  1. how hard is it to adjust the idle??
  2. your car is in boost at idle?
  3. cheers, just tried reseting the ecu (the only easy one to do), was stoked cause at first it idled fine, then revs dropped a bit and it started to go rough again. Maby i should take it out right now and thrash the tits of it... yeah ill go do that:)
  4. I recently Swapped my K&N Pod filter with a HKS air filter. When i first installed it, everything seemed to be running fine, but a couple of days later the car started to sound really rough at idle. The rev's dont seem to vary much, but the car now shakes a bit at idle and a kind of farting noise comes from the exhaust. I can't really tell if it's RPM 'hunting' or if its some kind of miss.... any ideas???
  5. spend 20 grand on another skyline (R32 or R33), and buy an older model falcon or commodore for five, cause u can get some ok ones for five...
  6. having a boost guage on the A-pillar, it got it on the way to work at 7 in the morning on a saturday. I was playing buy the rules, i think it's very ****ing unreasonable the amount of brain damage ive had to go through to fix this defect. It wasn't just a simple as removing the guage, i had to get a full inspection carried out on the car, which was a huge hassel cause i had to take time off work to get it organised. On top of that, the RTA was absolutly no help whatsoever in giving me advice. Ive been ripped off every step of the way...
  7. another thing you gotta consider is the crap you cop with being a p plater with a skyline... i got defected a while ago in my car (im on my green p's), the whole exercise has ended up costing me a massive amount (probably around $3000!), rego was cancelled and i have to get a blue slip and another full years rego, when i already had six months rego. skylines are a hell of a lot of fun, but theres a downside too... looks like i lernt the hard way... sorry everyone, this is the last skyline/import i will ever buy, way way to many dramas with this car...
  8. definatly wouldnt get a good car for a first car, even if you have the dollars. Most of my mates on their P's have had an accident, most of them, luckily, not major... but if someones egging u on to rip it up outside a party, you will, don't kid yourself, ive seen this sort of thing go horribly wrong.

  11. someone orgainse a group buy (not me), that'll be nice and easy
  12. how come i cant go to a hardware store to get it? going to a depot sounds like a bit of a hassle
  13. dosn't the fuel get cut when you boost past 14 psi? what is .76 bar in psi? how risky is it running that much boost? or what about if you do it just when your have a mix of toluene in your petrol, like what that dude was talking about?
  14. what exatcly is the neo motor? how does it have so much more power than the standard RB25DET? is it just because of variable cam timing or variable valve timing or whatever it is?
  15. so is this tolulene easy to acess? do you need a licence to get it??? what hardware shops supply it? if any...
  16. anyone want to swap a worked R32 GTST, or GTR if your feeling generous, for a lovley r33 with a few mods (not the one pictured)???
  17. two questions???? why would you want to pay $140 bucks to get the odo fixed (unless you were selling it)? how do so many of these guys get away with winding the speedo back???
  18. Sounds like it misfiring - my r33 did it when i first got it, happens to heaps of skylines. check around the forums theres heaps of articles on changing coil packs and plugs etc...
  19. someone buy this car!!!! I saw it yesterday, if i could sell my r33 for the right money, i would snatch it up in a second!
  20. i cant remember the place, it was out at penrith i think. just go in and ask if they'l do it for 40 dollars
  21. dude, 100 bucks is a rip off... think of how much work he has to do... it took my guy about 10 minutes, i was watching him do it, cost $40
  22. my old system used to have a center muffler and a rear muffler, first i took of the center one cause it wasnt loud enough, that made a difference, but not enough for passangers to even notice it... finnally i pulled of the rear muffler and replaced it with a smalish 3 inch cannon muffler, with very little baffling material (whatever its called). Its definatly alot louder, but the problem with skylines (moreso ones with stock turbos), is that they are impossible to make loud, i got the dude at the exhaust shop to start it up with the system off and it still wasn't all that loud... improvment in power is very minimal, maby a couple of kws?, but more than likely, you wont notice it.
  23. maby he ment that you need that piece to install your boost guage???
  24. how much more power would u get out of pulling it out??
  25. 184kws for s15????
