  4. thats pretty much what i dread he has one of those wankers 4wds... a certified burnside bus (mercedes ML320 suv) which hasnt got the tyres or lift to go off road but has a 'low gear' setting incase your mansion is on an incline... hes a bad driver too...has a habit of not checking his blind spot -D
  5. nasty, dont let ur mates drive. i dont even let my parents drive mine. imho this doesnt need a thread of its own- wasteland is for posts like this mods tend to frown upon multiple topics getting raised -D

  8. anyone out there want to join our display? Have had a few people from last year drop out due to personal commitments, so would be good to get some more people on board, esp anyone with jdm or aus r31s, r34, r35, stags, dr30's C10's etc -D

  10. i got a linksys wrt54gs which i loaded a copy of embedded linux on (dd-wrt) and i was able to overclock it 10% (from 200mhz to 220) and boost the tx strength from 28mw to 95mw (i could go as high as 250mw but that'd just blow the transciever up)... never have a problem with my torrents now but it was a pita when it was loaded with stock linksys firmware -D
  11. we've always been behind the times. back in the day i used to run a bbs, they used to charge 25c per phone call. in the US, you pay a monthly line rental and thats it. individual phone calls are free and back in the BBS days, you'd rack up a huge phone bill cause you'd generally have to poll other bbs's for fidomail, newsgroups as well as file xfers (at the blazing fast speeds of 33.6k) internet = better -D EDIT - Pete, you can still keep your email address - ask that adam converts it into an email alias (redirection), pay them the $5-$10 per year for the service and have it redirected to your new ISP Alternatively, you can register your own domain name or subdomain (aka [email protected] or [email protected]) and then take it with you no matter what ISP you go to... costs a bit more but looks much more professional, PLUS you can run a website using the same domain name (if you wanted to)
  12. pwnt -D
  13. around $7k for used engine + box, at least thats what some of the wreckers charge, you may be able to get em cheaper thru private sale also, go for an s2/s3 33r engine + box - s2+ boxes have better synchros and the 33 engines have the long nose crank -D
  14. that would be using a telstra leased exchange put your phone number in here for internode - https://secure.internode.on.net/webtools/in...ode-dsl-finder/ if you're lucky you'll be in an exchange that has internodes own adsl2+ exchanges won't get as much data as iinet but the service and the network speed has to be experienced to be believed adam are good too - just not quite as good as node. they have good customer service, their network isn't quite as good as nodes tho -D
  15. gotta get the wife working krishy, then u can spend ur entire salary on beer and skyline -D

  20. I have a dash in my garage I removed 2 yrs ago - has a couple screw holes on the left side of the cluster where a big gauge was mounted, and it has the bubble in the typical location good if you want to retrim it or just need a dash for a track basher, but not so great if you're looking for a replacement for a showcar PM me if you're interested -D
