Like pretty much said, unless it's a GTR go for the Z32. I just sold my TT Zed after 6 years, great car. Plenty of power, same weight as a GTR but unfortunately only RWD. With 300hp at the wheels mine found it hard to get the power down. I truly wouldn't be worried about a targa, they are slightly heavier than the non-targas which is extra strengthening in the roof. I never noticed much body flex at all, my car previous to the Zed had heaps. It would even lift up a tyre coming into my driveway sometimes which to me indicates bugger all flex. Yeah they are a prick to work on, but it just involved removing stuff in the way before you got to what you needed! I did all the work on it myself including several plenum pulls and it just took time. Very reliable car, I'd heard horror stories before I bought it but like all performance cars if you don't maintain them they will break. Worst thing that happened to mine was the odd coolant leak which when replaced with silicone hoses isn't an issue. It pays to upgrade the radiator though, there's a lot of engine squeezed into that engine bay. There is a lot of shit unmaintained ones around bought by people who just wanted them for their looks so make sure you do your homework and buy a good one. Cheers, Matt

Cheers! Still in Japan but can't wait to get it! It was a grade 4 so seems ok, the usual scratches etc but apparently a cut and polish should fix it. Didn't mind too much what colour but I would have picked this if I had this choice! It's a 94 model, and yeah the only colour I like with the grey lip was the wine red one so I might paint it. See how it looks first. Is pretty much stock except for a 320k speedo and coilovers. Mags too obviously, 17" Volk GT-U I believe. Last car was a 300zx twin turbo with just under 300kw. Hi, thanks heaps. That's the best auction sheet I've got sorry. Thanks for the info, confirms most of my suspicions! The body is actually quite good apparently, and a cut and polish should fix most of the scratches/fading. Something about the material around the rear side windows peeling slightly which is why it got a C for interior I'm told. Cheers, Matt

Not sure exactly for the GTR but bubbling after the car has been turned off is bad, I suspect it's coming from the overflow container? If you could find out for sure it would help. If so then definite cooling system issues. Cheers, Matt

Ok, yeah seems a bit random what models came with it. I just bought a 94 wine R32 GTR and the whole front bar is wine coloured.

Hi, I've changed two cars over from different states and you don't need a check at all. As long as the car is being registered in the same name as in the previous state you just go into the office and show them id and your previous rego slip. Hand over the old plates and they'll give you new ones. Cheers, Matt

Hi, thanks for doing the hard work...I'd be keen to try it Do you have any idea of a better bluetooth gps to try that doesnt turn itself off after the power loss? Also, what power feed are you giving the gps and mobile? I assume car charger for the phone but the gps says it needs 5V?

Hey Mate, Thanks for the reply. I think it was maybe the oil pump collar where it attaches to the crank? Think early versions were very thin then it was beefed up but not sure when.

Hello, Does anyone have a link which has months and dates where production was changed...ie improvements were made, new models etc. This info was really easy to find for the 300zx but cannot find a skyline version anywhere. Wikipedia is way too broad, eg just saying in 1995 the R33 got the improved ATTESSA etc. Thanks

Hi all, first post on here and looking to import an R32 GTR. Just sold my 300zx TT after 6 years, felt like it was time for a change! Anyway I cannot find a definitive answer on what year they fixed the R32 GTR oil pump issue. So far I've read all the 1993 models, only 1994 and only late 1994. Done heaps of searching but it's confusing me more with various dates. Anyone know for sure? Cheers
