  6. Nah, im saying when I bought the car the owner had the std. bov fitted due to being defected. The car felt really restricted above 5k. I fitted the hks sequential that the owner gave me, reset the comp, the "viola", dont ask me why, it revved so smooth to 6500 -7000 rpm. Im not saying this is a solution, or starting an argument, I'm saying this is what happened on MY car.
  7. I fitted a bov, and it revs smooth over 5k.
  8. I got mine from Jap Dismantlers - www.adelaidejap.com.au It came with plenum, fuel rail, injectors etc, for $750. They had 3 or 4 there when I went.
  9. Got any pics? I'm interested, how long is it availabe for, coz I'm slapping in a new engine, so might want one in a month or two.
  10. get a better engine package rb30/25
  11. Yeah, but replace the idler bearings, tensioner and bolts, just to be safe. (with torque measurements)
  12. I'm taking out the gearbox of me r32, and just wondering if anybody knows the easiest way to remove the top bellhousing bolts. OMFG they are hard to get at. How many bolts are there total in the bellhousing? By the way, whats the deal with the two piece tail shaft? I've never seen this setup b4. How strong is it? thanx
  13. SCWEEET!
  14. not sure exactly, but I was after an r33 head. The guy at the wreckers told me a std head was AUD$750, compared to AUD$3000 for a Neo version.
  15. Go for it. I believe its an engineered version of the std. rb25det. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
  16. Go to any fiberglass place. Tell em what you want done.My car is sitting lower now than in the pic of me avatar, and i've never had a problem with it.
  17. Dude who owned my car last had the front bumper reinforced with fiberglass along the inner edge at the bottom at the front. Mine scrapes on my drive if I dont take it at a sharp angle. With the reinforcing, I have belted a man hole cover that was sitting up and it saved the front bar from being completely ripped off.
  18. Sand it down till u get to the original paint like B1 said. Then use a body filler to take out any dings. Sand down till car is smooth, no scratches. Make sure you use sandpaper that is meant for the job.
  19. No, just keep using finer garades of sand paper till you cant see or feel any defects.
  20. the spray guy is taking about a properly done job. It depends on what sort of result your after. The guy that did mine, (for the previous owner), only went down under the clear and pearl. Now in the sun you can see where the preparation was bodgy i.e. scratch marks in the filler/primer. Remember, if it looks half decent in just primer, it'll look like shit when its painted. It needs to be 100% effort in preparation to look 100% when its painted.
  21. got any ideas on how many cars wil be entering?
  22. try this , or dowload the full manual at www.rb20det.com look for rb20.zip
