Whats wrong with the 32's climate control? ever done diagnostics on it? I can have a look if u like, i think u live relatively close too... -D
-
Well just got back from a quick test run... Took me a couple hours to fit the climate control's hot/cold door actuator and the rest of the interior I had to take out to get to it... mate of my soldered the dry joints last night... and IT WORKS! Holy smeg! I haven't had a working climate control since I bought the car and I >finally< have airconditioning at my whim! RAWR!!! feel the power! revel in its awesomeness! Thanks to madaz for showing me the tutorial link, I probably would have missed it otherwise. I owes you a brewski mon! *sings a song about summer and climate controls while dancing a jig and drinking a beer* -D

I was just discussing car bras the other day with dan, would be a great idea for anyone who does shows or goes long distance/country but the main thing is to find one with airflow cut outs (cooler + radiator)... dunno if they exist or if u can get em custom made... anyone? -D

Achilles Auto Electrical on Portrush road is who I'd recommend. I used to go to a certain auto electrician on mullers road who jacked me around when my alternator got rebuilt by them (at $330 too), so whatever u do, don't go to them ;P -D

Thats funny as hell.... I know the petrol station in question cause I passed it twice going up and back from Berri... and its in the middle of nowhere... Wouldve been an adventure lol -D

Where are you taking them to be sprayed? I need to get my front bar and rear spoiler done (paintmatched cause its non standard)... -D

Well I used the post that steve linked on the weekend to get to the hot/cold door actuator assembly... took me 2 hours cause I had to remove the centre console, stereo, climate control and such to get to the unit, and then the screws were seized and I couldn't figure out how to get the arm off the bracket... Finally got it tho... and when I opened the unit up, it had dry joints at the exact same place as the pictures in the tutorial... whoever made those units did a shoddy job on the soldering. Gonna have to get a mate to fix that tonite, but if anyone else with 32s out there is having problems with their aircon blowing hot air (or being randomly switching from hot to cold) then its a safe bet that you got the same issue... Ahh, to have working aircon for summer. Will be great. It'll take me at least 2 hrs to put the insides back together but well worth it (considering it costs $0 to fix) -D

SLR's are remarkably easy to learn the basics. Lens aperture, depth of field, variable exposure rates and manual control over focus is what makes the SLR's so powerful... would take you 2 hours max to figure the controls out, but longer to do the fancy stuff (cause depth of field and what not takes a little while to comprehend if you're not photo savvy) But eh, its your cash -D

hey vu, what mags are those u got there? -D

Not sure who made this quote but "There is no limit to the boundaries of human stupidity." -D

Yo Steve thanks for posting that link for the aircon terminals, gonna get into it tonight and see what i can do cheers -D

Spotted the one and only MissR34.... had a great time at berri.... they put on car shows that shit all over autosalon.... i think its worth the 3 hour drive to get there.... had lunch with the folks (who came up in their merc) on the bank of the murray, tapas, bruschetta and beer... was good loads of different rides to check out, everyone was friendly (as opposed to the 'salon where everyone gives ya a death glare while crossing their arms) and the band they had playing didnt suck... would be nice to get a better presence in the jap import class. this year is was a squad of 5x 300zx's (who incidentally took the judges to dinner the night before the awards. suss? hrmmm), my 32, caras 34, lex's rex and another bloke who had a 33. there were a couple of silvias too had a great drive home. took a while but it was a real nice night. only problem i had was my airconditioning switching to 'heat only' when it hit nuriootpa. really need to get that fixed. awaiting pics from cara. heh. -D

I'm still keen for this. I'll just have to double check that I'm not needed for work this day. how far away is said school? will it be within walking distance, or able to be reached via a road thats not blocked off? other idea is to get everyone to bring something to share that doesnt require heat (and green salad is BANNED). sounds like a decent idea but for most people, drinking on sunday night is a killer cause of work the next morning... saturday night we could do something however -D

Some thoughts; Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they’re out to get you, it means you think you matter. One thing you can say for enemies, they make life more interesting. Life’s so much easier when you’ve got someone to blame. All attributed tp Gilbran Quail, Collected Essays -D

So did they change the way they control the boost or did they just use that combination in a different package (ie integration) Heh I like to learn as much as I can (im not mechanically inclined tho i'm not too bad at engineering) so i appreciate the correction. I'm not quite sure in that case what the hose on the skylines does, as when I got mine there was already a boost controller installed so I never had to play around with that side of things... I would have figured that regardless of the hose, the mechanics and tuning stays the same, what you're doing by changing the hose is reducing a pressure bottleneck along the line... no? -D

Yo I did something similar except I bought a zorst from an rb30dett and had Mark from Exhaust Tech fit it for me. Give them a call dude, they are very good on rates and do top quality work -D
-
Oh hey you just reminded me of a stupid joke... Q: What do u call a bloke who cant use a welder? A: An Oxymoron. -D
-
My understanding of the mechanics is thus; Pressure is determined by the ECU (or boost controller) releasing the blow off valve when the turbo has reached or exceeds its specification (at least electronicly controlled ones do). Turbos are constantly spooling, the only reason that they don't come on boost till a certain time is because the BOV is always open, then it closes, boost builds up and then once boost is reached the valve either opens enough to keep it at the set pressure, or it opens entirely when you change gear. At least thats how I think it works. Ryan? -D

What is victory? Is it to defeat your enemy on the field of battle? Is it to simply repulse his armies and slay his misguided warriors? No, this is only the beginning! True victory is to crush your foes utterly, to shatter his armoured legions and run down his fleeing troops as they scatter. Pursue them to their lairs and burn them out. Burst into his unholy temples, smash down his icons and topple his foul idols. Burn his heretical works and leave no stone upon stone. Slaughter his followers, their families and their livestock lest any of their taint remain. And when that is done, put the ruins to the torch. Any that have dealt with them or given then succour must be obliterated, for memory is insidious and though you have crushed their will and their bodies they may yet return. Send warrior scribes to excise the records of their name, expunge their deeds from the annals of history and remove even the memory of your foe’s existence. Only then have you truly won. That is the meaning of victory.

yeah man. grimace from mcdonalds is purple, yet he set the land speed record in '85. True indeed that he only did it cause there was a big mac at the end but it beats letting the hamburgler get it... -D
