R32 Gts-t Braided Brake Lines
Boss-zilla replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Enzed make ADR approved braided lines, get them to make them for you. As for cost i can not remember but i think they were about the same as everyone else at the time. -
Nismo Thermostat For Rb25det Neo
Boss-zilla replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just a little info to add If your car is over heating on the track, put a higher pressure cap on your radiator (remember little steps!) When you increase the pressure on the water mixed with coolant (only works if there is water and coolant) it incresses the boiling point of the fluid. Again only do this in little steps because you can have too much pressure then it all goes bang!!! -
From memory you generaly get $5K more for a v-spec but it all depends on mods and condition etc. This is from what i have seen but anyone is welcome to correct me.

Alot Of Questions Regarding R34
Boss-zilla replied to Fujiwara's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You can still get PFC for the gtt, they are on ebay from a company in melbourne (vermont) called Access Autoworks. -
From my experiance with a r32, r33 and r34 this is about normal. The stock guages are not the best but as long as the light does not come on you should be fine (light uses a different sender)

Mark, Give Kermit a pm he does custome stailess stell exhausets here in perth and will be doing my GTT soon too. Im like you want a good flow exhaust but with minamal sound. I am getting a 3in from turbo through a cat into a centre (oval) muffler then split into 2x 2 and a half in pipes then twin mufflers on the back. This way you get good flow and less noise (small tip on the end = less noise) If you like you can see mine when it done but it wont be for a month or so. RTK

From what i have seen and read the looms are completly different. So no, you will ahve to make your own or get a rb26 one.

Police Operations To Stop Modified Vehicles!
Boss-zilla replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I have had an import for about 4 and a half years now. It is highly modifyed and i have had no trouble with the cops. I have been pulled over lots for random breath tests, driven through boose buses and for the first year or so got pulled over because the cop wanted to have a look at the car (that what they said no lie) and half of this time was while i was on my p's. I have even had one of the police vans pull up along side me, open the sliding door and a cop lean out to see if my car was too loud (thank you for a quite exhaust) Not once have i got a fine for anything, i have vebal had warnings to fix things but thats it and i put this down to me being honest and nice to the police. If you drive like an idiot on the road you are going to get attention, take the car to the track! As for bring up articles that were put out BEFORE you even had an import there is no point bagging the police for doing there job and trying to insite other imort drivers into negative thinking. Sure you will get good ones and bad ones but thats what happens and there must be a reason you are getting attention from them for what ever reason beacuse i can drive my car in any part of town with out a problem (it has a full 3in exhaust). Just dont bring attention on to your self, take it easy when taking off from the lights dont do silly stuff on the street, if you want to race your mates go to a track day were you can have a good day with out having to worry about police. -
Police Operations To Stop Modified Vehicles!
Boss-zilla replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I had a modifyed r32 till a few months ago (r34 now) and it was modifyed. I had no trouble with the police, got pulled over lots of times with out one fine (had the car for 3 years, drove it everyday.) I was nice to them they returned the favour. I will agree some of vics rules are not great but i have moved to WA and see a lot of stupid stuff on the roads more often than in vic and i think this is due to the big fines and strick rules. While the articals at the start of this thread are old (a few years at least) i dont see the point in bringing it up, dont be an idiot on the road and you wont get bent over by the nearest cop. my 2 c -
With any turbo car you need to have installed a electronic cruise control (not the ones that use vacume). These are more in price to buy and install, but anywere that sells cruise control units should be able to get them. As for the buttons on the dash, it may be able to be dont but would cost $$$$ as the switches would have to be custom made.

Headlights Fogging Up! Just Paid For New Ones! Still
Boss-zilla replied to 4drftn's topic in General Maintenance
If your talking about condensation (looks to be fogging up on the inside after rain/wash) like the other guys said, drill a SMALL hole (or several) in the bottom of the lense this will fix it. If the lights are going a yellow colour after a while get some plastic polish or look in the FYI/DYI are, i think there is a write up in there for a once off fix. -
sorry to tell you that you are wrong, but the R34 boost guage is in the triple guage holder. The R34 has speedo, tach, water temp, fuel and oil press in it.
-
In my 32 it looked like a rear main as the oil was dripping from the bottm of the gear box, but it was really running down the side of the motor/box and dripping off the lowest part. I replaced the cam covers and half moons at the back (next to the fire wall) and problem solved.
-
that sounds about right, you should just screw your bolt into them and away you go.
-
FYI: i have made a thread in the Fact section with all the information on colour codes and what each letter stands for in the model code. www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=172720
-
Also give Enzed a go, they make them for you and last time i checked they are ADR approved.

Ok people, after getting my new R34 VIN ‘fasted’ I was unable to find anything about the model break down (what each letter stands for) so I went on a search and combined everything I can find into one spot. First of all I must thank all of the original people who started this info way back in 04, and the subsequent updates till late 05, start 06 (that’s all I could find.) I personally am only responsible for the R34 model break down (the smallest part on this thread ) the rest was taken from old threads (I included the link to the original) that were started by: -Funkymonky -Strutto -Jd-33 If I have missed anyone I am sorry, please let me know and I will update it. Please enjoy I hope it helps, any comments are welcome. If I have missed something or you want to add anything please pm me and ill edit the post. Thanks again to the boys and girls who run the ‘fasted’ thread and all the work put into decoding the information. RTK. Confused! Need Help On Whether To Buy R34 Gtt Or S15
Boss-zilla replied to pablo101's topic in General Automotive Discussion
i had this problem too. s15 or r34 Well for me it was the r34, and after driving alot of both i got an r34 on the weekend. I have found fuel to be good got about 180k out of 1/4 of a tank on the highway. (stock motor with exhaust) the r34 feels great to drive and has the guts to back it up if need be. -
hey boys and girls, im trying to decode my model #, but can not find a thread that has all the options for the r34. I have searched and read most of the decode threads on here but none seem to cover all of the r34 options. any help would be great thanks
-
hey godthrila, i had the same problem with my r32 gtst. that fix you have found is what i did and i had no problem after. If it helps i know a little in this electrical area, pm me and ill give you my number if you get stuck. I also have a r32 english work shop manual with all the wiring diagrams. rtk

the cable may have come off at the bonnet latch. If you look through your grill, using a flat head srew drive you may be able to open it by pushing on the part that the cable is/was connected too. (used this method on other cars just not a r34 so can not say if it will work 100%)

could you please 'fast' this vin er34001333 thanks in advance
