  1. If u cant afford full comp insurance, then dont drive a nice car, or hit mine for that matter.
  2. heres an idea....ring shuan and ask him? edit/ u should get around 10L/100km
  3. In your case, u can live with sqealing brakes. In my world, no one has to live with a shitty job done wrong.
  4. No i said depending on what u do with your pad if u install and run em in right then no pad will squeal. I dont know where u went off at right angles....
  5. ever seen an raa guy break into a skyline?
  6. as i said, if brake pads are installed and run in properly they WONT <----read WONT- sqeal. It can stop completely. I dont quote manufacturers, i just install pads -bendix, etc. u name it- properly and it has never failed.
  7. not unless u plan on routing all the ignition barrel + associated wiring in a hardened steel tube
  8. I think u should quit with the "Pads squeal". If everything has been installed correctly, and has been done according to how it should be then pads wont squeal. FYI, nissan include copper grease a part of the shim kit. I used it and have never had any squeal or noise from the rb74's i have in their now. These are a slightly more expensive pad than bendix crap too, and i only use em on the street. Ive had my callipers rebuilt, the new rotors machined, new pads installed, new shim kit and everything is quiet. Do a have arse job and just slap in new pads, then dont do the "bedding in" period (Yes this means matching the surface of the pad to the rotor, or removing any compound from the pads manufacture) and u will have problems.
  9. Er....Sapol arnt there to keep a lookout for every car on the road every second...All they can do is keep a lookout for if one of them sees it out. I wish people would stop police bashing. "ZOMG my ricerz been defectzored!!!11!!!" Who u gunna ring when u need help? Ghostbusters? Yes lets all post up on the interweb about how to steal a skyline U cant stop anyone breaking into a car. All u can do is not leave shit in eyes view (gauges, controllers) and make it harder for them (hidden alarms, 2 manual cutoff switches) to increase the time they have to fark with it. If u have full comp insurance, sit back and dont worry.
  10. yer r34 is the same as r32. Id doubt an r34 gtr frame would fit
  11. Noise only usually gets worse unless u change your driving habits (like take it out to the track)
  12. Doesnt matter what pads u run they should never squeal or or screech. I suggest taking out the pads and cleaning out the calipers, making sure the pads are wearing even (uneven means a stuck or faulty caliper piston) then scuff the pads a little (with some sand paper) reinstall them with shims, and copper grease and then bed them in as per all pads need to be done. Do this and u will never have noisy brakes.
  13. Its actually easy to pop out each shock (3 bolts) to do it out of the car. Much easier i found as i took the top of the shock off, then removed the spring. Only used the spring compressors to get the top off.
  14. I think Cubes and i had my rb25 box out and in my r32 in about 2-2.5 hrs worth of work. Just us, on our backs using ramps and axle stands + the method he mentioned. We could probably do it in less time now though because i have just got an air compressor
  15. Things also to remember The 4wd has a different design of the left front chassis rail to allow room for the drive line to the front wheel. There is also a hump on the gearbox tunnel on the drivers side to have enough room for the transfer case. U need to mod the actual chassis / body of the car to make it fit, not just slap in crossmembers.
  16. exqueeze me? How can a twin with near std pedal feel be not user friendly? Id say twins are tried and tested...
  17. os giken twin rebuilt ftw may sound stupid but why skimp now?
  18. Be aware that that thread talks about using stock rb26 cams in an rb20 engine which no one has proven it to work. Reground rb26 cams (to suit a hydraulic lifter application) has been proven to work.
  19. lol...mustve been one of the ppl coming out of the dole office opposite the motor reg
  20. ttp is known as one if not the biggest hot spot for car thieves....why even bother taking a 33 gtr to park there?? I know u shouldnt have to worry about shit like that, but dont bother parking anything expensive there!!
  21. BAH! go for gold son, i wanna see gold plated block with titanium springs....nothing spared
  22. Old cop on a bike pulled up next to me on the way home from work once at 11pm and said "If i hadnt just worked an 11 hour shift i would defect you for a bov. The light then turned green and he pulled from my drivers side in a right hand turning lane at the lights off into my lane through the intersection and took off up the road. Note my car has always had the std item fitted. Ignorance plays a big part in what they do these days. Unsafe to them could mean anything from rustbuckets to overpowered cars with streetboy racers as drivers. Going by the amount of ppl on here who tell of mishaps because they were (*insert random crash story here) i cant blame them.
  23. I thought Matt was paying rent now down at boostworx At least its a short trip when he decides to do something to the car and wants a dyno
  24. Think ive come across on here somewhere that nismo bearings are rebranded Nissan ones. King bearings ftw.
