  1. Well Im sold will part with the hard earned (once I have it) for this deff. now. Thanks for the info etc Ross
  2. Hi Paul hope your feeling better. Im in no rush just getting some more info on how it was going. Im looking at the EM to start with the the data logger later on. Ill wait till you post up spec's. Cheers Ross PS thanks for the info too Simon.
  3. Digging up an old thread as i would like to know how everything went with the EM Pro II, looking to get one as i hate to have a mulitude of guages. Soooooo... whats the goss?? I assume good. Cheers Ross
  4. For me it's all the non track outings that I keep mine regoed for, taking it somewhere to get tuned/aligned etc, you have to decide if its worth loading it up every time you need to take it somewhere to get work done. As far as I know there are not many, if any track days that require regoed cars. Ross
  5. ok Im adding in on the Patrol, best I have ever towed with. Mate's Patroll has towed countless cars over the last few years with an old (=heavy) trailer. Went to Syd the back way from vic (throught the hills) car drove better with all the gear in it and car on the back than with out it. Only stoped once for fuel (good old sub tanks). I cringe when i see people towing horse's/cars etc with a holden/ford or similar car as it would be on or over its tow limit no matter what the car dealer's say. The Dmax (previous model Radeo) is one to look at for less $$ than a patrol, keeps on winning awards by miles over everything else.
  6. You have read it so now I can use it, so look out when I finally get to the track and you have something I like/need Serriously those trailers were a nice piece of kit, however at the time the were way to $$ compared to what else was available.
  7. I remember these when they were first released, Adam (cant think of his last name) had just got the Ford drift car and one of those trailers. Was a nice piece of gear looked good and easy to get the cars on/off, but that was 5+ years ago now. As for towing they used a landcruiser and said they had no troubles. Sorry no first hand experiance with them myself.
  8. removed mine (32gtst) through the front. From memory it wont go out the engine side as the is a small lip between it and the rad.
  9. No prob any time. Moving back to vic + out of a job since xmass = kit on hold. Still will do it but at this stage dont know when ill be able to get it out. I striped mine and can make further reductions so the estimated weight will be around +/- 5kg. At the moment i am just creating the wiring diagrams in CAD then we will go from there. Cheers
  10. No prob, if you have a vin I have fast so I should be able to get the number if you dont have it at hand. Ross
  11. Yep got a good one. Shoot me the part number (if you have it) and ill chase a price for you.
  12. I paid Ceva (aka TNT) 750 to ship my 32 from perth to melboune (house to depo) at xmas. If you drive it is about 3500k's, 5 days and cost about (depending on your fuel eco) $800-$1000 inc accom, food, fuel etc and it is very boring no matter what car you would be driving.
  13. Are you going alone?? Drive from Perth to Adelaide (or in your case other way) = very boring, if I didnt have someone to talk too I would have gone crazy.
  14. if you open your boot and look at the lock, its to the right hand side, usually green.
  15. From my understanding if you block those off the fluid will not circulate properly and over heat. Fine the thread about removing the unit all together. I did this on my 32 gts-t and replaced the 'cooling' lines with a r33 auto cooler for the track.
  16. Are you located in Vic if so i can help with the looms. Its not that hard just work out which plugs you need, remove the others including wire. Most car companys only use one or two looms for all their cars. I have a manual 32 gtst however the looms will suit a gts/gtr,auto,abs and all other options so there is heaps that can go. I also removed the air con and heater so out went all the wireing and controlls for that. Once i can ill start the replacement looms i was talking about it will make it easy as you can just order it then plug it in. Ross
  17. As stated you're doing pretting good so far. My 32 went on the diet last year removing all that was not used, still have not had a chance to weigh it. There is alot to save in removing/replacing wiring which i was taliking to Dane (phunkymonkey) in this section last year. I removed all the unused wire in my car. From memory the looms (cabin, boot and engine bay but not the engine one yet) went from around 13-14kg to 7 or 8kg total. More can be saved by re-runing it completely with a better quality of wire. Also the looms have extra wire in them such as earths that are from the boot that attach near the fire wall and there is alot of extra length that can be cut out and re-joined. I was planning on making replacement looms this year for all makes, and custom ones out of special light weight wire but has been put on hold due to the current climent. Ross
  18. From what i know they are both internally the same. I looked at putting a set into mine and it all seemed fine.
  19. You would have to re do the mounts thats if it fits. Why the change??
  20. I know that as an "A-arm" or main up right. You can get adj sway bar links but the $$ value vs acutual improvement (from what i have been told) is no worth it.
  21. Thanks for that. I'm at the stage were I have done a bit of work on the old 32 and now its time to spend the money on getting the set up right or do I cut my so far minimal loss' and save the extra for something like what you have. Hmmm the time to decide. Cheers
  22. If you dont mind me asking what are the kits worth or can you post a web site for a look. Cheers
  23. I got an R32, red, striped (no heater, aircon, complete hicas removal, sound deadner etc) just replaced the cradle mount bush's, power sterring cooler, 32 gtr rims with new tyers, batt box (not hooked up yet) paint not in the best condidtion however im looking for more that what you are saying you are willing to pay at the moment. Here is the old thread before i moved for a pic http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...html&hl=r32 Cheers
  24. It's embarrassing to admit but i wear ear plugs when i drive on the dirt road, with out them it kills my ears.
  25. Roy, from memory it was about 13kg in total weight removed when i did mine. I dont have the carpet back in mine, with a cheap brand of tyers on the road its not too bad. Its when you hit a rock or in my case have to travel down 3k of dirt road that its loud.
