  1. Hey all, not sure if this has been posted before but had to have a go, it's in the Sega game world place upstairs in Dubai Mall, very cool! Not quite the same as the real thing but the car moves around and it's a V-spec II so they've done a good job! :-)
  2. One of the turbos and the dump with the dent. Will separate turbos and dumps for offers.

  4. Thanks, was the -8 bit that confused me.
  5. Hey all, Recently bought a set of R34 GTR N1 turbos, well pretty sure that they are. Part numbers: CD0103J 1441 AA403 707160-8 Can someone please give me any info on them. I was under the impression the 34 N1s were -7s? Cheers, Matt
  6. It sucks, sorry to hear mate. I've been saying for a while now that I will not buy any car made in late 08 or this year as everyone has been cost cutting and it's starting to show.
  7. When I first got my 32 GTR it had a bad misfiree which turned out to be the airflow meters. I took the cover off them and resoldered the 4 little connections and it's been perfect since. Other common misfire cause is the coilpacks arcing due to tiny cracks. Using a silicone type sealant and some electrical tape fixes them.
  8. Hi, I did this mod a few years ago to my 300zx TT and did notice a power increase. On the downside though I believe low rpm/speed driveability suffered a small amount.
  9. Make: GTR Model: R32 1994 Mileage: 70 000 Transmission:5 speed Colour: Maroon Location: Adelaide Currently registered? Yes Price: $25,000 Contact: Matt 0411287718 Modifications: Twin 2.5" dumps into a 3.5" rear Torque split controller Hi, I personally imported this car from Japan at the beginning of last year. I spared no expense and found the best and latest R32 GTR I could. Unfortunately I have to sell her now. She has only 70 000kms and is in great condition. Fitted with AVS 17" rims and 245 Yokohama Advan tyres, the rims have recently been powdercoated. A standard exhaust is included in the sale if desired. This car is very close to stock apart from rims and exhaust. Cheers, Matt

    Hoodies

Right, well thats about it. I'm always away because of work in the defence force and rarely get to read these forums unfortunately. I'm out of here, I've never been part of a club who's members abuse each other like that and I don't intend to be part of it. Grow up.

  13. Hi Mate, Do to the terrible Adelaide roads, not to mention police attention for a stock car which I've never been done for any traffic offence in, I'm probably looking at selling the whole car soon sorry. So just cash for these. Cheers, Matt
  14. Hi all, Have a nice set of these Volk GT-U rims in 17x9 with a +22 offset. They have a great dish which can be seen in the pics. The rims are light gold, they have a small amount of gutter rush (the usual) but look awesome. Come with 245/45R Bridgestone Grid II tyres with approx 40% tread left. Adelaide buyer prefered but will post interstate at buyer's expense if reqd. $850 + pp

    Gtr Timing

Yeah I'm starting to think it's not pinging. Possibly an accessory just making a bit of a rattle. It's definitely not the aircon, water pump or any pulleys relating to the timing belt because they have all been replaced lately. Possible power steering pulley but it doesn't change when turning the wheels. Cheers, Matt ='TheRogue' date='3 Feb 2009, 08:46 PM' post='4405735'] Even with stock ecu still definitely have to check the ignition timing and adjust to 20degrees BTDC. Something is definitely up if a 8.6:1 motor with turbo cams is pinging at light load. Its unlikely it will be an ignition timing issue but rather something else that should be sorted asap. Might not even be pinging.

    Gtr Timing

Hi, not free reving. Should have mentioned it's usually only >3rd gear at low rpm. And by load I mean labouring at lowish rpm. When I imported it I wanted to see what the timing was set at in case it had been screwed with. Yes the ecu controls timing but the CAS must be set correctly and then all tuning done via the ecu. Im still running a stock ecu.
  18. Hi, does anyone in Adelaide have experience with this or a timing gun which they know works properly on the RB26DETT. I keep reading about these "double readings" from cheap guns like the one I have, but I went and tried a very expensive one at a nearby mechanic and it gave the same reading. I get light pinging at load from about 1500-2000rpm at times and that was after I set the timing using a spark plug lead to connect the coil to the no.1 plug. If I use the loop at the back of the engine I get totally different readings ie about 10-15 degrees higher. Any ideas would be great. Cheers, Matt
  19. From my experience in WA, building the Kwinana Motorplex was the best possible thing the Govt could do. Before that there were illegal street drags with 300+ cars turning up to secret meeting places. Im talking about highways being blocked off, it was insane! After it started making the front page of the paper the cops ran legal 1/8 mile drags down the main straight at Barbagallo which helped but it was only when the Motorplex was built that it all stopped. It was great in Perth how the police worked with the govt and punters to help solve the problem, rather than the way it is working in Adelaide at the moment. Out of interest, how typical was it of Transport SA to deny rego to that new fire truck, maybe it didn't have a manual in its glovebox...
