the wheel well under the false floor Jack88 knows a great deal about maximising position, I suggest you give him a msg and send him some pics n see what he recommends +1 for his build quality too -D

Oh was he getting beat the smeg down with a nightstick and or a 9 milly ? -D

You said it. When you've been driving hard. Unless you've driven from Adelaide to Melb in 5 hours, u dont need that on a street car. If you track it at lala, it could come in handy but its just as easy to let the bugger idle for 2 minutes naturally. And i dunno if there is a rule or safety issue regarding the turbo timer, given that it keeps the engine running when the key is removed (you certainly dont want the fuel pump providing more fuel to an engine fire for example) Thing is guys, the road rules are there, theres not a great deal one can do about it. Its in your own interest to have your car as roadworthy as practically possible. I know I hold my cars roadworthy status a lot higher than the law would, however I could still get a drongo defect me because he doesnt know what to look for. It may well get to the stage that most import owners should have a) the Owners manual printed out b) the ADR's printed out c) the roadworthy rules specific to SA, d) the service manual for that particular make of car and finally e) a photocopied record of all work done on the car and any engineering certificates Cronic, any chance u can scan that manual of yours? My car never came with one and I'd love to get a copy... -D
-
You can indeed get the, provided the car hasnt been defected, i know of my uncles roommates cousins best friends neighbour whos internet buddy got a weekend pass for his shitbox cause he wanted to go to the beach. If its defected, who knows, you'd be best off calling rego dept like peat suggests -D

how could u tell it was a fed? spotted a white 33 on churchill road/regency intersection this arvo, intersection was shut down and police trainees were doing road control drills spotted a grey/black 34 (possibly gtr) on o'connell st outside of taste of india. very nice rims, suited the car perfectly -D

yeah i removed all the suspect stuff from my gtr. And while I did remove the big gauge that was mounted to my dash (which was in bar) I replaced it with a much smaller one that fits where the clock used to be, and that one reads in -mmhg and +psi (up to 25psi).. cost a bit to get the interior back to normal after removing the dodgy stuff (loads of screw holes and glue marks) but it looks pretty much back to stock now, no holes -D
-
yeah theyre a bitch to keep clean ;P tbh i dont mind white on the gtr. i was gonna get it redone in bayside blue but something about the white really shows off the contours of the gtr body -D

Logitech or MS like Luke says. incidentally the MS keyboards are all made on logitech fabs I like a wireless mouse and a wired keyboard, mainly because the logitech g15/g19 series are awesome and a standalone mouse usually has better resolution than a combo wireless mouse and as for car pc's, you'll want solid state drives all the way, but im not sure if the eee would be the best bet for a permanent installation - theyre good in the glovebox but if you want a permanent solution then a dedicated car pc or a mac mini with aftermarket ssd would do the job quite admirably. Best mount point would be either under a seat or behind the rear seats between the rear strut towers and just run a db25 vga and usb to the front to the touchscreen head unit -D
