  1. Pretty sure its this place here that can fit a new steel end - http://www.fdrive.com.au/products/02/speedometer.php http://www.fdrive.com.au/contacts/sa.php
  2. Why even bother asking for ppls opinions then if u make up your own mind, then get people telling you its not worth it, but still go ahead with what u want anyway? Bill is a good salesman, ill give him that. Will he give u a money back guarantee if u dont get the 300 he said u would? What clutch are u planning on running, tyres, eCu ? Its more like another 1-2k out of your pocket before u see any real numbers over 200...
  3. bearing carrier depends on box used and type of clutch. I had to fit a new one to suit my r33 box + the os twin in my 32
  4. well i know tabs.. learnt scales (major, minor, blues, major/minor pentatonic) Basic chords... learnt all the notes on the fret board.. need to find new stuff atm to learn heres my setup:
  5. Im a little older than Cubes, so i dont feel any better Scandyflick - are u self taught, or do u go to lessons fer the guitar?
  6. them senior pensioner discount cards must really pay off eh?
  7. must admit i love fishing, but havent been in ages. Summer here i should get out more and wet my line..
  8. Thought id break up the car chat with a different thread. Was wondering what others do to thats interesting or to keep themselves occupied. OK WE ALL KNOW WE LIKE CARS AND COMPUTERS. So besides "working/driving/modding" your car and "playing/fixing/building" computers what do YOU do to keep yourself occupied, better yourself in your spare time I'll start if i must... Currently: Homebrew beer Learning to play electric guitar Build models (cars...yer i know its car related ) Electronic projects (anywhere from building them Jaycar kits to building myself a Tube Amp) Any one else care to share, or are we all just boring car nerds?
  9. brembos or sumitomos? Your calipers are the exact same calipers as the sumitomos, except they use a slightly larger rotor (296mm vs 280mm?). Its just the mounting holes are out frther to clear the rotor. They even use the same pad. Not on upgrade at all if its a street driven car. Have your calipers rebuilt with new seals, replace the lines and do a complete flush with fresh fluid and u will notice a big difference, add the dba400 rotors to your std size. For pads try rb74's.
  10. This place here deals with em. I was gunna use em to replace the plastic end of the r32s speedo cable that snaps with a steel end http://www.fdrive.com.au/contacts/sa.php ring em and they should be able to make a custom one for you edit/ now = Know
  11. yerp email rips. Its just an adaptor plate that goes in between the manifold and head with reversed studs.
  12. Should read : Then the future when he wants more power det it Oh yer, tell him not to get attached and have big plans for it, because we all know its better to get a better car thats got the upgrades std (like a r32gtst) than if he tried modding a r32 NA (if he bought that to start)
  13. yer me mates bro had an n13, but anything newer say n14 would be good. Parts are interchangable with the early astras?
  14. aus delivered pulsar or s13 non turbs?
  15. There s no point going lower than Sk's recommended settings (350rear /340front mm?) as hes has said numerous times as it doesnt help handling at all, and puts excessive wear / load on the suspension parts. Even if it does look better Do a search of his posts for a detailed explanation...
  16. You have no choice - return the hicas to working order. fit a slimline eyelevel light Buy/borrow std shock. No engineers report will be worth the paper its on. Fix any other obvious defect (like the no cat etc) Take some KY as you would probably go through a 3rd time if u dont make it resemble a stock car... Ps - GTR's are 375mm i think i saw in the cops book.
  17. ATS are known not to be the best setup from memory. Just for curiosity sake, care to list us the support mods for your turbo?
  18. Im sure the last thing hed want is a solid cradle to chassis mounting with the mrs and son in the back... Dont think id like that on any street driven vehicle.
  19. Try getting any sort of decent job without any formal qualifications...it aint happnin. Sure u can score a job doing some sort of "IT" job, but higher paying decent jobs with a window to advancement require the Uni background. The "out of date" stuff is up to the individual to keep themselves informed about whats new, and coming soon. No job could offer that either...
  20. Are u sure u know what your talking about
  21. your asking for trouble slapping a gt30 on a std car, then adding ipa to the mix. Everyone here who asks about how there car runs, or what others think is going on should all read below - say it out loud - *DYNO TIME IS MY FRIEND*
  22. My last job i was given the task of welding brackets to the IRS x-members that we received from holdens, then return em. Constantly -im talking 1 out of 12 in a rack- was completely farked . Due to them being made and welded by a robot there was no quality on the welds. They didnt care either, just weld em send em out...I complained about it...*just keep welding*.. Someone mentioned they only offers 12 months warranty of the diff? Shows great confidence in their product..
  23. U wont be wanting to stick a gt30 on by itself then. Unless u want another dead turbo soon, or can resist the right foot...
  24. not sensitive at all Pain killers make for some nice mood swings. Or at least thats what my other personality tells me joking....
