  1. its pretty sad. not that i really care who coaches port, he was there for a long time and picked them up from a mediocre club to one that won a premiership. nothing anyone can say can take that away from him, as it proved he as a coach had what it takes - how does this years team compare to the premiership team? Reminds me of the unceremonial way they dumped poor Cahill... least they gave choc the option of saving face and resiging. and pete, if he goes to sydney and they beat port next season at the end of the ladder i daresay hes going to be a very happy chap -D
  2. not quite, as i told you the cam timing was due to the TDC marking on the cams being out several degrees I have read however that some belts do stretch, however this is only during acceleration and only by the very smallest margin - once the belt is running the cams on a standard or decelerating speed they hold their shape - spoke to several mechanics about this and they agreed it was all a theory that whilst true, didn't make any bearing upon the timing of the engine as a whole -D Edit - to add to petes post, why bother porting it at all? the gains are negligible and not worth it unless you're chasing that extra 1/10th a second around a track - waste of money on a streetcar but if u got the coin to spend a couple g's to get 5 extra kw then cool
  3. +1 again. I dont see how the belt is meant to expand under heat - the very compound that stops it stretching stops it from contracting kye is spot on about the noise - only happens when its too tight, and ive never had a problem with my gates racing belt - maybe its a tonne different than the normal gates belt, who knows... -D
  4. +1 million. Bodykit dont even fit right. cant be acceptable let alone awesome ;\ -D
  5. not that i know of. full depth seam weld should do it ok but if u can get a 45' brace it should strengthen the whole front end too -D
  6. Chocos out http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/port-adelaid...u-1225889746016 he "quit" but do we think he was pushed out? -D
  7. Ive only ever heard that from you. Been running gates belt for over a year and never noticed any difference in noise. -D
  8. Saw "MR R34" Yellow GTT on Mawson Lakes boulevard yesterday arvo around 4:30 - looked straight and stood out a lot -D
  9. yeah so now when creating a new user, instead of getting an email account and a home share created automatically now u gotta create the folder, share it, put that in AD and then open up exchange mgmt console and create the mailbox - which does propagate into ad but still, its a pita... -D
  10. Yeah. Im not a fan of the new way they separated exchange from AD (which tbh is the old ways as thats how it used to be pre-2003) setup win2008 on a vhost last year and the damn thing needed 4192megs to install. Not a meg less. Was very frustrating. I had to fool the vm by creating a hdd swap. Which made the install go on for a long time due to page swapping. Fun. -D
  11. its great isnt it everytime u get lonely u can put a mini tramp in front of a mirror and watch ur own titties jiggle -D
  12. With pretty much any second hand car, it's very wise to assume that the car has not had a 100k service and get it done anyhow - this is a given as you just dont know. Definately get a person who knows that model of car to have a look... -D
  13. If its an early mini, I can't say that they're anywhere near safe... dash welded on in only two spots - front end accident = amputation of legs -D
  14. i hope u gave her a piece of friendly advice - that being get some training or get off the roads... -D
  15. Nope. Not a chance. (I wish - it'd be much cheaper) Are you after a std 50 pin card or something that needs 68 pin lvd? -D
  16. that im not sure of however given i have an rb26, i know the parts are a little more common than say, i 1jz... $200 for a pair of 26 camgears is a good buy - most 'name' brands double it. nitto are still cheap ($220) but they list the exact specs of their billet steel - which i like) in either case- isc camgears have done the job for me on my rb26 so kudos to isc -D
  17. I was going to go with Nitto cam gears simply because they listed the exact grade of their billet steel which was very high quality - the shop didnt have them in stock and i needed camgears so i went with a set of isc, which are effectively the same (5 point tension screws as opposed to 3 or 4) why pay $600 when the ISC for $200 are just as good (if not better imho) that said, id still go nitto if i was pulling 600+ hp but for my needs, isc is win -D
  18. speak to isc and get one of each for half the price blue for intake, red for exhaust ;D =D
  19. on another note i was sent this link im not quite sure what to make of it http://thesnuggiesutra.com/ -D

  24. Seaton Crash Repair.. theyre the most westernish crash repairer that i know of I was going to get some work done on my r31 thru them, but i ended up totalling the car so never got to use them, however they were very professional and were highly recommended. -D
  25. Thats what I use - it aint bad at all Northgate is on a rim - you're thinking of Lightsview/Lightview which is adjacent - and is still being constructed -D
