  1. here is a diagram u might find useful
  2. the wheel will fit if your 33 is a series 2, cos series 1 wheels have a different airbag module
  3. do a search covered numerous times. its the counter balance weight in your steering wheel which has come loose. if u cant get to it till the weekend and need to use your car just unplug the horns located between your headlights till you get it done. pm me if u cant find the thread
  4. The SR would be your best bet. As it is the newest out of the lot and there are heaps of off the shelf bolt ons available. Have a look on nissansilvia.com If you are on a budget the CA would save you quite a bit and still go hard in such a light car. Hope you are going to upgrade brakes and suspension. How much are you budgeting?
  5. Unlikely that a stroker kit would be a factory option. Post up your vin and get someone to look it up on FAST.Only way to know for sure is to open the engine.
  6. Hey Guys, As per the title, I have a front pair of Cusco Coilovers out of my 33 GTR. They come with the strut tops (not pillow ball) and helper springs. Not entirely sure of spring rates, ride wise I would say they are ~ 25-30% firmer over stock. They are set to the optimum height ~355mm from centre of wheel to guard, and can go heaps lower if u wanna look hektic lol. I now have a full set of Sydneykid Bilsteins and Eibach springs and can honestly say they are similar in ride/handling. PRICE: $315 ONO pickup in Newcastle. Can post at buyers expense. I have previously sent a pair of coilovers via Aust Post to the Mid North Coast which from memory cost only $30. Cheers Nick
  7. 2 methods . Most people take the front prop shaft off, the other which I want to try is disconnecting the air evac plug in the right lower kick panel, turn the car on then depressing the brake pedal 5-10times. I am yet to try this method seems pretty straight forward .
  8. ask on the toymods website.
  9. also check your alignment settings. had that issue with my s13 and got sorted out when they played around with the camber caster etc
  10. Check your vacuum hoses and cooler plumbing for leaks. Are u making any boost?
  11. too lazy to go to the garage to check out my dash lights.but sounds like the cat temp sensor warning light
  12. So are you an American in the armed forces?
  13. take a pic of the pipe that runs underneath the diff.
  14. Yeah the high offset will mean they wont fill the guards. U could run spacers though, but check your insurance policy.
  15. +1 instead of dropping a 2J , get a 1J Manual Soarer they range from 10k and up. Get dumps ,front pipes and a cat back, with a FCD 15psi boost, FMIC and a fuel controller ie SAFC II or AFC Neo and you'll net 230rwkw. Then you can go for steel wheel turbos and ECU for more power. Except they are a heavy car weighing 1600kg+, having owned a few SR20 s13's, a Soarer and a 33 GTR. Handling wise the GTR>s13>Soarer.
  16. Sounds like your throwout bearing. Depends how bad the sound is, my old S13 used to have a noisy bearing but went away when it was warm . Take it to your mechanic, you may as well upgrade your clutch cos you would be looking at the same labour(just read Burning smell. is your clutch slipping)
  17. you're better off spending cash on a din gauge holder from just jap and buying gauges to suit. i haven't seen aftermarket gauges that fit the GTR cluster.
  18. +1 standard shocks were'nt designed for a 50-60mm drop. You will be hitting the bump stops over every bump, and your geometry will be out.
  19. Well I paid $30 posted with a key cut as well. Im sure he will find one at a reasonable price ie maximum of $60
  20. i had to replace mine cos someone decided to snap mine off. Have a look in the For sale thread or ebay for guys wrecking R33's. Would'nt pay more than $30-60
  21. Send a PM to Bakes who has 19"GTC Face 2's on his 34GTR. I remember one guy who ordered a set only to find out they didnt clear his Brembo's cos of the amount of dish he specified.
  22. Yeah you can get ADM Q45's and some also came in under the 15yo rule. Some guy was selling one heaps cheap for like 3-4k on this forum or nissansilvia. Its probably still for sale, needed a bit of work. ie interior trim.
  23. You should contact the Department of Fair trading they have an Automotive division. They will act as a mediator and failing that you can go to the small claims tribunal. I know that when you get a car dynoed you normally have to sign an indemnity form, making them not liable for any engine damage. In your case i assume its different, cos you were simply getting a service done. A blown turbo on a RB26 in some cases could also mean an engine rebuild as the engine may have ingested part of ceramic wheels. Let us know how you go. Good luck
  24. nice projects. as you said perfect the bodywork on the s13 and it will be sweet. You should blend a pair of s13 guards to the s15 guards that way it will line up nicely @ the door . Have you posted the pics on nissansilvia.com??
  25. The the restrictor is located on the solenoid that is attached on the drivers side strut tower. There are two rubber lines. One has a yellow mark , squeeze it to check for the restrictor
