  1. could be a low reading dyno. how do other cars go on his dyno. my old SR20 180 got 151 RWKW with just catback, filter and 15psi. And i had a 1J with same mods got 180RWKW. (EDIT:Both on Dyno dynamics in shootout mode on dyno days)
  2. safety first, get some spring compressors. if u cant lend any, just buy some from supercheap
  3. Is that RWKW?? Did you have a base figure? Curious as i want to do similar mods on my 33 GTR. Also what dumps and front pipe you running. Cheers Nick
  4. No we didnt reset the ecu. We only turned the car off when we went to the shops, and when we went home it started to boost up to 7mmHG. But i suggest u try resetting ECU.
  5. when we pullled out the restrictor in a friends 33 GTR, @ first it dropped down to stock boost levels (5mmHG), was previously running ~6mmHG. Then turned car off and started again and was running @ 7mmHG. So try disconnecting the battery to reset the ecu. Hope it works out for you.
  6. It costs ~$30-$40 per corner to roll your guards, make sure they use a heat gun so your paint doesnt crack.
  7. Hey guys as per the title, will there be any issues on converting my high beam to HID's on a 33 GTR? Cheers Nick
  8. Look for a W on the Blue Jap ID#. Also as mentioned it has fins in the diff housing, a ALSD light on the tacho, carbon surround on the dials.
  9. Cant be too hard to make, ie with Excel and sending it to your local sticker maker.
  10. Air filters?? are u looking at getting a pod or a panel filter? if u are after a panel filter most autobarn/supercheaps will have them.
  11. Mid to high 11's ~320awkw.
  12. Shannons will generally touch you if u are 24>. Maybe go through a broker, cos with Just Cars they will rape you on excess ($2000-$3000k)
  13. I have a soft spot for Nissan's S series cars. Having previously owned a s13 silvia and 180, both SR20DET's. They are great little cars to drive, great handling and good responsiveness to mods. A swap to a T28 BB from a JDM s15, Eprom,FMIC running 15psi can safely net 190-200RWKW. Thats great in a 1200kg car. Add a Disco potato,PFC and z32 AFM and u got another 40RWKW . Compared to my 33 GTR they are pretty fuel efficient. In terms of practicality the 180 is better with the lift back, and if u wanna do some dori dori, u can fit more tires/equipment in the back. Go a Type X.
  14. This has been posted several times. Following link provides some more info on it. U can plug in a DVD player/TV tuner in it and watch it whilst driving lolz. link for speedo
  15. Also consider the availability of aftermarket turbo kits and ECU's (ie Power FC). Mods for the 33 are more readily available and cheaper than for the 34. NB: PFC are discontinued for RB25's
  16. just unbolt your cat and have check to see if its 3" all the way through. looking @ the pic it does look to be 3"
  17. hey, I ended up going for the just jap highflow cat on my 33 GTR. For the power im chasing ~240-260awkw this cat will suffice. Although too be honest, i didnt feel a noticeable difference between my compliance cat, and the highflow. Side by side, there was a noticeable difference in size and restriction, so im sure it made some difference. Next mod im goin for is front pipes.
  18. check all your vacuum hoses and i/c plumbing. do u run an aftermarket BOV, could be leaking. And also check the gap of your plugs
  19. how is your EBC setup? got a pic or diagram of it? Could also be your spark plugs. How old are they and what gap you running?
  20. try carmate in sydney they can probably supply the fibreglass ones
  21. They are a plate that screw in with allen keys. Did u buy that wing off another guy in Newcastle, cos i think its the one off my friends old GTST. You can probably get them in carbon with no writing, or get them in fibreglass and just fine in the GTR lettering.
  22. well on my 33 GTR, i had to remove the rear parcel shelf to get to the nuts on the towers. the bottom bolt is pretty easy. Think its similar for GTST's
  23. because the rims are wider, the tyres will sit differently, ie the rear profile will be lower than the front. So u may need say a 255/35 @ the front and a 255/40 @ the rear. Speak to a tyre guy about the sizes. But it is not an exact science, so u should run the same width /offset rims front and rear. Buy my old ones Manaray 18x9 +21 for $450 ONO lol
  24. EDIT: Buyer fell through, back up for sale guys. Throw me some offers
  25. Its not recommended to run staggered rims on cars with Attessa (AWD). As they have a different rolling diameter, it would confuse the Attessa system
