  1. If the guys installing them cant tell which is which, then id take the head elsewhere. FWIW they are the same part, its just more economical to buy the VRS kit and use the ones from that. ($200 for the seals vs $200 for the whole kit)
  2. drivers door, and drivers quarter panel avail? If so, condition, color and price? cheers.
  3. your pm box is full. Will you separate the struts and springs? I only need the stock sus for a defect removal. Let me know how much if so. cheers.
  4. how old are the rubbers in the subframe. First thing cubes and i noticed was the thing wanting to twist out of the car. edit/ welcome to the world of "lets now replace everything that was partially gone to cope with the new power"
  5. dont think so. Anything fuel related gets checked as it changes emissions, and seeing that would make them put down an emissions test required just to screw you over even more.
  6. yes, i was referring to oil pump. A fuel pump isnt an upgrade in a skyline these days, as every car would of had it replaced. Im not referring fresh vs old motor, more why one would build a big budget built motor running around on the street. Go nuts, always interested to see results.
  7. Im going to have to ask, but why the big budget build when it will be on the street 99% of the time? Just curious as to why people fit high flow pumps, cams / springs etc then it sits at 60Km/h for the majority of its life. Sky30 threw a stock 3lt bottom end in years ago and it ran well over 300 rwkw for a long long time....on a safe tune. Never popped a rod or blew if memory serves me right.
  8. 1. Setup a dummy car with ppl watching. 2. Wait for dumb crooks to come attempt to steal it 3. Teach em a lesson the cops wont.
  9. sometimes the simplest fix is to get another set of eyes to look at the problem. Ive had problems that I was pulling my hair out trying to solve, when someone walks past and notices something that was staring me in the face....
  10. Does anyone know who to speak to about getting stuff from Japan, which aren't car parts? After some items from Yamaha, and the only contact I have atm is in the UK. No one from yamaha AU seems to want to help / nor care to get a part for me (been told its discontinued, which it isnt)....Id like to avoid going through the UK to buy something from Japan if its possible someone has contacts... cheers.
  11. the only tuning issue is with the std ecu (rechipped) that doesnt handle the idle too well. PowerFC handled them no worries with my 3lt, giving 10L/100kms average. Im not sure what they would do with a nistune though, might be best to speak to the tuner.
  12. There was a good post ages ago by SK back a few years that explained the point of having the 32 sit at the legal height. Regardless of looks, the 32s suspension doesnt work the way it should with excessive wear on bushes (more so than even the std height wear). Given the roads in 99% of au are not the best (unless we live in canberra ) i dont know why someone would want suspension that would give a rough as guts ride, as well as f**k out your bushes so damn fast, other than "it looks fully sick bro"
  13. might want to check the date of the thread... and OP is "Last Active: Sep 26 2008 10:17 AM"
  14. After the following, must be in good condition. I dont want offers of scratched up, banged up stuff thats been sitting in your shed and you feel like getting rid of it finally, nor do I want to buy parts that are in excellent condition only to be told its worth $1K because you feel like selling it.... With that said, im after the following parts for an r32 2 door (or 4 door where suitable): 1 x drivers quarter panel in Black. NO dings, bumps or rust. 1 x drivers coupe door. Same deal, they are not worth 1k, so dont ask. 1 set x standard height suspension. Can be with or without springs, NOT leaking. Only needed for one pass through regency. Have cash waiting for the right part / price. Im not looking to lowball either, just pay what a part is worth. PM me here for quickest response.
  15. its should be easy to get done here in SA or anywhere as the r32 was released with a 2.5Lt motor. The inspection is to check that its done right, using the 2.5lt brake setup etc.
  16. They wont, car theft isnt a priority. News had a list of the crime spree on atm, and car theft wasnt even on the list.
  17. I volunteer for the SA section: 1. Do conversion 2. Get pulled over.
  18. Seen it done ages ago, i think they used acid etching. Similar to how they recover serial numbers that have been ground off guns. The stamped area of the metal is denser and the acid eats away the less dense metal and reveals the serial number.
  19. If the builder set the timing and had issues to start with, then re-did the timing already when you swapped the cams over, then 3rd time might not make a difference. Sounds like hes learning and your paying for it. Im a broken record, but take the car back already No one would blame you if you did and went got it sorted by Shaun who has worked with Cubes and I when we were building these things in '04. /ill stop pointing fingers now lol
  20. twin system ftw. Ask cubes how quiet a twin is
  21. says u cant receive new messages via pm, your inbox may be full. Pm me about the suspension and we can talk. cheers.
  22. all clutch and brake 3 Pinn St, St Marys SA 5042, Australia Phone number(08) 8277 8122
  23. I bought one for my rb20det locally at auto parts store. Didnt cost that much from memory, like $100? It is the same as one off a local delivered car, like the maxima or vl one or something as well...
  24. prefer to find a set first, if someone has one.
  25. looking for some standard height suspension for an r32 gtst. I need regency approved ones, so no adjustable coilovers plz. I have a set of front springs here, so will consider a set without springs. Need em without leaks also. pm me here, cheers.
