A valid point however its not the governments responsibility. I think their PR guys believe that if they help fund motorsport venues it will contradict their hard stance on hoons. Kinda like implementing bikie laws and then buying 2 keys of eccy off them... kinda hypocritical. It would be nice if they fronted up with some money, but considering this particular governments track record, they would be loathe to spend money on a private venue. They already have enough PR problems/public outcry when spending taxpayers money to bail out car manufacturers, let along a drag racing strip. Yes I agree with many of the previous posts that having decent venues would help get a percentage of the dickheads off the streets, but for the most part it would be a recreational facility for law abiding drivers. A dickhead is going to be a dickhead at any time/space. I think the govt would spend money at lala before AIR, let alone getting a new venue happening at garden/torrens islands, however that petition idea for clipsal 500 would really be great if you could get enough signatures and then embarrass Rann by presenting the petition during a public event. (Perhaps after calling the media too *nudge nudge*) Anyhow, I'm not holding my breath. Both our state government and the opposition have made their feelings abundantly clear... government thru action, opposition via inaction. -D

One thing to add about catch cans - The non atmospheric vented ones are totally regency friendly. Will get a sump baffle before I even consider taking it to lala, and thats inspite of having an oil relocation and cooler kit installed already. I use the car as a daily so I dont wanna go fooly hektik (bahaha). Sump baffle and head baffle and catch can should be OK with N1 spec turbos and water pump I'll get there eventually... I just need someone to buy this 2nd hand liver I have for sale.... -D

I got a mechanical oil pressure gauge, no oil in my cabin really depends on how well u fasten the seals.... I prefer mechanical to electrical simply because theres too much electrical stuff in the car already, and mechanical gauges are always calibrated (well the VDO's I have are) and I like the independant readout... -D

Black one with red tail is called (funny enough) a red tailed black shark (Labeo Bicolor) (and they're bullies in the aquarium too). Theyre not really a shark, as theyre a member of the carp family. The silver ones are called Emperor ID Sharks in the prelude to the clip, however thats just another name for Shark Catfish (yes, its a catfish). They look rather cool tho. -D

Yeah I hate lag too. 350kw is bloody heaps for what I use the car for (daily) and would def get cam gears and cams. Just depends on if I can find 34 N1's cheaper than the brand new garretts - and even then it might just be worth paying the difference to have brand new turbos... so I'm guessing -5's are what I should start saving for... -D

Would -7's give similar power to stock or closer to the -5 ? -5 = quicker spoolup, is that correct? Cheers -D

I dunno how they can charge $1200 ea when I'll have the housings already removed and give them turbos.... put them back in thru someone else.... if i get this pair of blown gtr turbos and steel wheel em, it'll be regency friendly, but i cant be stuffed paying $1200 ea when I can get 2860-7's from ISC for around that price NEW -D

hrm, group buy on stock 32 turbo rebuilds in south oz? could such a thing happen? I know I'm starting to get wary, those turbos are 18 years old - theres only so long that ceramics going to last before it goes byebye... and I want to boost to 18-20 psi... main thing I want tho is having it in a std housing so it'll pass regency -D

a) Safe? Depends on the car, and most importantly for skylines/turbos, you MUST have a tune for it (otherwise it'll run like turd) b) e85 will get you more hp, mr donnon has posted figures that indicate 50kw improvements across the board... c) e85 isnt as efficient per weight/volume as petrol, so the engine drinks it quicker (ala LPG) so range is reduced d) you also need to check that the lines are going to be compatible with a rich ethanol blend. i really dont know anything about this but i recall it being mentioned - metal fuel lines wont be a problem but i think there was speculation about certain rubber compounds, the pumps longevity and the seals... best to do an in depth search for that issue -D

Anyone know what a reasonable ballpark figure I'd be looking at to get two stockie 32 gtr turbos converted to steel exhaust turbines...? I can buy some blown turbos but last quote I got for a rebuild (from an anonymous source) wanted $1250 per turbo.... for that price I can possibly get a pair of proper N1's.... MTQ and ATS get mentioned a bit, I haven't called them (usually because whenever I'm thinking about turbos its night time and theyre closed)... have any of ya'll had this done? How much did it cost you? -D

Saw a funny looking bike at my mechanics today. Had a rear wheel from something that looked like a tractor. If you've ever seen sleds rear wheel (which is bloody large) this thing is twice as high and twice as wide and it had a nissan VG30 in it.... asked the mechanic wtf it was for and he said that it was a drag racing sand bike never heard of that before. next time im there I'll see if I can take some pics. -D

Nah i dont sorry. I never minded getting fish off of reputable aquarium shops, even if they did mean extra $. Usually means the fish is young, in good health and has no diseases like fungus or white spot.. Aquascene was always one of the best. P&K Pets stepney had a decent range but their best employees have left, not sure how good the advice is there now. I think theres one on Anzac called Seaview which I heard was good but never went there myself. -D

Nissan OEM coilpacks ftw. Splitfires are inferior to nissans. 550cc injectors, depends on if you have a fuel rail or collars for them? I'd personally go Nismo for the fact theyre a plug in replacement, and theres a dude on here who sells them as part of a group buy. Hit the search button and see what u can find. -D
