  1. Cos u and sled are so ancient that they didn't have licences way back then.... matter of fact, they'd only just invented the wheel and it was a huge novelty at the time > -D
  2. Thats true, but the driving aids and all the other stuff made it less competetive... you'd find that the variables were minimised and that left a few companies with a technical advantage that simply needed a competent driver, not a brilliant one. This year I reckon will be great to watch, simply because they're moving it back to an even playing field where the drivers own skill comes to the fore, rather than having stuff like traction control and stability, auto gear changes etc make it easier... We don't want the drivers to have it easy We want them to use their shoes to break, like fred flintstone -D
  3. i heard he trades sex sorry dave not enough tits by a factor of 2 ;( -D
  4. I just thought it was hilarious that he called you a keyboard warror.... lol... pot meet kettle v2.0? -D
  5. Um... I think Ruby's qualifications are more than enough, given his marshalling and general experience in motorsports.... ever heard of the term "Armchair General" ? Sounds like you're the one who's commenting on something you know clearly nothing about (in a professional capacity). In your opinion, she might be sub par, but like I iterated before, if anyone is at that level of driving they don't suck. If she did, she'd be a consistent last... Fact is, you think your opinion is worth more than his. It clearly isn't. -D
  6. And his opinion on Webber is any less than your opinion on Danica Patrick and female drivers. Thought not. Pot, meet Kettle. -D
  7. If that was indeed the case, the pregnancy thread would have been closed a long time ago. perhaps now that its done mods can close it? -D
  8. Heater core perhaps... depends how the neo is laid out. ive just fixed a coolant leak from behind the rb26 which was heater core, replaced 3 hoses... cost a fair bit cause they had to remove the starter and some other shite to get to it, but im glad its done... i lost 2 litres of the nissan coolant, and that shyt is $14 per litre ;| -D
  9. +100 for mammaries -D PS Luke, Go to Najjars on O'Connell St Nth Adel for brekky, they make the best english brekky in town... eggs benedict... wurd -D
  10. Sorry to hear that mate, a lot of places have been hit by the global financial crisis, including my own I think given your initiative, you'll have a job before too long. Sadly I'm not in an industry where your skills would be well used Best of Luck! If I hear of anything however, I'll let you know -D
  11. Its not that you're uneducated, its more so that the education system in australia had a big shift to the right when they introduced subsidized uni education and encouraged all the kids to take uni grad courses in order to get the country smarter... they succeeded, but they did it at the expense of tradesmen/artisans... which is why I know guys who lay tiles in bathrooms now who earn more than some psychologists... its one of the reasons that uni graduates in certain IT fields are scorned, because in many cases the real world experience is worth more than any amount of study... and my company prioritises people with industry level qualifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Redhat and Novell/Suse, way ahead of any uni course... there are no prerequisites to take the tests, so if you know your stuff you can get those certifications (provided you also part with 4 figures >) -D
  12. Thats my argument too I'd like to see it more equal, to see how the physical status of the driver accounts for wins.... women would have better advantage in the weight stakes, and women can deal with g forces better than men (due to lower centrifual mass), but men can have more muscle in the body (arms in particular) which means a lot esp when you dont have power steering.... and its not like raching is just sitting in a seat, the body gets worked hard... so it'd be interesting to see how girls would cope in races....men vs women in stamina.. I think most people would love to see everything randomized, given that the last 10 years of f1 has been spitefully boring TBH I'd like to see F1 races that last for a lot longer.... maybe 6 hours enduro races, but with driver switches ala GroupA... let teams swap drivers at will...esp given that they've made these new rules (which I really hope make f1 interesting since I havent watched it for a decade).. This season is going to be very interesting. WOOT! -D
  13. I think its easier to learn something when you have some kind of physical application to cross reference... You can read about something as much as u want, unless you actually see how it works in real life you won't understand the references At least thats what I've found about myself... I could read a whitepaper 10 times and still not understand it.... attempt to implement it on a running machine, while maybe breaking the system, I'd usually do it in half the time it'd take me to read the damn manual.... then again im a linux engineer by trade and the documentation often sucks so learning the systems yourself are usually the best route anyhow -D EDIT : Hehe Abe, I never got my sace either, but the sad thing is, if you quit year 10 and did a 6 months Cert 3 in >anything< at TAFE, it was actually higher on the IQ meter than the SACE. So, it would have been better for me to have left highschool after year 10, do a 2 year diploma of IT at tafe, and then skip two years at a university course (if that was the course i was going to take - for what I do they don't really have applicable uni courses sadly)
  14. When RAA had to move my car, they put it on using the winch tied to my rear tow points... and my car is dumped, didnt touch the tarmac once... trick is to get em to go to the effort to put the car on arse end first... mention that u need that on the phone when you ask for a tow (provided you have those mounts that is) and im sure RAA will oblige you.. Been an RAA plus member for 12 years so far, and most of those years its really paid off... srsly guys, $120 a year ainta lot... worth having -D
  15. yeah im not mathematically inclined so i did quantative methods instead... and that was actually interesting... learning about critical path project management, statistics and complex graphs... algebra still reduces me to a whimpering heap.... quantum particle physics is easier to rationalize ;P -D
  16. What ya really need is a big ass army CO's tent.... 7x7 metres with a door canopy... made of heavy duty canvas hehe +1 army disposals. -D
  17. haha wicked i rord -D
  18. You DID say she was hopeless tho. Which is amusing. -D
  19. My first car was an r31... loved it to bits, was my introduction to modding. Didn't get to do much tho, only rims, lowered suspension, rampod and an auto to manual conversion and a $1200 boss engineering 4.11:1 LSD.... was on LPG too and ran really nicely.. was written off when i hit a patch of oil outside bianco one wet night... did a 260' spin into a bus stop... After that it was a VN holden, piece of shit, dont even want to think about it.. Then the GTR
  20. My vote is with logitech, since I've been using them for a long time. Theyre rock solid -D
  21. Well, considering she's won a few races, I daresay she's a much better driver than you... On the other hand, we could just get japanese drivers like Taki Inoue to f**k up the races like he used to back in the day. Japanese... good drifters, and then make good cars, but they can't drive F1 for shit. -D
  22. I've always been a Williams fan... back when Mansell was driving for them, then damon hill, tho having said that my favourite driver is alain prost, even tho his best years were with McLaren I'm hoping hamilton will win a second championship this year, but what I'd really like to see is Danica Patrick driving for team USA... chuck a girl in the mix and the shit becomes interesting again -D
  23. yeah he uses real fire too -D
  24. considering a decent head gasket is around $500 MAX for a tomei metal one, 3g is a blatant rip off Call Road & Track (ph no in my sig) and ask em to give u a quote -D
  25. spotted nice white 33 on north east road at hampstead nodded at driver who gave me a wave -D
