  1. Yeah r31's are seriously underrated... they have some awesome handling and the rb30de is no slouch either. Ugly ass interior is the biggest complaint but when you're driving hard, looking out the front windscreen, that matters not Would be nice to have an r31 driftcar like mattys got but eh, gotta pay this one off first -D
  2. As easy as it can be. I had to submit a bunch of forms, then I had to get the information about the car sent to them by the current owner as well as arrange for a quote for the comprehensive insurance which is mandatory. Thats on top of the usual identification, credit check bs that goes with any financial institution. But thems the breaks, and they are pragmatic requirements when you think about it. Uninsured cars FTL. Its a small price to pay for owning a nice ride. -D
  3. I'm curious to know what you'd think about your engine vs a dett.... I'd love to get more torque because its true that they do feel dead under that rev range but for that rev range I'm generally just doing the daily street driving... if I wanna go fast I just keep it as close to 5500rpm as possible, only downside is the noise and petrol consumption.... Still I know theres no substitute for displacement, and I'm wondering very much what a 30dett would be like with ISC's turbos > chuck in e85 *shiver* me so horny -D EDIT Oh yeah, as to the original post ; get a gtr if you're not into drifting or pro drag racing. the 4wd makes the car handle so very nicely, but the extra weight is something drifters and draggers try to get rid of (and so they generally get the 2wd versions and put in massive custom engines heh). My gtr's the best car I've ever driven, feels better than porsche 911 and 928s as far as handling is concerned. The way my suspension is setup makes it a very harsh ride (so its not a luxury car, esp not with the r32 interior being so basic) but if you want a car that you can *feel* then the GTR is the way to go
  4. I hope they got a good lawyer. Cops sure had better know what the hell theyre doing if theyre going to screw with someones livelihood. Defected for pods? If it wasnt fastened then yeah they deserve the defect but if not, I'd be lawyering up. Does synergy sell vehicles freshly imported or vehicles after compliance is performed? -D
  5. Heh well, I wouldn't be here if it wasnt for my old R31.... it was my first car, on LPG.... once the gearbox (auto) died I did a manual conversion on it, and after that my wallet stayed empty as I proceeded to pour money into mods haha. Lowered it, got a phat stereo, got a handmade 1:4.11 diff from Boss Engineering, Mags, did the intake. Was gonna fit a spoiler and do the zorst but I wrote it off in a freak drifting accident (and I was heartbroken)... but then I started checking out the 32, and I really liked the way the arse looked compared to the 31. I liked the s3 31 appearance, it had a nice aggressive front end but didnt really have a nice looking rear profile, and only looked ok from the side. It drove better than the Corolla, Sigma, the datto 120y, the xf ford falcon, the vn commodore, the hyundai getz and the suzuki vitara (the cars my family own that I occasionally borrow). And after a petrolhead mate told me about the legendary godzilla, I was caught, hook, line and sinker. For me at the moment I love the flared guards the most, they remind me of classic roadster/sports cars, but it was always the technology that was put into them that made me interested. The speed and the ride was a joy I was soon to discover, and tbh I can't see myself upgrading to any car cause I love working this 32 gtr too much. 5 years time I might buy a pure electric car for groceries, or a second gtr to turn into a track car > who knows I got respect for the 34 more than the 33, but the 33 is a little more practical (on the basis that they have more internal space). Going from a VN Commodore which can best be described as a couch on wheels, to a GTR, I had to learn how to pack things efficiently... -D

  20. +1 its just not worth the damn hassle. any good cooler worth its salt will fit into the stock vehicle. cost u more in the longrun if you get defected, and its not worth undermining the integrity of your vehicles structure... at least thats my 2c Speak to Ryan at ISC or Mark at Exhaust Tech, they can probably fix you up with a nice cooler for your car which wont require cutting -D
  21. damn, i know someone did it... using the stock triple cluster, and just replaced the faceplate or the gauge mechanics itself... would be nice to get that stock gauge reading up to 2 bar, or even 1.5 bar.... would save my having to sacrifice an aftermarket gauge slot... Just went for a testdrive, no speedo ;| Think I havent put the speedo cable into the dash properly... ohwell, tomorrow more stuff to do it looks like.. -D
  22. Hey heslo, was it you or nightcrawler who replaced the stock GTR boost gauge with a psi/bar one in the centre din ? Im sick of mmHg and I want something that goes up to 2 bar or 28 psi... anyone know how I can do this on a 32 while keeping the stock volt/water temp gauges? Cheers -D
  23. Just spent 5 hrs taking my old shitty bubbled and screw-hole riddled dashboard out and putting in a replacement. Got the new dash on but need to get some interior parts before I finish the job ;P Heres what the car looked like without a dash Anyone know what wreckers are open tomorrow? -D
  24. Hiyas I urgently need a couple of pieces of interior for my 32 gtr... firstly the under dash fuse box surround and panel, and secondly the centre console middle brace (pictures attached below of the pieces I removed). Dont like the screw holes. wanna replace it this week ;P Thanks -D
