just bought my cousins son a 1:43 scale white r32 GTR die cast model hes 2 and a half years old and is totally fascinated with my car. mainly cause its noisy im sure looking forward to seeing him unwrap the package. looks exactly like mine, 10cm long and has working bonnet and doors heh even 2 year olds have good taste sweet eh? -D

I wont argue most of those points because they are true in most regards, however I would argue that Gilman (while I'd LOOOOVE it to happen) is looking more and more unlikely due to lobbying from housing development groups and people concerned about the noise level. IMHO the tb site isnt remotely competitive to the gilman venue - its another venue in the country to support people that dont live in the city - its not about drawing city folks away, but if they want to make that trip then it adds to the competition and variety and so forth. Also, having a rural site with lots of land makes it a perfect 'festival' setting where people can park their own cars and pitch tents/place caravans in an off section and then have a main event in the middle (a motorsport version of oakbank in other words) not sure about the whole andra thing re AIR but as far as I know the decision to revoke the AIR status was due to a conflict with bob jane. this wouldnt be the case if it was administered by the TB council and or the sporting car club - provided the site is maintained and brought up to the proper safe standards that ANDRA recommend then I welcome another venue we shouldnt be knocking this. the more venues, the more the people of SA win. -D

TB is less than 2 hours away from the CBD it takes southies that much time to get to lala or even virginia in some cases i'd definately make the journey for skidpan practicing would be a good venue for autofest too. inject a bit of money into TB. who knows how big it can get - with the right political support, it could turn into the premier sa motorsport venue... wishful thinking sure, but this is a step in the right direction and I welcome it as such -D

thats quite generous however I think my current box may have shaved cogs in which case it wouldnt be honorable to sell if its that bad ill just rebuild it with osgiken sets, but if i can sell it and help someone out that'd be cool too i also got my stock turbos coming out early jan when i fit the rebuilt N1's.... hotswap for regency or a nice housing to get rebuilt meh ... i hate shitty nights when u get shitty news and u can drink a tonne and that still doesnt make a difference spewin. -D

2nd gear is gone and 4th is on its way out - thats just my uneducated guess after having ran it after 2.5 years - the thrust bearing might be rooted too (im not sure how to test that)... i dont want to sell it without having my mechanic inspect it - i dont want to sell anything dodgy.... however ruby and others have driven it and said its not so bad... maybe im anal about changes, but I'm getting my 33 gtr box fitted in early jan so I'll know for sure what quality my current one is at. It only sometimes grinds but thats enough to make me upgrade. Not so concerned about selling it. If I dont sell it I'll just OsGiken it -D

i learnt on a 35 year old masaru kohno japanese/spanish acoustic.... picking was a no no fingerpicking = uber i ended up playing my electrics like the spanish, without a pick. my fingers paid the price... i can simultaneously play bass and lead on a single guitar but double picking and hammeron hammer off is still beyond me -D

ill have a 26 gtr box for sale in jan with f**ked up synchros for under a G if you're keen, doesnt come with xfer case tho -D

yeah its good cause u can play pretty much any solo by dave gilmour but then when i try to do vai i fail sux -D

problem for me is i used to do jazz/blues piano as a kid so my brain is stuck in the open e pentatonic most of the time haha -D

nice pentatonic solo midway makes me wanna jam with ya, but im nowhere near as good as u are lols -D

I wouldnt be worried with that your power curve is extremely linear and only tapers out on the top end - excellent power vs response... perfect ratio for your trackwork and daily, would make an excellent street car (i'm pretty much aiming for that, but maybe to tweak it a little more to the left at the expense of top end power) what did you get from the dyno dynamics set? -D
