  1. hey, has an interesting sound, at least no rasping (well not bad rasping as other N/A engines seem to do) i watched the clip, was NOS used?? got any others? however she coming along nicely! hame
  2. have a look in my topic "green N/A skyline" it's here in the N/A section, i am doing the 5-stud conversion on my fronts. If you can get hold of all the parts for a full conversion (rotors, calipers, hubs etc) then go for the whole conversion with bigger brakes however, if it solely for the purpose of fitting 5-stud rims, you can just use the 5-stud hubs from a r33gtst and you won't actually have to get larger rotors, which leads to the larger calipers etc. just some food for thought! let us know on your intentions further to help you out. hame
  3. i'd say a muffler would help alot in your cases!
  4. wow this thread has gone for a long time which is interesting, i think the air box is good for protecting the intake from sheilding heat from other systems in the engine bya, price? not sure however.
  5. look in the sticky of how to get power out on an N/A there is good info in there, let go of the idea about running an intercooler on a n/a it a good thought but there is better mods out there for you hesh!
  6. yeah it would restrict the flow as the air have further to travel (Depending on intercooler set up) if anything on an N/A possibly heat wrap the induction pipe? stop it heating up from surrounding systems in the engine bay. just my 2 bobs.. hame
  7. how much are they?
  8. ahh well stock, refurbished, modified, its still going be nice to see a r32 GTR is such a condition as yours will be man, did you get my other pm, i have a thread in the N/A section about my r33 and my little projects and builds, looks like it is coming together now for you tho, not long till ya get ya pair of hiar dryers!! hame
  9. sweet write up man, and i do agree this should be in D.I.Y section, the quality of language and pictures is a great help, i want one now!! hame
  10. there will be many people on here that can solve this problem however jsut to get the ball rolling, possibly your AFM (air flow metre) folwing and therefore the ecu is 'retarding' the way it drives. also possibly your spark plugs are old or coils are not up to sctach, that would probably explain the missfire, here is just some ideas...get the plugs changed over, check the terminals on the AFM and make sure coils are all working fine. hame
  11. Hey there guys, been a while since i have posted up updates on the green monster lol as previously dicussed i am doing the brake upgrade on my GTS turbo converted skyline to keep the car firstly, safe and secondly legal (good to see prioities are correct haha). I was going to re-drill the rotors to 4 stud however, i met a really great member on here who has helped me out a lot (thanks ben) i stripped some parts off his front cut and now i have 5-stud hubs n all, so it going to be a bolt on, bolt off affair, or so i think, just remove the old 4-stud + arms etc, remove caliper and bolt on the new 5-stud hubs with arms slip on the new rotors and attach the gts-t NISSAN brake callipers.. i cleaned up the new items today theres a few pics of them in my shed on parts shelf ready to go. i'll just be doing up the calipers ready to go. Oh n the other pic (with dog) is just from earlier this week when drove the car up to hervey bay, just took a pic with the miss's, brother's dog josh! anything i should be looking out for when doing the whole process?? i will need to buy a brake bleed kit, but will i need a spring compressor as well? Hame
  12. Hey mate i got the HSK specific harness ordered in from Auto-Barn, if you need help on installing the timer, please just PM me as i do simple jobs on carz for extra work on the side. Hame :sorcerer: Please feel free to ask any questions you want.
  13. It think this has been covered already in the thread, but a re-chipped/aftermarket ecu would be a safe and good mod for your situation, re-gapping the plugs will not solve your problem. GL with it man, use the advice mentioned above., hame
  14. thanks for everything ben! we will have to catch up in the near future. Was good to talk with you. hame

  15. Wow Daren this is a truly inspirational build, from top to bottom, back-to-front, head-to-toe you have done it all, and keeping mostly the factory items and specs, i think is wonderful as it will be like a brand new r32 gtr (What we all want deep down lol) if i had the room @ home (only have a SLUG) i would love to do something similar to what you are doing, the enjoyment and satisfaction it is going to bring will be mind blowing for you. anyhow after reading the entire thrad i really can't wait to see the next update on pics and more information! you chose the right car for the build, speak soon. Kind regards hame!
  16. wow! old skool! there has to be a rule against this lol
  17. congratulations cara, glad you ae happy with the results, but like a previous post has written how do yuo go about the legalities of having nos?? hame
  18. lol, where are you getting ur clear cover from i interested in one! pm me! hope my tute helped:D
  19. Thanks for the question, yes you have the option of it being a full auto timer, which the unit will set the engine-after idle time to the ECU readings but the other function of the timer is to set your own time (as other timers allow) You splice the black wire from the relay into the Engine ECU ground wire, however when not using the O2 sensor, A/F ratio monitor and automatic after idiling functions, you connect the ground wire connector to the chassis. hope this has cleared up any confusion.. hame
  20. shit ALOT of critism, for a car with hard wk put into it gl dude
  21. OMG u lucky bastard..looks soo good.mind u i;'d love a ride in the top sectret GTR!

  24. looks good it should handle the horsepower you will be after, what sort of computer managment are you doing to look into?? i have not read the entire thread so it may have been mentioned, but wat turbo are you going with as well... will look forward to seeing this project along the way..
  25. yeah to locate the ecu it is ont he passangers side kick pannel right near the door, look under my D.I.Y for installing an apexi auto timer, i show it int here... hope it helps hesh! regards hame
