I know a bunch of folks who got tatts due to peer pressure, and later regretted it (either due to shit needlework, shit design or just straight out regret) so I'd hate to see this one thread have only one point of view, so the kids out there know that someday they might regret it. What he's getting at, is that people who dont like tatts dont necessarily dislike the people who have them. My kid brother and 2 little sisters have both got tatts (and yes I lol'd). And he's spot on, you say you don't like tattoos and everyone with ink always gets their hackles up assuming people are dissing them. Tattoos don't make you who you are, its just body art, not a sign of being 'hardcore' and certainly nothing you'd ever get to impress someone. I could care less what you want to do, if you want to get ink and it makes you happy then you should go ahead and do that shit and ignore the haters. Just don't expect anyone else to be totally awestricken. Remember its our opinion, and if you don't agree, fair enough. Its just totally stupid that you actually give that much of a shit about our opinion. Flattering to think people care, but what we think is irrelevant. +1. Most people I know only get tatts to look hard or for some emo reason. Rarely do I see originality. Thats why people always get farking celtic designs, text from a language they dont speak (white guys getting chinese text, do u see chinese getting english written on them? - it probably says 'stupid white man' anyhow) or someone getting a bloody dragon, or chicks with angels, dolphins, butterflies all over themselves. +1 to women who keep themselves looking natural. I dont care what anyone says. You name a movie after a country and expect it to have any long lasting social value? f**k no. Luhrmann is an artiste. He's really good at creating unique pieces but cmon, last few movies he's made havent exactly been classified as realist. I haven't seen this. I will though. And I hope my bias against this movie doesnt make me hate it unnecessarily. But whenever you try to summarize a country up in a 2 hour hollywood format movie, made for those people with short attention spans (and even less education about the world), then its pointless. So too is trying to find our national identity in a period drama. No offence to Campion, Weir, et al, but modern australia doesn't need to be reminded of colonial past; indeed its something that the nation needs to move away from, to truly embrace the potential of multiculturalism. Saw a black 32 gtr on the way back from Modbury around 1pm Saw a police car follow me over the course of 6 backstreets about 20 minutes ago. They didn't pull me over tho, which was weird I thought *shrug* they were pretty close to me, thats for sure... yeah gotta love it, the media see a skyline tag and instantly its a high performance vehicle let alone the fact its an r31 4 door... rear does look jap, esp the 2" single tail... looks like an import camera angle is from the angle the car entered, the front snapped off and is bent around the section that isnt visible typical sensationalist journalism. pathetic. oh and good luck to the kids in there, that was a hell of a hit regardless of the shoddy reporting. i think if they survive they'll be taking the bus for quite a while. -D
