Howdy So i was sitting on the crapper reading hot 4's when i found this. I thought, mmmmm, maybe this could help you. Apparently these gaskets can cause the sound you hear, maybe check it out. Sorry, this machine refuses to upload the article. Basically, the metal gasket between turbo and exhaust sometimes breaks up or disintegrates coz of agel. It then makes funny sounds at the turbo, like gas escaping at high pressure, or gentle knocking sound. Check yours out, may help you. I am now going to upload my fist into the computers A-drive and see how it likes it! Good day to you.

Aaah, i got to this thread too late! I had mine fitted all up at Autobarn for around $300. I'ts not a fancy system, but it does the job and is Insurance approved. I don't know if they still sell the same system i got but it's worth a try. ( capalaba) Talk to Richard. Or go to Strathfield in Capalaba they usually do the work quckly.

It is sad, i often think what it would be like if i sold my Skyline. I would struggle to do it. I guess it's the first car i have really grown attached to. I love my car. Good luck with the sale mate. Then there is a saying "nothing gets you over the last one like the next one".

I meant R34 GTR younger. By age too 2001 R34 GTR will not fall apart as much as 1995 R33 GTR. Logic, and the law of common sense. Happy times.

I found this thread by accident. What a hoot! King cordia WTF? Ok, so he announces on the net that his cordia is better than most Skylines with such great music and spelling. I agree with most people on this thread, he's either going to go postal very soon ( lucky he's in Sydney and not here ) or someones going to make him one with his cordia! That's why i want to get my GTR in no more than 2 years. So i can still afford to fang it around a bit. I realize the future of petrol looks bleak. Get what you can while you can.

I got a R33 gtst. I want to own a GTR before petrol gets to $3 a litre. Besides Gtr's are coming down in price quickly. I reckon in 2 years i'll buy a R33 GTR, stock and keep it that way. Maybe R34 GTR if i get lucky.

I got Firestone Firehawk wide ovals from Bob Jane the other day. 235/45 R17 $189 each. Very nice tyre, had Bridgestone potenza before. Bridgestones gripped well but noisy and very hard. Firestones grip well, feel light on the road , very responsive and soft quiet ride. $100 cheaper than Bridgestones each!
