  1. I took quite a few pics but haven't had a chance to download them or go through them yet. I'll try to do this tonight and post em up.
  2. hahaa... i know it was we definitely gotta stick at the back in future. whose car was it that overheated? lol i'm not sure my passengers were quite as impressed though... they probably had their eyes closed most of the time & refused to sit in the front seat hahaha..
  3. normally, yes, but we seemed to cause our own traffic jam everywhere we went. In fact I stopped on the side and waited for ashneel for 15 minutes and still managed to catch up in a few minutes
  4. That's right, I had to get the extra solenoid or watever put in when my alarm was fitted.
  5. lol @ so many people reading this thread at this time in the morning
  6. DAMN that looks hot!!! Very nice!
  7. awesome see you and ya mate at stud park bom says late showers on sunday... who knows what time. but remember, we're not going to be in melbourne exactly, past geelong in fact... will have to wait until tomorrow for more details. hopefully will be like scattered showers at worst. i'm still looking forward to this regardless of weather.
  8. I still have a stupid grin on my face every time I drive my car Where abouts you located mate? Vic? 1. Mine is the same 2. I'm pretty sure there's plastic guards in there.. can't remember now I'll have to check it next time 3. Worn bushes? Does it happen on bumpy roads as well? I don't get any vibration when the front wheels "kick in", very nice and smooth. Are all the tyres the same size and width? Any pics of your new ride? Post em up!! Enjoy your new car, take good care of it and it'll take care of you
  9. Car Wash Don't forget to wash your car before the cruise so it's nice and shiny come Sunday morning for the photos Ashneel, myself and a few others are meeting at the carwash on the corner of Heatherton and Springvale roads at around 9pm on Saturday night. Hope to see a few people there. (Link to the original post from a few weeks ago)
  10. Just to let you know, this pre meet will be pretty huge. We're bringing a whole convoy up with us from the SE suburbs. Some are bringing a couple of cars, but these are the names I have so far... ashneel rh1n0 htial jippa3000 black_gtst leighzor philmak ardie Ricey femno + 2 cjpwrx 180sx_luva dilmah (me)
  11. still waiting anxiously :S
  12. bad luck.. hope it all works out well & we'll see you on Sunday. I'm getting my car looked at today to try to fix my boost problem. Driving my mums corolla around... soooo much different around the corners hope it checks out well.
  13. The 300C goes well if you get the one with the big engine, but handles like crap. it's a massive car after all. if it were me, i'd take one of each for a drive
  14. ok, looks like the following people are meeting at The Warehouse in Stud Park Shopping Centre which is on Stud Road at 6.30am for a 7.00am sharp departure. We will then travel (not via city link) as a group to the main official pre-meet at the Kmart in Campbellfield with enough time to have a bit of breakfast & chat with the rest of the guys: ashneel rh1n0 htial jippa3000 black_gtst leighzor philmak ardie Ricey femno cjpwrx 180sx_luva(maybe) dilmah (me) I'll PM everyone in the above list to confirm in the next couple of days with my phone number, etc.. Awesome turn up guys!! Original post by ashneel here (link) Last edited 7/9/07 08:15am
  15. yes they are different. when i bought my car it didn't have an ash tray. when i went to the wreckers to get one had trouble finding one that fit. the S2 ones are slightly smaller or something.. can't remember now. btw, my car is the 33 gtr, but i think the ashtrays for gtrs aren't any different from gtsts
  16. sounds about the same as me then
  17. I'm not so sure about that. My GTR and many of the other ones I test drove before buying my one doesn't get anywhere near half way on the oil temperature gauge under normal driving conditions. Around town, mine is around 80 degrees or so. Hard to tell where that is exactly, but the gauge is still hovering over the numbers "70"... so basically about 1/6th of the way up the gauge from the bottom. Driving on the highway at 110, it tends to go up to 90 degrees or so. still below halfway. Apparently (yet to see this), but on track use, it should get around half way up the gauge or perhaps more (??). When was the last time you changed your oil, oil filter and stuff? What about oil pressure? Should never go below 2 or above 6-7 in my experience... Also, how did you know your coolant was boiling?
  18. does anyone know if the boost solenoid in the gtr is the same as the one in a gtst? How much should i roughly be paying for a stock one from a wreckers, etc.? i didn't get enough time to check it out last weekend, so the plan is to get into it this weekend: hook up another boost gauge, check/replace boost solenoid (with another standard one) check/replace bovs (with stock ones) we'll see how that goes first
  19. awesome man, we'll have our own mini cruise before the main event. should be a blast! I still get a thrill just driving alongside other random skylines on the road.... i'm yet to give anyone a wave though... don't want to look like a knob.. but if they had a SAU sticker I may. anyway, i digress. we'll keep in touch via PM as it gets close to the day.
  20. sounds like there's going to be just as many boats on the road as there will be in the ocean. sorry... couldn't resist
  21. on the other hand, as my car isn't running 100% i may not go. but, please post more details like where you're starting from and where you're planning to go, etc.
  22. maybe if i'm not doing anything else tonight. i've got a dinner on, but depending on when that finishes may be up for a cruise. send me the details. Thanks.
  23. That's good news I'll let you know how it all goes.
  24. sweet!! See ya on the weekend ash. According to the previous owner, the turbos were replaced because the old ones were leaking a little bit of oil so he got them replaced with new stock items. I haven't actually checked them, but he was a pretty genuine guy, and everything else he told me has been true so far, so i have no reason to doubt him. Also, I'm not 100% sure that they're aftermarket bovs yet, only because i haven't been able to get a look at them, but I'll get in there and have a look this weekend. They may just be dirty or the valve/spring thing inside may be weak. I sure hope thats all it is.
  25. lol, why is it that everytime i see this thread i think it says bReastclub I'm sure that'd be just as much fun though.
