AutoForce was the name of the one at Eight Mile Plains - just down the road from Garden City shopping centre. Like I said its been a while but the head guy there always put well presented cars on the lot and most of them already had the kit/wheels/paint done so you didn't have to worry about it... pay for it tho...

I agree - I was buying a car for wife the other day and just for interest searched R33 skylines (i've owned mine for 5 years now) I could not believe there were R33s on carsales.com and the like for 8 grand! Remember this tho - even if you get a R33 GTSt for around $10 grand - you will be spending another ten grand on wheels/tyres/more boost/body kit etc etc etc ..... the amount of aftermarket stuff you will buy will add up

Its been a while since I was haunting the local import yards but on the south side of Brisabne there used to be a few around the Eight Mile Plains/Underwood area

Thanks all for your replys - I should have also mentioned the car has just been fitted out with a full body kit (and $8k re-spray...) which includes a Trust front bar that required cutting small amount off the reo - I say a small amount because the reo had already been cut by previous owner in Japan. I purchased the car 5 years ago from a Brisbane 'street machines' dealer (Brisbane locals will know who I'm talking about...) and they (or the previous owner) had re-fitted the standard intercooler back on - presumably for compliance, but then how did it get complied with the cut reo if I've just been defected for it... I'll tell ya how - dodgyness. I'm all up for dodgyness in this case and I'm not concerned about the crash damage potential - I just want someone to hook me up with someone who'll give me the required paperwork to get this sorted.

my daily driven 33 series 1 has cat back, pod filter, front mount and is running 14psi and idles at 900 every day... how much did your dyno tune cost? they should've done compression test and requested to change the plugs before they even pulled a power run??

I know this has already been a topic for discussion but I need to know if there is anyone in south east QLD who can hook me up with an engineer who will mod plate my R33's front mount intercooler modification - the chassis rails are NOT cut but the front bumper reinforcement (Reo or crash bar) has been cut to accomodate the intercooler. The officer did not notice the hole cut just under the window washer bottle for the piping - nor did he listen to my story about how I purchased the car 5 years ago with the front mount modifications (but no intercooler) already in place. I know this is going to cost $ but I just need someone who can look over it and certify it. ...surely the front mount in place 'puts back' what ever crash/crumple zone was taken away with the reo mods?????

Hi, I'm new to this - never been on a forum before, don't even have internet at home... I spend all my time and money on CDs and my car. I drive a R33 GTSt that has just been given new clothes (body kit), new shoes (wheels) and a full re-spray. I'm on Gold Coast but don't cruise much because of wankers I have to share the road with. Much rather a quick fang through the hills early in the morning.
