  16. Not really. Some cars are absolutely f**ked up from a design point of view, and you don't need to even start a poll. Drift cars look cool because they are functional for what they do. I laugh when I see a street car with drift kit and the butthole has to spend a good minute negotiating the local HJ's carpark The bodykit I'm talking about is the stupid stuff that leaves you with a couple mm worth of clearance from the wheels and the ground, the sorta stupid kit that is flared out widebody style, and the kits that have loads of these vents for braking channels, engine bay flow, cabin flow, boot lip flow IMHO practicality beats everything else. For a serious street car I dont know why anyone would get the really low wide and flared kits ... if u want to impress 16 year old girls or want to have your own bay at autosalon, go for it, but I personally would rather have a performance car with the right suspension, wheel offset, castor and camber to do some serious driving on our roads, rather than just being some pretender to the throne - theres a big diff between street and track spec, so why run a show car with trac spec suspensions and offset? Theres no point trying to rock a skyline in J-spec suspension on A-spec roads. -D
  17. nah for the most part kits look tryhard and massive offset is extravagant wank im for the james bond school of design, not the paris hilton mindset subtlety over gaudy vomit -D Edit - yet to see a kit for the r32 gtr that beats the stock standard bodykit - cant fake those curves baby

  22. Well I've looked up the law - says that you lose your licence alone for not displaying the p-plates however it doesnt say that its mandatory. The speeding ticket will have given you 1-3 demerit points depending on the speed. Now, there is legislation to change the 'not display p plate' penalty to 2 demerit points rather than a loss of licence, however it doesn't come into effect until january 2010. This is where lawyering comes in handy You can employ a lawyer to negotiate with the prosecuting sergeant as to what charges you will face and if there is any way he can convince them to charge you with a lesser offence. Once that happens, he can delay the court case for a fairly long while, and then once you actually do face court there is a good chance they can point out your virtues and impress the magistrate with character references and the like. A magistrate wouldnt want to take your licence away if you need it for your income, however if the law doesn't allow them to negotiate then I'm afraid its bad luck. In negotiations with the magistrate, the lawyer can request that they extend your P's or put you back to P1 rather than P2 (or is it the other way around?) or put you on a good behaviour bond, etc.. only they know the tricks of the trade which is why its worth fighting for if your income depends on it. If he can delay your case till Jan 2010, and the penalty is taken from day of sentencing rather than the day of offence comitted, he might be able to get you down with 2 demerit points- however you'd have to make sure that those demerit points wouldn't put you over the allocated amount at that time. The only problem with delays is if your licence has been automatically disqualified and you cant drive at this moment. -D
  23. uh a once off group buy is not the same as a trader. besides, martini are sponsoring the SAUSA dyno day.... -D
  24. already do have the slotted rotors but theyre the 296/297's for the original 32 gtr. just thinking in case of future upgrades. -D
  25. depends if its a mandatory loss of licence. nothing u can do when its mandatory (such as the case if you're over 0.05 - automatic 6 months regardless)... Get a lawyer, they can talk traffic offences down. Give Matthew Mitchell Solicitors a call at 8344 5589 and tell them what you're facing. -D
