  3. Item: R33 GTST S1 Factory ECU Age: 1993 Condition: Good Price: $80 Location: Toowoomba QLD Contact: PM Me Comments: Hi guys, have this left over from car sale, car had 28000 Ks on it. Couple of freebies will come with it. 1) A Walbro GSS 341 which hasn't been used as the tiny peg on the bottom snapped off. Bought for $175 probably an easy fix, couldn't be bothered. 2) AC Control head unit, perfectly functional. Buyer to pay post.
  4. Hey ya'all This is the third installment in the gripping series about my 33 being a slacker. Previous post: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...45#entry3359445 My mods are now... Turbo back 3" X-force exhaust Cooling Pro Type 2 Front Mount - Thermal wrapped piping to manifold Silicone Inlet Pipe Aftermarket actuator set for ~11/12 psi Hitachi H8 chipped ECU. Enlarged snorkel to fit IC piping + Apexi panel filter Front strut brace Tomei Replacement fuel pump S2 AFM After sending Kubota's chip back to him, which was probably actually a great tune I replaced the fuel pump and borrowed a S2 AFM on long term loan from Brett (BAMR33), thanks Brett! I also had a performance shop which will go unnamed adjust the ignition timing back to stock. Today I had the guys at Auto Tech Toowoomba give her a run on the dyno and she made about 181kw, an improvement but still less than I expected. They then checked the ignition timing to discover it was 6 degrees retarded from stock...after the timing was rectified this was the dyno result. So it was either the AFM or the fuel pump as most people had suggested. I'm not sure which one it was as I changed both, but I suspect they were both dodgy. I'm also presenting this as evidence that pre-tuned/chipped ECUs can get results. Although I can only vouch for this Hitachi chipped one I bought from SECURITY, who apparently bought from MANWHORE. Unfortunately I can not suggest where to get the socket modified ECUs, maybe somebody knows. I do have the email address of a Sydney tuner who can pre-tune and send you a H8 chip for $250 if you can get hold of the socket modified ECU, he goes by the name of Kubota. [email protected] His english is a bit difficult to decipher but he's good to deal with. As far as how the car feels to drive now, it seems to pull a bit harder at high revs, but to be honest it still feels slack off the mark, even though the boost peaks at 12psi quickly. Comments are welcome!
  5. Hey guys Here's the story I bought a GSS 342 from slide but it didn't have an attachment kit. So I bought a GSS 341 with an attachment kit. Then the peg that retains the filter snapped off...its tiny and can easily happen. I'm sure you can cable clamp a hose with another filter on and it will be fine. Just to clarify, the only thing wrong with this is a tiny bit of broken plastic shown in the pic, but I don't have the time to go hunting for another filter and try to fit it etc. Bought it for $175 delivered. Someone can get a bargain for $50 + post. Also comes with a proper fitting power plug and wiring not pictured. If I can't sell here its going on ebay so make a move if you want it. PS Please PM me rather than posting.
  6. Hey guys Bought this from Slide for $160 delivered. Unused sell for $110 + $10 to post. I'm selling it because I've bought another pump with an attachment kit. Slide say this will fit all Nissan cradles but you will have to attach if yourself with pipe clamps. Please PM me rather than posting here.
  7. The tuner has suggested I check the NVIS solenoid, he says many S1 33s had an issue there. I've searched the forums, nada. Anyone know what the hell this is?
  8. Thanks for the feedback guys. I forgot to mention, I had the base timing checked and adjusted before the dyno. It was on 20 degrees and the shop adjusted it back to 15 as it should be stock. The tuner actually recommended I do this before using his chip. I was thinking a new fuel pump might be in order. However it seems a lot of other guys have not needed it and I don't have the dosh to throw around right now. I might take you up on a loan of your afm Brett, that would be sweet.
  9. Hey guys This is a follow on from my previous post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hl=dissapointed where I complained about my modded 33 being slack compared to a stock 300zx or soarer. Once again these are my mods: Turbo back 3" X-force exhaust Cooling Pro Type 2 Front Mount Silicone Inlet Pipe Aftermarket actuator set for ~11/12 psi Hitachi H8 chipped ECU. I purchased a custom tuned chip from Kubota, a Sydney based H8 tuner. Enlarged snorkel to fit IC piping + Apexi panel filter Front strut brace Here are the dyno charts. I'm new to this modding game but the boost response looks nice to me. Peak power is dissapointing though, and there's that dip at about 4K. Kubota says the car should make close to 200rwkw, at least 190. From the charts he suspects the air flow meter signal is bad, is there some way to test it? I think I've spent enough money that I should be getting 200kw, suggestions are very welcome.
