  1. Cheers everyone, Shell, I went through Justcar insurance for a somewhat reasonable figure which almost halved NRMA's quote of 4700 a year. Suppose thats one of the downsides of being 18, although the clean driving record certainly helped. Would love to come to the cruise on Sunday but I have to work on the weekends to pay off the bills and hidden costs that are piling up on me, not to forget that it needs a service straight away for the warranty to not get voided . I noticed a thread on the top about where to service it so i will give it a read and go from there. That was a pretty classy joke Veilside_R33 I actually laughed a bit. Will post a few pictures in the members rides when I figure it all out.
  2. Hey everyone, Have been reading through the forums for a while but just signed up not too long ago and have finally taken the plunge and purchased an R33 today in Sydney through a dealer. I am over the moon and can't wait to see what fun I will have with it. Its a silver (manual) gts-t Series 2 with white slimline NSW registration and gold 18's so if you see me driving around or parked make sure you say g'day. I've got a few questions im eager to ask about what and who you recommend for parts and labour and trying to pass the dreaded roadworthy. I'm keen to get on a cruise in the coming weeks and really get into it if anyone has anything lined up. Right now I think I might take on a few more shifts to cover the obscene insurance bill and unexpected costs. Can certainly say it's a step above the old commodore and a totally new experience. Look forward to meeting you all.
  3. Yeah that was it. Ah well, will give him a call and see what the go is. Cheers for that.
  4. Well thats not a good start.... That's exactly how I copied it off the advertisement. I ran the VIN through the website https://www.checkitout.com.au/index.php and it came up as a 1996 grey sedan which has me a bit worried as the photos are of a coupe. I just tried again but it appears down for maintenance. You think its legitimate or worth the effort? Thanks for the quick reply by the way.
  5. Hi guys, I was hoping someone could help me out by running a check on the following VIN: 6U9000ECR33112147 I'm a fair newby and I'm in the market for my first skyline as I'm fed up with the commodore so anything you could tell me about that VIN would be great. Would especially like to know if it comes up as a sedan or coupe and anything you might find suspicious. Thanks heaps!
