  1. Oh I do love test drive. Going from the c64 version with digital joysticks to a PC with analogue joystick was a total headuck... -D

  3. Avoid the Cross Keys.... avoid it like the bubonic plague ...unless you love to see the effects of gravity first hand (Isaac Newton would f**king love that place) -D

  5. Haven't needed to use these blokes, but have heard they know their stuff from several folks: Precision Differential & Gearbox Centre 552 Port Road Allenby Gardens, Australia, 5009 SA -D
  6. If its a streeter my guess is you'll be wanting poncam type B's (i see you already have adjustable cam gears)... You wont need to change springs for them. I believe the difference is the Type A is a lumpier cam which will get you more power than the B's but the B's have smoother delivery.. I could be wrong though -D Edit - Actually I got that completely wrong. Type A is meant for stock/N1 turbos and Type B is meant for larger turbos - and since you have the -5's, probably both of them would suit - info direct from Tomei - http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogue/e070_cam_RB26.html

  10. I don't know about the rust issue - you'd probably be best off asking a mechanic/engineer what can be done about that -D

  12. If you need a replacement intake side camshaft, I have one sitting in my shed I can part with - have an exhaust side too but the half moon is snapped off so probably can't sell that one -D

  15. Always nice to know that there are mechanics out there that know what customer service still means. no? -D
  16. "Bring into this?" - what? I was giving you a recommendation Martin. The only reason you haven't done work on my car is due to the bung clutch that prevented you doing a dynotune. I've had no issues with Willall, nor has anyone I've met - so would you like me to not recommend people to go and see you? Incidentally, I'm still interested in getting a tune sometime. One day when I find the motivation to get things fixed. -D
  17. True indeed. Though if you're entirely clueless like me, you need to pay someone to do it for you -D
  18. I've heard great things about Steve too, but re Boostworx - your list is rather large, and its not surprising that they might be wanting to get work out of the way before starting on a bigger job like yours. I would be surprised if anyone said that it was going to only take a day, as quite honestly some diagnostic stuff can take several days, and a full decent tune is not a 5 minute job. I've used Boostworx before and they've always done good work to my car so I've never really been bothered when they said they needed to spend more time on it - after all, a rushed job is no good for the business or the owner... quality work needs quality time. Sure you can take it to some other place and git'r'done on the quick but can you rely on that work? The poor man pays twice. I know its a damn inconvenience when you dont get your car back on time but better to find a quality workshop that gets it right the first time rather than having to return multiple times. My previous workshop took 3 months to do a head gasket repair and refurbish whence they'd quoted 2 weeks - and at that stage it was 50% and I sent it to boostworx to get completed - incidentally they hadnt even started disassembling it so Ruby came and disassembled it for me, the champ that he is Its not a case of more interesting work but more a matter of first come first served. Sometimes they just happen to get some difficult jobs that were booked out previously, that just happen to blow out their estimates and thats all there is to it. Shit happens In either case, I'm still happy to use Boostworx, as I'm happy to use Wilall. Manta are 101% quality from what I've heard and I'm sure you'll be satisfied with his work. -D
  19. Spotted ECR33 on Northern expressway just after 6... too bad the weather was dark and crappy I didnt get to see too much -D
  20. Yep. And a pair of dickheads in a couple of blue WRX's that seem the need to do 80 in the local 60 zones. Theres also morons in commodores that tail you and feel the need to do 170 on the PRE as soon as they see me. Makes you wonder what they're feeding the knuckledraggers. But yes, I see many nice cars. The other day was a yellow charger in really good condition, and a bloke in a 33 gtr taking the roundabout at 100 (doesn't he know the po-po have cameras there?) #sux2behim... I'll keep an eye out for your ride - park near where I park and I'm bound to spot ya! -D
