  1. isnt it better to run each on a separate ide port, not master/slave on the 1 ide slot? Any difference to read write times when copying / writing from a disc to another?
  2. I used all 3 for ages, and think they are great as they are free to use and catch 99% of stuff. Currently though ive switched to Bitdefender as i thought avg was letting something through... Bitdefender was my choice amongst the highest rated ones as it has the option to scan fast like AVG, or do a full or deep scan like Kaspersky, NOD32 etc... It also has an included firewall, spyware and malware package in the 1 program. Saves me updating the 3 programs u listed, then scanning each. **************** ATM i cant be farked figuring out why vista wont run on my pc. Memtest has no errors, and nothing is oc'd. I think it must be the way ive got my hdd and dvds setup... DVDr is pri ide drive DVDrom is the Pri. ide secondary Raptor (boot drive) is in sata2 -port 1 Seagate (storage) is in the sata2 - port 1 I think vista cracks a shit if it aint on an ide slot....need to keep researching.... for now im having fun, as ive got Ubuntu dual booting with XP. Planning on seeing how Beryl goes, and what else i can get going on linux...
  3. heres mine : DEFECTED STOCK how ya like them apples....
  4. flowers are for noobs...only works once a year if that... do something origional... ...if i told yer what im doing it wouldnt be origional.
  5. have u got the GB in and bolted up yet? That tilts the motor up in the rear a bit...you motor is sitting way high in the front, and too low in the rear...
  6. A 'Vista Capable' PC will require at least an 800MHz processor, 512MB of system memory, a DirectX 9 capable graphics card, a 40GB hard drive with at least 15GB of free space, a DVD drive, and audio and internet capabilities. The only extra requirements for a 'Vista Premium Ready' PC are a 1GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor, 1GB of Ram and a graphics card with 128MB of onboard memory capable of supporting Windows Aero2. An Aero2 compatible card is a DirectX 9-class graphics processor that supports WDDM, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, 32 bits per pixel, and 64MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor less than 1,310,720 pixels. 128MB of graphics memory will be required to support a single monitor at resolutions from 1,310,720 to 2,304,000 pixels, or 256MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor at resolutions higher than 2,304,000 pixels. At most, the typical consumer with a PC even a few years old is only looking at buying a new graphics card and some extra memory. 90% of people who "upgrade" to vista arnt going to run out and dump the 2.5g they spent 6 months ago to just use vista. Virii and or hacks are out and will be well spread within 6 months anyway, and by that time the 2.5k system u refer to will be out of date. Its not going to make the internet faster, or 90% of programs people are using now. In fact most gamers are the ones suffering atm, due to lack of driver support from Nivida. ******** Ive had Vista installed and working fine via Vmware?
  7. would call both of those statements ignorant to say the least. As cubes said hes had it running on his setup fine, and my system, only new within the last 5 months wont finalize the installation. Hacker proof...dont make me laugh... They say these things as a marketing ploy like they do with all other ones before it. Xp was supposed to be more secure than previous version, but theres always someone out there with a death wish against bill/M$ that wants to show how ignorant people are... Its the newer systems that are seeming to have more trouble than others atm, but give it time im sure they will sort out issues. By that time im sure that Vienna will be out and running...
  8. Anyone here tried Vista yet, and had it not work at all? I cant even seem to get it into windows after finishing the setup it throws up the blue screen then reboots saying "Installation incomplete. Please reinstall" Ive tried a fresh format install, as well as the upgrade from within windows....both shit it and wont run. Funny thing is i can get vista running fine via VMware... wtf is going on....

  14. Saftey loop goes a long way with a single piece I remember someone had truck unis installed in their line, as they were much stronger than the upgraded items they had origionally...?
  15. I'll get you a disk with all them games on em....
  16. dont hammer them in, use 2 plates with holes in the centre, i piece of tube, and 1 long threaded rod with 2 bolts. U put 1 plate on 1 side of the frame, put the bush where u want it pressed in, then fit the tube on top of the bush, then the plate. (this stops u pushing the centre out of the bush itself) Put the rod through the centre of it all and screw the nuts on either end.. Basically u do the nuts up to press it on... freeze the bush before hand to make it easier and use a long wrench to tighten the nuts...
  17. u need to press in it not just ram it in from the 1 side...i think thats what the portapower thing does?
  18. If a sticker is in the wipers swipe area it is illegal
  19. I got quoted the same price as Cubes for changover of the subframe bushes through our tuner. He does do slightly better prices because of a thing called customer loyalty, not that he doesnt know whats involved, or a suck in price. In fact when he sets the price its fixed, no matter what. Unless something goes stupidly wrong he will ring and ask u about it. ******** GTR32GUS - The metal ring ones simply crush the std worn bushes down providing a metal on metal connection between the subframe and the rear of the car. Not the best option for someone with a 2 way diff.. Pinapples can be used to stiffen the subframe up, or change the angle of it .
  20. only ones i know of - http://www.hardyspicer.com.au/driveline_products.asp the usual google results - http://www.msdriveshafts.com.au/ http://www.truckline.com.au/
  21. tie rod n. 1. A metal rod that joins and reinforces parts in a structure. 2. Either of two metal rods or arms that transmit motion to the front axle in certain vehicular steering systems. last time i looked they did, unless i and most japanese parts makers are mislead... http://www.tein.co.jp/e/products/tierod.html
  22. that would be the unis fault then, not the actual tailshaft itself U can beef the unis up as well i remember reading somewhere
