  17. we were already going to the dinner anyway... No idea.... they aren't full sized glasses... but most were also refilled so I would assume an average of 3/4 standard for most of the wines except the dom which was 2 full standards each as once you have opened a bottle like that it has to go
  18. When we did the chef's table at Vue Du Monde for the proposal Started with a belvedere martini as per protocol (and a cocktail for mez) Had a beer or 2 22 courses - all wine matched (inc desert) Champagne course (63 degree duck egg with veal sweatbreads and WA black truffle) match was upped to a '96 Dom Perignon when I popped the Q they gave us a bottle of Ruinart Blanc De Blanc on the house... 1967 comte de lamaestre (armagnac) x 2 for digestive Then we went to the Melbourne Supper Club... for drinks... lol That was back when I was in the game...anything I wanted was a phone call away. Now I have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.

  21. Nothing wrong with a desert wine to accompany a desert. The correct way to have dinner is: While waiting for your table, Belvedere martini (franklin) Upon besing seated and perusing the menu Draft beer or champagne if it's an occasion. Order food and request a wine match for each course. Drink beers in between courses to cleanse your pallate. if desert, desert wine If cheese, choose cheese and request wine match. After desert XO Armagnac as a digestive. Then elsewhere for scotch
