  1. i've got my old one chris, it's silver although i think mine is a GTR colour (as opposed to standard) as the whole car has been resprayed. welcome to come test fit it anytime if you like too
  2. come test fit them if you like they don't have tires on them though pm me and i'll send you some pics when i get home
  3. was going to say i have one but the top layer of chrome is peeling off in parts like yours
  4. just spoke to adam and then to a few mates, from what my mates have said the autech versions (of any car) are bought from nissan by autech and then further changed? i have no idea if this is correct info but if it is true it would explain the rb25 on the original nissan plate?
  5. adam does his user name is chef stagea
  6. fantastic write up, awesome idea for the grease boots too!
  7. adam would be well pissed off for sure :S seems a little suss he's just flying out of the country though :S
  8. they will sit VERY nice, pretty much the same as r34 gtr wheels (give or take a couple of mm's )
  9. missed this post, if you're certain it's not the load on the tow bar then the only option is stiffer spring rates. just make sure that if you upgrade your springs (whether it be aftermarket non adjustable struts or coilovers) that you also take into consideration upgrading your damper rates to match them
  10. should also add this could be due to the relationship between your tow ball and the trailer hitch bit ie one higher/lower than the other
  11. that was my thoughts, too much load is on your towball by the looks. the only problem i see with putting the car on the trailer backwards is possibly putting too much weight BEHIND the axles in turn making the trailer very uncomfortable to tow. i've seen 2 accidents caused by this - one had the car on the trailer backwards and the other had the car too far to the rear of the trailer. ideally weight should be forward of the axles but definitely looks like you've got alot of weight being transferred to the tow car.
  12. it's the white one on carsales pretty easy to work out which one
  13. ^^^ there is always 2 sides to the story though, so whats not to say he wasn't being a *richard cranium* before he got pulled over to make the pipe come off and they'd heard him. only the original poster knows this. i thought they were required to give you badge number and station when requested?
  14. yep. mine's not an autech but has 33gtr brembos all round, my space saver won't clear my front calipers lol
  15. just browsing another forum and stumbled across THIS *edit* might just quickly add, only linking it as i'm interested to know where lines etc are drawn in regards to the issues posted there
  16. did you dream your flats were front or rear? cos your standard space saver won't clear the brembos up front
  17. i think there is a place in qld that already has molds for the kit?
  18. i drove mine back with the girlfriend from qld, somehow managed to work out perfect that everytime we needed fuel we came across a servo. just lucky i spose. the drive was easy and comfortable, just watch out for wildlife dependant on the way you go and the times that you are driving
  19. really i'm just after everyones thoughts here.. i've got myself a new wing, i'm trying to decide whether it's a keeper or not - the other half says no but i kinda like it *nb* not colour matched at the moment (it's in pearl white so if anyone with a white stag wants to make an offer ) i'll also use this thread to gauge some interest, i've bought myself a rear filler panel for c34 tailgates. now in hindsight i probably paid WAY too much for it but it's rare as hens teeth (i'm assuming alot of you wouldn't have seen one?) and it's made by dolphin (aparently), however, their site doesn't have it listed (came in dolphin packaging though). if people like what they see, register some interest and i might see if i can't get a mate to make some copies if - as for price, i've no idea lol please also note it's not actually fitted, just sitting there
  20. on the topic of defects, regency is still struggling to cope with the sheer number of defected cars being sent through. they were open on a few saturdays towards the end of last year as they couldn't cope with the normal 5 day week. i believe this in itslef suggests that perhaps the option of 'major defect' is too commonly abused on trivial suspicion. i think i remember reading somewhere recently about workshops being given the option to pay a sum of money in order inspect defected vehicles and clear them like interstate. i believe it was around the 10k mark for a license to do so but with the rate and number of cars being defected i'm sure it would pay itself back in no time with inspection fees sorry to throw the topic off track slightly, feel free to remove it if it sidetracks the thread too much
  21. i agree with the point of cruises being the last place that 'hooning' will occur, there is much greater risk of harm by those that drive 'spiritedly' in the hills or industrials. i don't agree with the point of people saying they get picked on for driving stock looking vehicles - more often than not they (stock cars) are either younger/inexperienced drivers that drive like stains and could only afford a stock car.. the ones that throw their cars around corners in peak hour etc or they are the older drivers that don't want the attention of a prettied up car because of what they are packing under the bonnet. police know the theory behind sleepers so they'll also pull over an outwardly standard car even if you drive like a granny. i, for one, drive a 'prettied up' car. it's standard engine wise but looks good - what i like in a daily - but it's annoying to be put in the same category as the twats that are a menace on public roads. this is something i have to deal with, it's part of driving the cars we do
  22. it's only carpet, if the rest of the car is worth the price then jump on it. carpet is an easy fix
  23. bought this before i bought my stag, intended to hook it up to the xanavi screens in stageas.. which mine doesn't have lol it's been used also it's a JVC KD-AVX1, has it's own 3" screen or you can hook it up to exterior screens like the factory one want $250ono, alternatively i don't mind keeping it as i'm debating running it so i can fit a reverse camera * DVD/CD receiver with built-in amplifier (20 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels) * 3" TFT LCD monitor built into the motorised, fold-down faceplate * On-screen display of JPEG images * Plays DVDs, DVD-Rs, DVD-RWs, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, Video CDs, and MP3/WMA discs * Giga MP3 capability — will play up to 100 hours of MP3/WMA files burned onto a single recordable DVD * System control via front-panel control keys and menu system * 7-band iEQ * CD changer controls * Audio/video input * Backup camera input * Audio/video output<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< * Dual-zone mode * 5-volt front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs * Wireless remote * DVD frequency response: 16-22,000 Hz * DVD signal-to-noise ratio: 95 dB * FM sensitivity: 11.3 dBf can get actual pics on request
  24. just find someone with a wreck and buy theirs nissan will be expensive for genuine the other option is an auto retrimmer, most of them make custom carpets and aren't too badly priced
