  1. Lol not really, the geography piece is linked to how your finances are geared vs income etc.Although a lot of places in Toorak are not a lot bigger than cupboards, hence it not being the most exxy suburb anymore. I also dont think a PHD in cross stitching is offered.
  2. I made 3. You live in the west. You are proud of this and state it often. You have no higher education. You are proud of this and state it often. I'm not sure if how many hours you work these days but you have previously stated that you work hard / a lot. 2 out of 3 ain't bad unless you have moved and got a degree in the last month
  3. Class is defined by socioeconomic status, which in itself comprises income, education, occupation, geography etc... You live in the west, work full time and have no higher education. Welcome to the middle bitch
  4. My boneitis made me click on the wrong image
  5. I'm taking about refugees in general. Of course they don't have a choice, do you think the preference boats over planes because they like the sea air? No one is suggesting you should feel guilty, just that perhaps you could look at it from their perspective, rather than your priveliged white Australian middle class perspective. They aren't here to steal your job and f**k up your life, they are here because they are desperate to have a better life themselves. If the situation was reversed you'd do the same for your family... any of us would.
  6. I'm not going to say that's not possible but it would be the EXTREME minority
  7. That's every 2 party system world wide unfortunately
  8. Almost all of them? Part of politics in Australia is having policies that are actually good enough to get through, not just coming up with whatever you feel like and complaining when it is blocked.
  9. It's sometimes war, sometimes poverty, sometimes government persucution, sometimes other things, sometimes a combination. You have this rosey view that anyone can be successful if they work for it, but you don't seem to be able to comprehend that some people aren't simply born into luck like you were. No one, puts their kids in a boat if they don't need to. You wouldn't go somewhere else you would be likely to live in poverty, especially given you are going to start again with nothing.
  10. Save $15 on oil, lose $4k on rims tyres
  11. And the in the last few weeks we have really seen the tragic consequences of turning boats around. (europe) You can't say we are saving people by turning their un seaworthy boats back. That's having your cake and eating it too. If it's not safe, turning it back increases the chance of death. How is this complicated?
  12. It was never an "issue" until howard had his lightbulb moment that he could use fear to his advantage, and made up a story about people throwing children overboard. Rudd/Gillard ran with it for their own selifish reasons. Fact is you do not get on a rickety boat, risking your childrens lives to come to a country to hide your money, especially a country where your money is worth less and shit costs more. You don't risk your childrens lives unless you have a VERY f**king good reason. We probably have more scumbags dole budging in Frankston alone than the annual refugee intake under previous governments ffs. You wanna save coin? Start there, not with the people that actually want to work
  13. Was curious is all. For the price (vs other shoes) you'd expect better than a 4 year old's colouring book... Clearly it doesn't bother me enough to stop buying them
  14. Everyone buy motul so scotty get free oil....
  15. Hey Dezz, this was actually a serious question, not a troll.
  16. I would agree if every single interview with him, no matter what the subject, was answered with "the boats have stopped" at some point. Especially when it's not even an issue, it's just politicians preying on the gullibility and naivety of the average Australian by demonising a non threat.
  17. You should get one. Then when I get my Buick Grand National we can roll with my dad when he gets out of prison
  18. Think back to the labor mud slinging mess... then compare No one picked sides publicly until the last few hours. It was short, sharp and brutal.
  19. It's not that different to when Labor did it... the first time... This time however they have put someone in power that may actually win the next fed election, and the backstabbing element was very well managed (this was the one thing they really learned from the ALP abortion) I wouldn't expect much to be different and he will certainly appear more coservative than he has previously, but only minor changes will be required to appear like he is "starting good government" The thing that grabs me is that they now shoukd know what the public want via trial and error and have a chance to change any policies that weren't working and blame the whole mess on TA and JH.
  20. 100% accurateAlthough despite this it really does drive home just how unpopular he really was. I like the people that think gay marriage is happening like next week... sif anything will change on that front. You know WT will make it a condition of any new agreement that nothing happens. There is going to be a lot of butthurt on this issue... pun definitely intended
  21. Accurate lol is accurate
  22. LOL uncle Joe is goooooooooone
