Starting out small steps at first to get me back into the brewing... Ive got a can of Mexican Cerveza here ready to be made Came with a bag of brew booster (dextrose, light dried malt, and malto-dextrin) Shall put it through the next week or so, then move on to something like a Kilkenny brew, or a cider...havent decided what as of yet. This should taste nice with a wedge of lime ala Corona style hopefully...

Personally i run rx7 ser V squirters which are thought to be bad in the spray pattern dept., but im getting similar fuel economy to Cubes (10L/100km) with his GTR injectors. People here with r33's are getting the same economy (if not worse) with their supposed better quad squirters. Everyone tunes for the 12:1, so if we all get the same fuel economy and AFR's then i say go for it, as spray pattern wont mean much to the final product -UNLESS its a big dribbler

Guy i worked with bought one (imported surf) turbo diesel. Is it the ones with the rear door handle in a weird sort of spot? He loved it, and said it was very good on the fuel too... edit/ it doesnt look like the one im thinking of.... are you sure she will like it??

Bl4cK32 replied to dead32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The guy at my local tyre joint pulled out his book, and here in Adelaide its legal for 235 (and up) to go on a 9.5" rear rim -
Rb30 Help Guys Read All Threads Too
Bl4cK32 replied to rockabilly's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If your talking about the sump adaptor plate that a certain someone has been offering for sale for a while, there were issues with it which required a small amount of mods to fix it. It has been brought up in the rb30 thread and addressed by the parties who sell / bought the items. Have u sought advice to find if your problem had a solution? -
u could do a rb30 for 3.5k all depends what u want
-
I wouldnt be suprised...oldest trick in the book. I used to see this all the time when i worked for a car yard. Did they then pick on items that they deemed needed fixing?
-
yes they passed. Next time, maybe not. If the car was perfect, what do u think that they could pick on?
-
thanks fer the tips ; Adz, which recyclers is that as i think my local doesnt want to sell any edit/ just rang the next closest place to me, and they sell long necks for 15c each which is about $4.50 for 30 of em.

Personally dont bother. A mate knows someone who spent 2g+ to get his teins engineered so that they will pass regency. Even when he did this the engineers at regency knocked them back -even though they had been approved. 2K wasted. You are better of keeping the car stockish (at least go for 17" rims) as u will have nothing but hassles from police the rest of the time u own the car.

lol...yep. Suggested in the book that an old stocking is the way to go. Ill get the mrs to buy me some, so i dont get the weird looks Ive got a room here at home which is suprisingly always cold (a family member passed away in it). Pretty eerie, but makes for a good constant temperature. Ive also got ducted reverse cycle, so i can choose the room i want and set it for say 23 degrees if it gets too hot Whats your favourites 4door? Brewed anything other than Coopers kit ones? Im thinking of trying the Crown ale kit then a Japanese (Kirin), followed by some Kilkenny Cream style ones. If i get through those, i will start with the experimenting with the malt my mate can get, and honey etc...

9.5 Wide Under Gts-t R32
Bl4cK32 replied to dead32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
9.5" wide would need a +38 offset running 235s on the rim for clearance, + the guards lipped -
Yup, he mentioned they sold out a while back (ive seen his uniform change 2 or 3 times since hes worked there for over 6/7 years now) Just looking at the book me mate lent me now - Home Brewing in Australia (by Laurie Strachan) - great book by the way, as its local... It explains thing in great detail, and it appears i need about a 8-9 Lt pot to boil the malt / hops in + something to strain it into the fermenter. Funnily enough they recommend culturing your yeast from Coopers sparkling ale / pale ale / extra stout and using that as a liquid yeast for better results.... I think the kitchen will be the first try (with extraction fans running) until im booted out by the mrs

They export malt world wide, and he did tell me Heineken among the places they ship to. Im still doing the research on how to make my own wort properly and yer its a long process with getting temps right. Im off to the brew shop tomorrow to have a chat, and check out my options there as well Coopers almost own the malting place now - link - http://www.safoodcentre.com/buyershub/a8_p...owcasingcoopers as well as that place, they also work along side Joe white malting
-
Just spoke to a mate who works for the malting place that supplies Coopers, Heineken etc all the malts that they use to make the beer. He said i can get some 50kg bags of malt ready to make my own wort for brewing. Can anyone say bulk brews

COOL the more the merrier. For 1 batch i need about 30 longies, so whatever u have i will take. I prefer using the glass over the plastic (even though some say it makes no difference)
-
cool Found a few designs on the web for different still types, but yes i like the idea of going relfux type. 1 pass only is all i could take i think....(the faster the better) Does anyone have any empty long necks beer bottles they wanna part with for a small fee? I need (for 1 batch) about 30 of them. So its time to start buying the longies
-
whats the setup costing like? Any things to lookout for?

Howdy, reading the thread on hombrew in the japanese section linky : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...143553&st=0 got me thinking of laying down another batch of beer. Anyone here got brands / types that they like better than others? Im looking for a lighter beer this time, so i can enjoy a few without being a cheap date Thinking of maybe trying the Japanese ones listed in the thread i mentioned too... My birthdays coming round soon, so i think its time i laid the foundations for my own whiskey still

I think he means that u personally attacked everyone with them comments there. Back a couple of years ago id agree with u Nightcralwer, but unless u actually live in a suburb u cant comment on whats its acutally like to live there. Regardless if the housing is cheaper, and there is more crime, its not necessary to group all individuals into "lower social demographic" in a particular location. Ive heard people say before that North eastern suburbs are for richer, well off snotty stuck up people, and it offended me as i didnt consider myself like that, even though i had the same opinion u had quoted above at the time. There are good and bad areas no matter what suburb u live in -Im sure there are families who arnt the typical tv type that live in Burnside, but on the other hand im sure that there are a lot of loving, happy families who try to do the right thing etc living in Salisbury...Im sure there are drug growers, and ectasy users on your street NC, u just dont know it cant we all just get along

guys where supposed to convince him why to come to adelaide... not tell him its the old fogies genital piercing / freaks of australia Did anyone mention we hold the driest state in the driest continent in the world, and we are the serial murder capitol of Australia....lmao. Welcome to SA
-
doesnt matter where u drive either unfortunatly. Ive been pulled over in side streets, and was finally defected on the way home down the 80km/h road to hallett cove. Nowhere near the city. There are also regular defect stations in the hills. It comes down to the police who are looking at your car at the time, and if its their "time of the month"
-
yer i dont drive like a nut either, only reason i got pulled over was cop seriously had nothing to do. HE pulled me over for one thing, then had to actually pull out his tape measuer to make sure what the height of my car was. If it was legal height, he wouldve just looked for something else. It comes down to how much of a knob the copper is really, cos if they want u to go he will find something. Remember the law - they only have to SUSPECT something is wrong to defect u - not actually have proof or evidence... remember as well, with a defect u have less rights than if he was searching your car for drugs or a gun, as they need probable cause to search
-
lol...nows not the time to tell u that we have the most poisonous ones in the world then? They arnt that bad, just keep it in mind when hot weather is around they are too
