  1. my RB25DET is running like crap!!!!! When it first comes on boost, it goes hard for a bit over a thousand rpm, then power just quickly fades. It's still boosting hard (according to the boost guage at 10psi), but good accelleration is just not there!!!. At high revs the engine is absolutly screaming its tits off, far louder than the noise the exhaust is making (only have 1 rear mufffler). Im getting beaten by soo many cars that i should be able to smoke! Any ideas as to what the problem could be?? please help, this is so frustrating! im considering selling the car with the amount of trouble its given me!
  2. just got a new hi flow 3inch cat installed. For my car, it actually maked a very noticable difference in performance. The car previously seemed choked at high revs, now it revs out a bit smoother and there is definatly more noise from 4000 rpm upwards. Paid $200 for mine fitted if anyones interested.
  3. k, Another question... my r33 gtst has a 3inch cat back, with 1 rear muffler, 3 inch dump, but a 2.5 inch cat converter. I finally got all the misfires fixed in my car and wound the boost up to 10psi. When it comes on boost there, there is a sudden shove in the back of the seat, but about 200 rpm later (yes 200 rmp) power quickly fades to actually feeling a bit gutless. Today i got smoked by my mate in his sr20det 180sx, with only an exhaust. is the problem here the cat converter? Any suggestions?
  4. ive just fitted a bleed valve to my gts25t to wind up to boost to 10 pounds. Someone told me the other day that a bleed valve can be really bad for the motor and eventually blow it up! Is this correct? if so what precautions should i follow? or should i just pull the thing off?
  5. Hi all, About 3 weeks ago i bought a gtst. Since buying it ive added a full 3inch exhaust system a pod filter and a boost controller (currently running 10psi). Does anyone have any idea how much power my car should be producing now? As well, what should i be doing next to make it go hard? Whats a powerFC?
  6. i had new plugs put in with the coil packs, but the problem has stayed. its weird tho, cause if u lay down a small burnout , then do a 0-100 accelleration run, it wont miss.

Hi all, first post. ive got an R33 gtst and it seems to miss under full load from 5 to 6 grand, I had the coil packs repleace ($1400) bucks, but it still does it. ive had a boost controller fitted and a k&n pod filter. Currently running running roughly ten pounds boost. (but i dont have a boost gauge so can't be sure). Also have a 3inch exhaust system, except for the cat which is 2.5' hi flow. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
