Hey dudes I read most of these stories people posted. We all seem to hve the answers (seriously no joke). We need to: 1) get a 24 hr race track/ skid pan thingy where people can sign a waiver and then go nuts. 2) drive more responsibly on the streets. 3) film ACA and TT news trucks when they are quickly driving to cover some exciting story. I have not seen them speeding but how do they get to a house before it burns down?(for example). Bit suss, anyway. I'm tired of being labelled a hoon, as soon as i tell people what car i drive they give me all this blah blah blah. Hello Everyone Thought i'd share my work with everyone. I made an air box for my Apexi pod. I went to Bunnings got 0.5 mm aluminium, tin snips, hole saw, drill, G-clamp, hacksaw and a couple of other bits. I more ar less followed a tutorial from lingeringsoul. Thank you lingeringsoul!! I got a piece of cardboard, made a template. I then tried fitting my cars bits to the template. After a bit of modifying.......tadaaaa! I placed template on aluminium, cut it out, rounded the edges and fitted it. I also made two brackets out of aluminium bar 20mm wide by 5mm thick. One for securing pod to car body the other to hold air box. Happy times. Updated with Insulation as per Recommendation, went to clarks rubber. Apparently it's used for firewall in engine bay ( was told by shop manager). $23 per metre. Should be heaps better now. Thanks for the hot tip GTST!

Hey man 300kw nothing special? I just started out and had my first dyno ever yesterday. Got 122kw atw for an auto R33. If i had 220kw atw i would be giggling daily. Congratulations mate, glad you achieved your goal. Must be happy times round your place.

Hey dude Yeah, Richard showed me the graph where after 3500 rpm my ecu shuts down a sensor and then basically just burns fuel coz it believes it's 4th of july and my name becomes Johny Dollar. So the Haltech was recommended to overide this problem and continue building power. Car will then be more economical with all the benefits of boost control blah blah blah. Also that was my first Dyno ever and i mean ever. Oh how i loved it. Expensive tho, i see how it can become addictive.

Hey Everyone I just got back from Allstar tuning this afternoon. Went in at 08h30, got a Dyno tune, and new castor bushes fitted. Finished by 12h00. I had no drama, Richard and staff were friendly and helpful. They gave me plenty of good advice. My car feels better now, pricing was standard, although i did get a discount for being a member. My car is a R33 auto, fairly standard. Only mods are a Apexi pod, Fmic and 17 inch wheels. Power on my car is not fantastic but good for near stock, 122kw atw. They recommended a haltech computer for around $3000 fitted and all the rest. I don't have such extravagant wealth. I will say though, my overall experience was a good one. They let me wait around and chat to them about all sorts of crap. I am happy with them.

Thanks for quick response guys. It (immobiliser) is aself arming BITCH of a thing, good for thieves, bad for working on electronics. Anyroad, should be ok, i'll try the above suggestions. I'm planning a few maintanence projects soon. Thanks again.

Hi everyone Can someone please tell me how to reset my ecu? I have an immobiliser and everytime i disconnect the battery the alarm screams. Then i re-connect the battery and silence. Ive been told to leave battery disconnected overnight. Please help!

Dude, you should complain about that to his station commander or some sht. They have a code of conduct they have to abide by, it's all legislation and crap. By what you describe, my opinion is he saw you as a soft target being a p-plater. What a knob, anyway the world needs knobs, they make us regular guys look good!

Ok Just watched Clarkson's review of the R32 GTR. I apologise, he loved it. I am once again a fan of the Jeremy. Hope we see the new GTR on Top Gear soon. Yeah man, i think ozzie cars are awesome, and i really want to let people keep their jobs. I do enjoy the V8 racing it has a good history and alot of ozzie pride associated. Just think we should see more manufacturers competing. I'd love to see other companies having a go. Would make racing more enjoyable for me.
