Well got the beast back and while it took the guys a while to get to the rooted hoses, it was worth it. Not only was one ruptured and spewing my precious nissan coolant all over the front diff, but there were two others very close to giving way.... probably I could give advice to anyone with a 20yr old GTR that hasn't yet replaced the hose, now is the time ;P And now I can drive without my car stankin' like anti freeze and peeing chloroform woot -D

hahah >insert witty quote about redheads and burners< sorry but how is nero the problem? If the burn fails during the procedure, your burner might be faulty. If you can't even get the file into a filesystem template and prepare the image, then give up and hire a nerd for half an hour. Then sell your PC and buy an abacus. -D

so far i've had major service (timing belt, tensioner kit) n1 water pump, isc radiator, new hosing and nissan coolant installed, i got brakes and pads on order and after that i'll be putting in N1 turbos and a new gearbox... its currently there getting a cracked heater core hose repaired... fun stuff -D

I hear ya. the gtr has spent almost a week of the last month at the mechanics getting loads of stuff done... *sigh* The angst of owning an import haha -D

theres pros and cons for both.... money is the biggest disadvantage, however if you put in a rebuilt engine, you'll know its built tough and will be able to give you another 100,000km easy, if not twice that Matty, is that a 5 watter? Perfect for cruises heh -D

Yeah mines gone back to the mechanic *sigh* this time a busted heater core hose... leaking above 70psi... .ended up losing a couple litres of my genuine nissan coolant which I only had put in last week *sigh* Frigging frigmeister of a frigmobile. -D

I supposed that is the inherent risk in buying an import.... I'm fortunate that Writeoff had imported my GTR along with another. If you buy him a beer I'm sure he'll be happy to regale the saga that the car went thru before coming here.... car was left on the docks for a year, was FORKLIFTED onto the container (which caused damage to the sill) among other things... Fortunately none of them were too serious and I've had only the normal dramas associated with GTR ownership (empty wallet, constant mechanical work, speeding fines, etc) but from the sounds of it, importing a car is a headache and best left to reputable people like Iron Chef or Prestige (which is where mine was sourced from)... -D

Yep. I dont like my cars rims to look like a malvern star's wheels. However if you like pushbikes, go right ahead. 5 or 6 spoke ftw. I see nothing wrong with stock 32/34 gtr rims ;P -D

My r32 gtr didnt even look that worn when I bought it... and it was 18 years old at the time ;\ sounds like that poor car has had a hard life -D

you dont *have* to do jack. If you've driven it and dont like it, just walk away.... and if they point a firearm at you to make you sign it, the contract is void as per terms of duress -D

Front under-spoiler looks like arse. Spoke rims are shite. bring back the solid 5 or 6 spokes i do however love the grille has some ED-209 thing going on -D
