Nissan S14/s15 Gear Box
Jimmy Boy replied to daryl the pony's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
well the boxes are vastly different is it a S14 5 speed or a S15 6 speed? -
Stay away from G4, D2 and K Sport they are all the same shit and total garbage. You are better off saving your money longer and getting a better brand like TEIN or GReddy or saving your money period and getting lowered springs and sway bars.

yeah, I must say my initial impressions of the T1R are good, they are impressive thats for sure and I would say their performance is right up there with the Adrenalins. I haven't had the time on the road that I have had with the bridgestones but i would say their performance from what ive experienced to be much of a muchness. For a street car I don't think you will be disapointed with either tyre. While i will post up more when i get some more time with the toyos for now Id advise you take the cheapest one. Ring around and see who can get your the RE001s or the T1Rs the cheapest and take those ones.

Recommended Coilovers For Street Drifting?
Jimmy Boy replied to geraus's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Personally I run GReddy Type S and are very happy with them, although the 8kg and 6kg springs do at times when in traffic feel too hard and the car becomes less enjoyable to drive. Get them on a smooth open road and it is smiles all around. However, my S15 is pretty modded, If you are just going to mod your skyline with mild bolt ons, get somewhere between 250 - 300kw. Drive it mostly on the street with a track day or two through out the year. I HIGHLY recommend TEIN Super Streets. WHY? They are made by an excellent brand - TEIN who only make suspension parts and been in the business for years, 5kg and 4kg springs make for a very comfortable drive around the streets, 16 way damper makes them quite stiff when you want to go for a thrash or have a bit of a drift. And I mean unless you are actually competiting the stiffness is plenty. PRICE - Great value at just under $2000, 2 Year Warrenty, Pillow Ball Tops. For a STREET coil over they really have everything. Their only downside really is they don't go low enough for some people, they go pretty low just not scrub your balls on the road low. I know more than enough people with very fast GTRs running them and not one word of them breaking or having bad performance. so my recommendation for you are TEIN Super Streets *Edit* Just noticed you bought HA, good luck with them. -
Not to bring up a old thread but Im getting some new tyres Friday I will be replacing the fronts with the Toyo T1R which were originally Bridgestone RE001. So I will see how these go on the fronts to compare the two tires. I will be putting my 60% RE001s on the rear and wearing them out over the next 5 - 10 000km then putting some T1Rs on the rear also and will compare the two tires. (although the RE001s are only at 60% im pretty sure Ill get a fair evaluations of what they are like as a rear tyre.)

200sx S15 Bilstein, Whiteline, Eibach & Noltec Suspension
Jimmy Boy replied to Sydneykid's topic in Group Buys
Hey mate just want to get your opinon on sway bar set up I have a 02 Nissan S15 it has GReddy Type S coil overs, Whiteline adjustable sway bars front and rear. Cusco Castor rods front and ISC rear camber and toe arms The car is driven mostly on the road, 99% of the time. however now that she is getting tuned I plan on taking her many of the drift practice nights that are held up here in QLD as well as a hill climb or two. now I dont exactly plan on trying to dominate or really compete I'm just out there for a bit of fun, Assuming I take your advice on the street settings Front Caster = 7 degrees positive (slightly more on the LHS to counter the drift to the gutter) Camber = 1.25 to 1.5 degrees negative Toe = Zero Rear Camber = 0.75 to 1.25 degrees negative Toe = In 2 mm each side I dont want to have to keep taking my car back and forth to Fulcrum getting them to change the set up every time I want to do anything with the car, are the street settings going to be ok for these events? Or is it really a must to get them adjusted when I do these events. Also for a S15 what setting do you recommend the sway bars be set up as? I have the three hole Whiteline blade adjustable items James -
yeah was a corker of an episode but they will be back in the Autumn which is our spring so probably september / october

Want To Sell R34 V-spec2 Nur And Get New Gtr35!
Jimmy Boy replied to mines's topic in General Automotive Discussion
bear in mind also if you get a R35 as a grey import you will find it near impossible to insure before they are released in OZ everything will be in japanese, all the voices will be in Japanese The Sat Nav wont work No warrenty there is no news on when the grey imports will be allowed to be driven on Aust roads Will be limited to 180km/h EVERYWHERE including the race track current estimates that ive read on local cost of the GTR will be ~150k form your local nissan dealer everything will be in english will have a warrenty uncapped speed limit HOWEVER I have herd rumors that Aust will be getting a slightly detuned model, but that is just a rumor Personally id keep the R34 atleast until the JDM R35s have approval to be driven on Aust roads -
it should work fine I dont know why you would buy, the only thing that is different is how you interact with the hookers and apparently one cut scene. Why dont you save your $70 odd and go see a real hooker ppfft giveing a shit about cartoon porn

Jimmy Boy replied to IRISH R's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yup id recommend fulcrum -
there isn't a judge alive I believe that would convict someone of eat driving this would certainly be an ACA story perhaps there is more to it, maybe the cop was following her and wondered why she was all over the road, and not driving in a straight line. then when he realised it some some dumb P plater chick not paying attention and eating he thought it was a good idea to pull her dumb ass over

Correction 'Sustaining' they are currently the biggest (volume) car manufacture in the world - I believe second is GM

Shit I dont know why people bag Fifth gear its a good show, sure it aint no top gear but it certainly is the second best car show on TV anyone ever watched Vroom Vroom on the How To Channel? Tuesday nights - now there is a shit car show not to mention all the other Brit, American and Australian car shows that aren't 1/4 as good as top gear or even fifth gear
-
that f**kin list is wrong, the Ascari A10 did it in 1:10, but controversionally it was taken down because it did not meat the Top Gear requirements of being able to be driven everyday on the road, even though it is entirely street legal. anyway I think it will do ok, like the Z06 it will be a Super Car killer I think it might even beat a standard CCX and make an 8 - 14
-
Yup i'll have one too please please PM me with ordering information
-
Hey guys I have had extensive experience with TEINs before guys. The coil overs come out at 100mm from the ground, so out of the box they are street legal height. You can lower them about 30mm from the factory preset height. Jap spec and Aust spec ARE THE SAME for the most part. At the end of the day they are Super Street coil overs. the Aust spec are just more comfortable due to their customer valving for Aust conditions. And the Aust spec have a 24 month warrenty. If you are interested in SS or Flex PM me and I can see what I can do for you.

Pretty much as the title says I'm looking at upgrading my Suspension on my.... S15 from the TEIN Super Streets to something that perform better. How to they feel om day to day driving? are they too stiff? just right? I was also thinking about HKS Hyper Max II as well.
