I wouldnt even use redline in one with a worn box. My GTR had it. Bloody awful stuff. As soon as they flushed it out and stuck in a mineral oil (not sure what type), most of my shifts were much smoother...besides the redline stuff looks like pureed smurf. Pureed smurf cant be good for any gearbox.. -D

Was next to a dude in a Silver R33 with a Nismo sticker on the side of the rear spoiler, on North East Road turning into Mullers Road.... ended up having a mini drag, I got the better cause I was on the inside lane but backed off around 70 where he flew past hehe.. Nice car -D

I didnt get to see the plates as they were in other lanes but one of them had a nice tint and stickers on the drivers side rear section... looked nice... Also saw a black r34 on fosters road (i think it was black)... Also saw a dude in a silver ac shelby cobra....blue bucket seat and a 5 point roll bar....it was tiny, had what im guessing is a hefty v8 under the hood (anyone know what they usually came with?).... dude drove around me on McIntyre so I followed him a bit, and stayed behind him for the turn into the golden way. He looked in his rear view mirror, grinned (I bet he could see my grin checking out its arse), and gunned it. Yeah, it was fooking fast and I had no chance of keeping up with it... Shelby Cobras are PHAT. -D

It depends on the particular model. The alarm needs to interface with the gps+gsm unit... some of the Autowatch series have this feature. Otherwise the other ones I know of are all in one units (and are generally monitored and uber pricey) -D PS If you want to talk alarms, give George at Adelaide Pro Sound a tingle. He did a great job on my r32...was worth the drive south heheh

Saw a black r33 turning off Grand Junction Road towards Holden Hill cop shop, saw another white R33 about 10 mins later outside of Wilderness Girls school North East Road.. -D

Saw a nice white r34 in the Repco/Leader Computers car park in the city. Seen it there a few times, so Im gussing its one of the employees of either place.. Also saw a Red R32 GTR without its front bar on Payneham Road. Looks like he had just had an intercooler fitted.. -D

Saw a few nice cars today; Grey R33 GTR on Main North Road 4:30 at Hampstead Gardens, gave the dude driving a nod... Black R33 (GTR I think) on Wellington Square in North Adelaide, waved to driver. My boss borrowed a silver 200sx from somewhere. Very nice ride. Also saw Red and Blue 200sx's today as well as a White R32 GTR without a spoiler (and a very dirty rear end) parked in the city (forget the street)... -D

Heyas I have a GTR but would be wondering about a few things : Most of my car is stock. 18 yrs old and all, aside from maintenance and broken items. My worry is that something will break while I run the car around the track, and since the car is my daily driver I really dont want this to happen. I'd like to know what things usually break on stock cars once they get fanged a bit. I have ceramic turbs anda boost controller which never gets taken above 1 bar, etc (see my sig for full mods) but I worry bout breaking my clutch, wearing out my brakes too quick, also wonder how much petrol im gonna go thru while Im hammering it hard. Full tank of hi octane = 2 hrs driving on full throttle perhaps? Not to mention that but I really am not that much of a driver. the gtr is the first high performance car Ive owned and I still need to learn how to drive properly (sounds funny but most of the veterans know what im talking about)... I dont know how to launch hard, corner hard or drift or anything fancy....so if ur thinking of breaking records, I'd suck nuts at it in spite of the GTR. I got 200kw on low boost but really don't wanna fang too hard... it has been tested 260kw on unsafe boost levels but Im not willing to go there.. I guess im just gonna have to get more money and upgrade all the weak shit... turbos, brakes, clutch, gearbox synchros n bearings etc.. -D

Heya I think theyre probably referring to the suspension plate... When I crashed my r31 into a kerb, the entire plate was pushed back, it required unbolting from the chassis and the boltholes reinforced. Before I got it fixed the castor was totally screwed and the guys at Bob Janes couldnt prevent the wheels scraping the inner guard (I hit at 80kph or so, unsurprisingly the suspension needed looking at) I'm with Madaz. Those plates dont just move... its possibly pushed back due to incorrect suspension setup but more likely to have taken a hit to dislodge it. Isnt very expensive to fix, just has to be unbolted and rebolted (if the plate itself hasnt sustained damage). My panel beater/mechanic/handyman at the time fixed it within an hour one saturday arvo... -D

Hiya brittz, was actually heslo who I saw but no doubt I'll see ya around the place Saw a nice Yellow R33 GTR on Port Rush Road today, has a for sale sign on the passenger rear quarter panel, very nice looking car. Saw a white 33 in the city parked near the gouger st tyrepower and another white 33 on ways road. Also saw a grey 33 on ways road (close to where I live, whats this, 3 skylines in the one street?) -D

Spotted a white r33 in Grenwith tonite just off Golden Way, booted it up to check the numberplate (which i did and i recognized it, personalized and all) but I forgot to write it down... it continued past the roundabout and I turned right... so if u saw a white GTR behind ya, that was me... (was it u heslo?) -D

Used the guys at Pedders prospect about 6 months ago to check out the issues with my suspension on my VN Commodore. They nailed it down to a hell of a lot of dodgy bushes and a stuffed steering rack... they charged around $1000 to replace all the bushes, still havent bothered to replace the rack ;P.... dunno how good they'd be with R32's but I was pretty happy with their service! Cheers -D Edit: I will however be taking the R32 there in a couple weeks, they only charge $50 or so for a full suspension/bushes checkout.

Well... Justcar has lower requirements for cover than shannons and have less options.... thats why they generally have a 'take it or leave it' deal going on, where as shannons will bend over backwards for you if you meet their criteria (ie very clean driving record)... Im with Justcar at the moment but will be going with Shannons next year (when my 2001 speeding fine isnt counted)... Makes me wonder tho if we should organize an SAU 'badging' day where we let the cops tag the inside of our cars in a few diff pts. Bodykit, Engine, Chassis.... Course we'd be wanting some sorta guarantee that we wouldnt be defected (innocent look).... hrm I can dream cant I? Otherwise everyone gets a grp deal on a nice 3 stage immob+alarm with GPS tracking and GSM/SMS notification and shutdown... Oh and some nice digital cell 2 way encrypted radios so we can co-ordinate rendition, extraction and ultimately a painful interrogation for these nubs that keep stealing our rides. Heyas I have several things for sale: 1. Marshall JMP-1 guitar Pre-amp. Less than 100 hours actual power on use. paid $1800 5 years ago. Asking $1400... 2. Holden VN Commodore Series 2 1989 Executive Auto 3.8lt, White. $1500 Not Neg. 150,000 km on engine (genuine). $1500 worth of bushes and servicing done within last 6 months. Needs new rear tyres ($160) and steering rack ($550) as well as registration to be a good daily driver. Car has panel damage on Front right side panel, Bonnet has dents, and there is some rear impact damage to the right rear. (Car was stolen and cosmetically damaged) I've done 20,000km with this car, replaced the fuel pump, ecu, exhaust, torque converter & the usual filters and wheel alignments etc. Interior is in good condition. 3. R31 GTS-X rear spoiler. I never got to fit this to my old R31 before it was written off. Paid $200 for it, asking $100 as is. Color dark blue. 4. A single Auscar 15" Mag w/ tyre, 4 spoke configuration. A leftover from my r31, free to whoever wants it. PM me if interested...... Thanks -Ben

Saw a black R32 GTR continuing up main north road at the gepps x intersection. Had a couple stickers on it... I waved to the guys in there (dunno if they saw) and then continued up Port wakefield rd. -D
