  1. I watched the first episode at a mates place, and i'm hooked. I found it funny that the style was so similar to Initial D.. should be a good series, but just hoping we don't have to wait months between episodes. Instead of waiting for someone to upload it to youtube, just download the torrents.
  2. Fathers day is the first Sunday of September according to wikipedia. Either weekend should be fine for me though.
  3. hey all, I picked up my skyline last friday (photos to come later ) and loving it. so you can put both myself and rh1n0 on the for sure list. I'll try and convince ashneel to come along as well... he got his skyline a few weeks back too & he's fixed a few things up. just hope he passes the road worthy this week.
  4. wow! and to think they went from that in '85 to the 32 gt-r we know and love just four years later in '89!
  5. Hey dave, I'd be interested in a few more details as well. Please post up some pictures if you can or PM me. Also I'd like list of modifications (if there's anything more than what you listed above), powerfc, suspension, tyres/rims, etc., what year, body kit, ........... thanks heaps
  6. ^^ lawl
  7. thanks for the drive man!! f&*uking awesome man! makes me wanna get my car even more promise i'll give you a drive when i do
  8. Yeah, I did end up having a look at it, but I haven't done anything definitive yet. The car does look in good nick and well cared for, I'm just in the process of weighing up my options, etc.
  9. fog lamps: always off (especially those annoying rear ones ) driving lights: always on whenever parkers or normal lights on
  10. Don't do it man... who cares about straight line speed... it's all about how much fun you can have on the corners & how fast you get through them. I would never buy a jeep... and I used to work for the company! lol You're better off with a real 4x4 like a land cruiser, or maybe a X5. Unless of course you need to tow stuff or drive through rivers...
  11. Lol, yeah, that'll teach him. I had "just a nudge" as well (in my old car)... $1100 later... brand new bumper lucky the other party was insured. The good thing is it was hardly noticeable, but the paint would've eventually have started flaking away and stuff from the stress of being pushed in. The smallest bump or scratch costs an amazing amount to get fixed sometimes.
  12. Do I have the ability to do that? I had a look around in the options drop-down at the top, but couldn't see any "lock" or "close" option.
  13. 4am?? wtf? and what's with that dodge in the pic? hope the coilpacks you ended up getting are the business lol.
  14. Nice ride. Just stay calm, watch your speed, obey the rules, watch out for one way signs and you'll be fine. Good luck! First time I went for my P's I went down a one way street... second time was perfect except for one wide turn
  15. picsorban only kidding. Your car still drives right? Hurry up and come over and gimme a ride already!!
  16. The white looks fu*king hot, but I choose black because it just looks mean on the street. But *please*, just be sure to take the stickers off the bumper! IMessenger is right though, black tends to have a slightly higher resale value if it's in good nick when you're selling. Sorta the rarity factor like the midnight purple... who knows..
  17. I know what you mean, they had about 3 gtr gearboxes to go into cars last week... lucky i got in the day before
  18. Yeah, ran out of time to call Jack regarding the towing, but racepace told me the same thing... they're moving away from pre-purchase inspections because too many people would make appointments and then not show up, but they did one for me anyway (for another gtr i was interested in a few weeks back). I'd be more than happy to pay 50% upfront or whatever though and the rest on completion, but they always do sound very busy. It sounds like Ben is a one-man show? Anyway, they do a brilliant job. I'll see how I go tomorrow, I'll make a few calls
  19. I don't think RACV do compression tests on a car, even if you get a "comprehensive" check done. On their site, they say that they don't dismantle anything to examine internal parts; they only do visual checks. If you take the car to one of their workshops they put it on a hoist and examine the underbody and take of wheels to check rotor thickness, but that's pretty much the extent of it.
  20. Awesome! Thanks heaps! I'll call them today.
  21. Well then, my next question is if anyone knows of a good towing company that has decent rates to tow about 20km there and 20km back at the end of the day. Better yet, does anyone work for a towing company? Thanks!!
  22. Wow! that's pretty cool, hadn't thought of that! Really sounds like racepace is the best when it comes to this doesn't it? Sure beats RACV going out, that's for sure
  23. Hey guys, I've found a R33 GTR Skyline that I'm interested in and would like some recommendations of workshops in Dandenong that I can get to do a pre-purchase inspection, including compression/leak down and all the other usual stuff. The seller works in Dandenong and can't get to racepace (which i've used before) during working hours cos it's too far... I've got a recommendation from a friend about G & D performance, but they seem to specialise in Ford/Holden. Anyone dealt with them before for their skyline? Thanks, much appreciated.
  24. Thanks for your opinions everyone!!
