  1. Thanks mate, its been resprayed, was black originally, but it was sprayed in japan, paint quality is better then stock. Well.... was till some scumbag keyed it... got to get the whole side of the car sprayed now....
  2. Mine came in a crazy 4 layer paint that i fell in love with.
  3. I went with an autronic, apparently the first in the country with one fitted as autronic and my tuner both helped eachother to write the software to run the car... more headaches but at least it goes now, and a hell of alot better and more economically then it did before.
  4. Yeah ive used it a few times from said pertrol station and with the same results, i wont use it anymore however as the car has been tuned for 98ron and im now getting around 550km's to a tank all city driving with the new ecu.
  5. Gary, Have you considered the autronic? i cannot fault it, other then the throttle body issue which i will sort by putting a throttle cable into it when i get the chance. The car drives better then standard, its definately the best aftermarket option ive come across and ive played with a few. If i had the money id be putting one on the race car too. That HKS kit looks awesome, i have something to start saving for i think Cheers John
  6. Hey guys, If there are any spare spots i would love to come, fuming i missed the last one, but the car is alive again apart from a few niggly bits. Cheers John
  7. CPV35 350GT VQ35DE 172rwkw's on Matty Spry's new dyno Mods: Extractors, Custom Twin 2 1/2" exhaust with "x" pipe, UR Lightweight underdrive crank pulley, Autronic, 7k redline.
  8. They look awesome! Mine has twin air horns that stuck on the other day in peak hour traffic, quite embarassing, bloody issues! needless to say im not sure if they will ever work again after reafing at whatever i could grab hold of through the bumper to get it to shut up... haha
  9. Thanks mate, Havent been on here much, back studying full time and working full time doesnt amount to much of a social life anymore. But its only for another 2 years and then it will be happy cruising. Saving hard to do a brake upgrade semi slicks and bucket seats. Going to rid it of the back seats and sound deadening and all things heavy, as its only a weekend car im going to have a bit of a ciruit focus, may even stick a roll cage in it depending on how ambitious i get.
  10. Well after 6 long months of trying to fix the shitter it finally goes again. I picked it up last saturday and couldnt be happier. I believe its the first Autronic fitted V35 or 350Z in the country. As autronic and my tuner have been writing the software for it as they went. A huge thanks to Matt Spry for his efforts in making the computer work and tuning the the car faultlessly. It made a 172rwkw and i believe it goes alot better then it used although the last time i drove it was 6 months ago. There are still a few problems, im pretty sure the BCM is stuffed ornot happy with something as it sounds the horn randomly during the day still when parked at work. And the only other thing is that the standard computer is still running the fly by wire throttle, on initial throttle lift off it seems to snap the throttle blade completely shut causing a momentary compression braking effect. We're currently looking into ways around it, but atm im leaning towards a throttle cable and my spare VH45 throttle body. Overall im stoked, i forgot what a pleasure the thing was to drive and am glad that the major problem is at least sorted. At least i have sort of pathed the way for those that may want to fir there cars with autronic ecu's. Apart from the throttle problem you wouldnt know the ecu wasnt factory. Cheers John
  11. The autronic should be here tomorrow.. Going to wire it up so the standard computer still thinks its running the car to keep the BCM happy... Been so busy with work the last few weeks, the riggers managed to damage all 3 CNC's and the manual lathe, idiots ah well. Yeah will probably wire it up next week... Should be good Thanks again for all the help guys.
  12. I have the Autoenginuity Scantool and it is very limited with the V35 as JDM cars do not run the OBD-II interface, they use a different protocol, not even Nissan's Nissan Consult at a service department could talk to the car.
  13. Well after looking at it a bit more the oscilliscope showed the no. 4 injector trigger to be running at less than 2 volts... So i only have 2 options now.. some how try and source a standard computer, god knows how much that will cost or go a full stand alone ecu like the autronic... mmmm
  14. Well i left work early, took it for a drive, Complete miss on No.4 yet its sparking and has fuel... Unless for some odd reason the when the plug is in the head the power from the coil is not conducting through the plug?? i got nothing left, put the oscilloscope on all the sensors and there all reading correctly, there is good compression on that cylinder it has fuel and its wont f**ken run!!! im loosing my mind over this...
  15. Yeah its not as bad as it has been.. infact it pretty much sounds like what your describing.. and considering i havent heard and or driven it for that long, its definately not as pronounced as it was before i got the injectors cleaned but its still throwing the check engine light with a missfore error aswell as an unknown error. im going to take it for a drive tonight. i snuck away at lunch time and changed the sensors with the new ones and its still there. Just picked up a cheapo jaycar oscilloscope so i can now test all the sensors and triggers.. so if driving it doesnt fix at least ill be able to pin point the problem.
  16. Cheers guys. Well my patience is really being tested now... Injectors all clean and nice and still missing on No. 4, it has spark and it has fuel it can only be a timing issue now.. I connected my turbo xs ECU and still the same problem which leads me to believe its sensor issue now. Now these things use 3 sensors a crank angle sensor activated by a plate attached to the ring gear the sensor is mounted in the bellhousing, I have ordered one of these but it most likely wont be here till after christmas, and 2 camshaft phase position sensors, these the worshop manual tells me tells the computer exactly where each piston is in its cycle... I ordered both of these today and they will be here at lunch. If this doesnt work i may set fire to the thing..
  17. Congrats mate, i looked atm for ages, but decided i couldnt afford a house for a few years and went with the v35.
  18. A good mechanic should be able to do a virtually indetectable install, along with a custom stereo will provide and area to hide the bottle... Thats how mine was anyway...
  19. Pulled the injectors out today and took them to a local injector cleaning place. The suspect one was blocked and apparently none of the others were flowing poperly which is a good sign that, that is the only thing left wrong with it atm... will know tomorrow i suppose...
  20. Well, coil packs arrived today, the boots on them were very dodgy so i put all the original ones onto the new coils. Started the car and it was evident it was missing on more then a few cylinders.. wouldnt even rev to start with, checked all the coil packs and all were sparking.. seems the injectors were stuck and all came good when it got up to temperature except No. 4... tried tapping the injector while it was running but to no avail... Wasnt prepared to pull the manifold off tonight will have another look tomorrow, only error code showing up was a miss fire.. funnily enough.. going to do a compression test tomorrow before i pull the manifold off just to rule out the possibility of a broken ring, but i highly doubt that will be that case... At least it runs and my software talks to the car, just frustrated atm was looking foward to driving the bloody thing... Im thinking its just a stuck or blocked injector, well hoping...
  21. It doesnt matter how much the cylinders are sucking, the speed at which it does it makes it almost a constant although resonant flow, if there is more fuel and nitrous near 1 or two cylinders they will get more and therefore you start breaking things. Regards to engine damage, nitrous done properly is safe, like any power adder your making your engine work harder and hence will wear quicker. Nitrous, N2O breaks down in the combustion chamber into oxygen and nitrogen, while the oxygen provides the extra power the Nitrogen is non flamable and acts as a compresible buffer (like a gas shock absorber if you like) making it no where near as bad as some may think. I did almost 50,000k's on my 25DE with a 75hp wet kit trying to kill it and couldnt. The stigma about nitrous originated before wet kits were available and people not adding enough fuel for the amount of nitrous used resulting in lean burns and hence dead engines. Looks great Cara cant wait to see results from the drags. I got almost 14 flats out of mine with a home tuned SAFC and it used to upset a few turbo cars.
  22. Glad to hear your happy with is mate, ive had mine to ~220 driving next to someone on a private road with plenty more to go
  23. Little concerned about the placment of the NOS jet Cara, being in only one side of the two intakes you may not get an even distribution to all cylinders. As a general rule of thumb they should always be at least 6 to 8 inches before the throttle body for an even distribution to all cylinders.
  24. Sorry mate i didnt realise it was a sedan, if they are nething like previous skyline models they should but i dont know for sure. You could try cross refrencing sedan and coupe part no.'s from us website perhaps? Only other thing i would be concerned about is correct spring rates as i would assume the sedan is slightly heavier in the rear end.
