Just get a michotech x6. $200 delivered. Take you about an hour with a soldering iron and some heat shrink.

Hi guys my rb20 has just started to backfire and die when it gets hot. it runs fine for a while at running temp but after probably 30 mins it pops, backfires and dies. i can restart it a couple of times, it will run for a few seconds then the same thing, then it wont start at all until it cools down (30mins). Its running motec and no afm. Had the car for more than 5 years, never had this problem. Have just replaced the igniter with a motech x6 to rule that out. Im thinking possibly cas next? Seems like it must be something temperature sensitive...

well as instructed, i bled the master cylinder, and then bled the slave, and believe it or not, it works.

The bearing is the smaller diameter one, as supplied with the kit. I have bleed the slave well but not the master. have not adjusted the master at all. The fluid was all drained out. What adjustment needs to be done at the pedal? The slave is fine, its been in use for maybe 2 months before the clutch was changed.

So i have just put a osg twin plate in my rb20 coupe and after bleeding it it seems like the slave cylinder piston needs to come out another 10mm to push on the fork because at the moment its not returning the pedal at all and when the pedal is at the floor, the slave cylinder piston in just in contact with the fork. If i jam a spacer eg screwdriver between the fork and the slave then i get some travel in the fork. The slave is brand new, and i used what i think is the correct throw out bearing. I have not made any adjustment to the master cylinder, however prior to changing the clutch it seemed to be working fine. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers, Antz

hey mate thanks for the offer, but i have to do it at home, when i put on the 5 stud front hubs it wont be driving anywhere until i get a full set of wheels. hope that makes sense. But offer is much appreciated. Maybe we can organize something in the new year to test fit them, but it would need to be at my place thats all. Cheers Antz

that would be ideal, but getting my hands on any gtr wheels to test fit is rather difficult.

If I know I can get some wheels to check i'll throw the hubs on the front to check. Wanna sell the wheels?

nah, but i have all the gear to do it. i dont really want to do the conversion until i have some wheels lined up to trial fit. otherwise i cant move my car around

Im thinking about putting either r33 or r34 gtr wheels on my r31, but i really want to check that they dont rub on my struts at the front before i shell out and so i wondering if anyone would be kind enough to lend me one or pref a pair, even pair of 32gtr would be fine. In fact anything that is the same offset would be just fine. We can come to some sort of remuneration agreement if need be! Antz

i have an m48 in my hr31. Its a great piece of gear. It is a little frustrating that an ecu that expensive has everything as an optional extra. I also have a tech edge lambda plugged into mine as its far cheaper than buying the motec wideband sensor and i get a digital readout in realtime. They do now offer some plug in options i think for wrx and evo but that's the extent of it to my knowledge. antz

there are three midnight purple paints, lp2 is the color of my r31, the first of the midnight purple colors. 2 and 3 are expensive because the have an absolute shitload of chameleon in them. lp2 is not expensive paint.
