Been thinking about this, and unfortunately I think you're best off just letting it be. Unless you can prove the loss of income, or they signed a contract promising the work to be done by a certain date, then you're pretty much stuffed ;| Its a shame that these people decided to put your car on the backburner (or at least treat it like a non-priority) simply because it was an insurance job. Having been privvy to David's emails, I can say that this organization is one of the worst when it comes to customer service. Whether or not David chooses to let you all know who they are is his call, but if I was in his position I'd be telling everyone out there to avoid these people - but not until the car is returned and all issues are sorted ;P Negative publicity is inevitable when customers are treated like shit. -D

Spotted my GTR after having the drivers rear quarter panel repaired properly. Seems like the car was damaged back in Japan and the morons who fixed it didnt bother to panelbeat the metal (instead they stuck 3-4 kilos of bog in there :|)... mechanics mate beat the metal out, applied a minimal layer of bog and spraypainted over the weekend... looks very nice - color doesnt quite match the rest of the car but I'm getting the whole thing sprayed over the next few weekends so I'm happy -D

I'm interested in getting a dump/front pipe combo... can u PM me details of how much it cost? cheers -D
-
if matty had one he'd forever be offering his 'ding a ling' to all the ladies -D
-
But only if it came with spokey dokes, a front mount flower motif basket and a bell that goes 'ding' -D

if you get stuck, gimmie a call cause I've done this before on the 32. Having the dash out makes it easier but u can do it without the glovebox like steve said (just means its a little tricky to unclip the actuator from its mount. If its anything like mine, it'll just be dry solder joints (like the guide steve posted a while back shows). Hope you're handy with a soldering Iron... -D

Hahaha, see, there is a god after all +1 for karma -D

Thats a genuine possibility, but generally if you have your modifications performed by an accredited mechanical workshop (and have reciepts to prove it) then you're fine. If you've done something like welded a diff or chopped springs etc, then its very possible that they'd use those as an excuse to at least reduce the payment Best to call the insurer in either case and see what they will and wont insure... and if they do, get it listed. Its worth paying the extra $20-50 per year if it keeps you completely covered. -D

yeah i got one dan, used to use it for my holden back in the day, ill see if i can find it -D EDIT - Found it. PM me on MSN ;P

Wrx Driver Kills Person Travelling In The Other Direction

Sorry to hear that man... Adelaide is such a small town and you've had friends involved in both accidents.... I know what Rhys' is arguing, that being the car was turning and bisecting a priority lane so technically he's correct but with one exception - its not a crime to misjudge (blame is used for compensation/insurance mostly). Legally speaking in this situation, it has no bearing: two cars at 60kph colliding is an accident and not a crime. However since the rex drivers were going stupidly fast, then one can't put any blame on the girl driving the toyota. As was mentioned earlier, when a car is going at 100kph and is heading directly to you, it can be hard to gauge the speed, especially if its much much more than 100 (which it obviously was). Also, the weather was pretty shitty that night, lots of rain and hindered visibility, so that again contributes. And dont worry Mini, they will be punished. Both have been charged with multiple offences (1 each for death by dangerous driving (deceased) and 3 each for injury by dangerous driving (toyota driver, passengers of rex), and the guy who left is also charged with failure to render assistance and leaving the scene of an accident. They're both going down but the guy who left is gonna get punished more. A custodial sentence is usually mandatory whenever there is a death involved, with extensions for the injuries. And thankfully, the survivors can sue for victims of crime compensation and hopefully get their lives back together a little easier. -D -

While I'm sympathetic to your situation, people here have a right to say what they feel. If they were in the position of the Corolla passenger or driver, they would have as much right as anyone to feel enraged at such stupid speed limits. The impact ripped the car in >half<, that means that they were travelling at inexcusable speed. Read my comments in the thread regarding the WRX/Skyline crash a month ago, you'll find my views haven't changed much. Nobody here is a saint, and I know many here have exceeded the speed limit, but that itself does not make it right. I hope your family member gets well soon. But I stand by my prior comments - a jail term is a valid punishment for the death of an innocent man. Nobody should have to look over their shoulder constantly while driving a car, wondering if some knob is going to plough into them at 100+ kph. -D -

Sorry. Dont agree. It sucks and people are having a valid emotional response to the situation (yourself included) Its only natural that people are going to comment. -D -
yes theyre rarer because they are using INCHES as the measurement and are imperial Bar is metric and mmHG is a scientific measure. I bought my psi VDO gauge from gaugeworks. They have several different types -D

no shit, now someone minding their own business has been killed, we're gonna be feeling someones boot up our trousers ;| sad fact is the guy who hit them is still alive... I hope he gets sent to the big house for a while -D -
Nonsense. It is a regency issue since they are the definitive authority for the stamp of approval. Them being "engineers" and sapol being "police" FYI I did some reading tonight.... you're right about the left hand plates being legal, but so is mine - because the plates can have a maximum of 20' angle from front on - which mine is so close to front on, its not funny. and it never stopped me from getting owned by a speed camera (i got the notice for speeding 58kph in a 50 zone and it wasnt accompanied by a notice regarding the plates). And why wouldn't I be confident Rhys? The relocation kit came from japan when the car was imported by its previous owner (writeoff) and it passed regency upon its compliance. The car has been here for 4 years and never had a defect notice. Fact. And I have been 'randomly' pulled over and then let off after a bretho check, and again on another occasion when they were checking registrations.....I can't believe you think that it would be otherwise, when you haven't even seen the car in person.... unless you're just doing your usual stirring shit routine and are basing your opinion on a 300 pixel avatar. -D
