  8. cheers mate - was on my way to road & track to drop off some stuff they lent me for the show -D
  9. grammar or the sacrelige of painting the 34 rims in black spraypaint ? what a noob lrn 2 sp33k 3ngl1sh y0 that said, i have nothing against 34 rims repainted, but at least powdercoat em -D
  10. Slight paint fractures from bottoming out, some scuffing on the front bar, but ya get that. prolly get the lip removed for phase 3 of painting etc -might very well leave it off until we have a show you'll always get that shit in rural shows, thats why judges are a little lenient for the random stone chip - they know that theres no way we're putting car bras on -D
  11. any wrecker with imports in their yard would have them. Nissan would certainly have them, but far more expensive. go to nisswreck, japanese import spares or JMS - one of those 3 should sort u out -D
  12. It certainly sounds brilliant and accelerates like a missile once its spooled up. Certainly beats my GTR easily in power output however my car is more of a daily so I want the responsiveness/low end power Still, that never hurt me overtaking caravans today on the way home > *giggles* -D
  13. thats a little bit diff cause they are just inserts and imho the 33 gtr wing is the best looking wing any 33 can have i more meant the GT-R badge on the rear of the car (sometimes on the front)... which you're not trying to do (but if u were I'd have to have words with you haah) -D
  14. Ahh yes, forgot to thank Stuart Edwards, Cara and the crew at Autopro loxton for securely storing some vehicles, for their organization of the show and for all the hard work in general. I think it was over 150 entrants too, this time we had some boats there as well. It was a bit too hot for me to own the bouncey castle but maybe next year eh Also had great fun with the UHF radios on the way up. I'll be sourcing myself a 5 watter like Pete has, which means I have two 0.5 watt digitechs for sale @ $20 each - they transmit up to 4 cars in front of you and can listen in to any signals within 10 km PM me if you're keen - I know some of you had UHF's but didnt bring them, and I reckon I'm going to want to pursuade every car to have a radio of some sort for any long distance cruises. Not sure when the next Kadina show is, but I'll definately go to that and plan it, and maybe if Les Adams schedules the Mt Gambier show at a time other than a) so close to loxton b) same weekend as extreme HP then I'd like to do that one as well. Time to relax and rest my sore legs and swig on more alcohol. -D
  15. Yeah I had fun too. We scored well with raffle tickets, Luke got 2 prizes (some oil and something else), pete got a CD rack, I won a DVD player and Dion won a digital tv set top tuner... shane scored 2 awards for puresx and pete won 2 awards for the sled (which positively had the locals drooling).. had many many drinks on the saturday night (except for pete who is old and needed his nap), with more than a couple of us waking up this morning feeling rather seedy... Andrew in particular was worse for wear, after we hit martins supply of cigars and rounded off the second bottle of bourbon.... capped it all off with a midnight feed of bacon and egg sandwiches cooked on the outdoor bbq.... too good. I managed to get 2 breakfasts, a midnight feed and a sausage sizzle lunch today for everyone and I still had leftovers to take home. We also got given a bunch of free yiros' by the Loxton Cricket Club at the end of the day - they had a fundraiser stall set up next to us. Sunday we went on the Riverland cruise from Loxton to Berri to Renmark... loads of great cars came out - I can't think of any event which would have jap imports, american and aussie muscle next to restored morrises, a ferrari, a lamborghini, a couple of replica shelby cobras (not that you can tell they're replicas) and all the other esoteric cars that came for the ride. On a down note, Dion blew his turbo while we had a little run around the riverside this morning, however it didn't stop him from keeping up with us on the way home, and has given him some new toys to buy Bring on Riverland Expo 2010. I'll be there. -D
  16. Well its been a fun day We all met at 7am for the bbq brekky and were out at the oval by 8:15... sunshade frame was already assembled and space pegged out so all we had to do was roll the cars into position and line em up, do some last minute detailing and put the sides of the tent on. On that note I'd like to thank everyone involved in this show for their exceptional teamwork ability, 'can do' attitude and willingness to help - its been a breeze thanks to you all so thanks. while im biased, i though the entire show looked excellent, top marks for everyone presenting a nice mix of nissans. Was quite warm in the morning as we were setting up, most of us were on our 3rd or 4th bottle of water by that point (i personally drank $16 of bottled water - do the math) but around 1pm we had a nice breeze pickup - the SAU shade that Andrew bought performed admirably, especially since we were able to change the sides depending on shade and wind. We had around 16 people seated under the shadecloth and andrews air mattress. i also think that if they had an award for most intoxicated display that we'd win a trophy hands down due to the numerous beverages consumed by all. a very nice selection of cars were there, from 67 ss camaros, gtho's, shelby cobras, a ferrari and a lambo diable, gary myers insane car (twin blowers omfg), few interesting imports of all sorts and the inevitable bogan mobiles.. some utter crap there too but ya get that at all shows... right now im just relaxing in the hotel room with the aircon on full - im pink at the moment, by tomorrow ill probably look like a hairy tomato...sunscreened too late but thats my own damn fault... few more bourbons and I wont much care... cabaret dinner starting in 2 hours, should be a good night oh yeah... luke didnt spew last nite, but Ill do my best to destroy his liver tonight...and krishy is some kind of george clooney type, picking up the local hussies within >minutes<... i was very impressed... i think there was good reason for pete to be looking at krishy when he said 'if anyone dates my daughter ill shoot them'.... youve been put on notice my man lols anyhow, after ive had a chance to swap pics with everyone I'll post a few up (unless someone wants to beat me to it) Next: sleepin, english brecky v2.0, cruise around the riverland and a nice relaxing drive back home EDIT - heres a crap pic from my phone in the meantime -D
  17. and they did indeed look sweet on damos car not a fan of chromies but i make an exception for those -D

  19. funny thing is, my mech has an lp500 countach in the garage, as well as a 700kw gt v8 ute, a 57 tbird, 77 stingray a high performance speed boat with supercharged v8.... -D
  20. Report from my hotel room Everyone made it OK via the Murray Bridge route sans Hostile who arrived half an hour ago and uby (I'm not sure when he's coming). Had fun on the way up with 2 way CB radios, but it makes me want to upgrade from a 0.5 watter to a 5 watt like SLED has Various small dramas on the way up... luke using 3/4 a tank of petrol on the way up (wtf?) my lip coming off, Dions lip cracked, Hostiles 4wd not working and to top it off, some dumbarse local rear ended drift_s13 and tried to palm it off like it was drifts' fault - luckily there were witnesses and they went straight to the cop shop to report it. I had a look at the damage, looks like a lot of work but thankfully no chassis damage. We all had a good dindins at the hotel after setting up (well half setting up) the SAU tent as well as pegging out our required space. And hopefully soon I can post up some pics, either of luke or dan with texta on their face OR pics of the actual show... -D

  22. so you're saying a beat up pos 20 yr old gtr in stock trim and rims would get preference over a gourmet pimped out 33 with chromies and kit? man. some people are picky. i dont understand that. if theyre that anal, I should enter my mums toyota seca. its japanese. its fwd. its stock. its 6 years old. f**k. why not eh?
