Cheers guys glad you had a good time, happy to do it. Charlie, not a bad idea - I did do a dinner + movie night ( I think you may have been away) and the only regulars that came was James, Harsh and his missus and one other sau vic member and a couple of r31 guys, so I figured most ppl weren't that interested - may try again soon. I have put suggestions up for Sat, but a lot of ppl want to see mates, get drunk etc...but still a possibility though. Laith, glad everyone was ok.
-
no worries Charlie, and yeh as everyone has said I think late session will ensure everyone is available... Will see you guys at the apple peel at 9pm.
-
Just got a call back... he will let Coburg know that we will come down for either time, so now it is just up to us... I;m guessing the later session will be more available for everyone, just means its going to be a later night... there can be 2 groups... as in some for the early session, some for the late.... $10 per person, or $20 per car load, so if there is more then 3 people in a car max u pay is $20... post up what time suits you best! My number is 0419110110 if anyone has q's

I just left a message with village... I've accounted for about 10 people... more or less should be fine for this one, waiting on the call back... heres the thing though, which session time of hall pass are you guys aiming for? earlier or later? based on the session times I would estimate: earlier: carwash -rock up at 6-6:30, leave at 7 get to drive ins at about 7:20-7:30, give us a good hr to be first to get good spots later: carwash - rock up at 9, leave at 9:45 get to drive ins at about 10:00-10:15 up to you guys.

Looking For Longer Studs On Turbo Exhaust Manifold - Rb25
WYTSKY replied to shaunzo101's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
any exhaust/ turbo shop -
Hey guys, got a call from my village contact, not good... ***ATTENTION*** Due to Unknown doing extremely poorly over the weekend the drive-ins have canceled any remaining sessions. The village entertainment manager I deal with only found out about this today and let me know as soon as he knew. I am very sorry I have to do this again guys, it has never happened twice for one event that we have to change the movie again. So... Here are the actual movies and times that will be playing on Friday the 11th of March at the Drive-ins: Hall Pass 8:20 or 10:50 Adjustment Bearu (or however you spell it) 8:15 or 10:30 Rango 8:30 or 10:30 We have until Friday morning to once again confirm numbers and I completely understand if some people do not want to come, but given the circumstances I am sure village will now discount us regardless of cars/people as they have stuffed us around twice. Once again I am very sorry for the changes and we will have to work out if we want the earlier or later session as well. Adam P.s My preference is for Rango

R33 Gtst Turbo Heat Shield
WYTSKY replied to macdoodle69's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Dude, sorry to tell you but that is wayy too much for the turbo heatshield. I bought the stock turbo and manifold heatsheilds off a member here a couple of days ago for $15 for both! and they were in good condition. Heres one after I gave it a clean and spray: -
cheers mate, good to know your still around. Did you manage to sell the skyline? Still JB'ing? Have you got anything in mind for when you start driving again?
-
cool... numbers? u +1 ? also, as others will tell you from previous movie nights, you can't just say your coming and then not rock up as Village will get pissed if they reserve x amount of tickets for us, so as long as your sure then all good

Do I Need A Aftermarket Ecu To Reach 450-500Hp ?
WYTSKY replied to Iceman22's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nah don't bother with a tune... i'm sure it will sort itself out fine.... most people here spend a couple grand on their motor and never bother with a tune.... ^that is sarcasm... here is some actual info that I hope is useful and you are not trolling... 1. a RB25DET cannot handle 500hp on stock internals, perhaps you are thinking of the RB26DETT where the rods can handle over 400kw.... 2. You always need a tune when upgrading engine components. 3. You will need decent injectors to go with the stuff above and a new air flow meter that can cope with the extra air being sucked in..... 4. Bee R will eventually f*ck your motor.... BTW.... WTF's happend to my sig? I didn't touch it.... -
sorry... don't know your name

Got both for 15 bucks off Russman, thanks dude.

Done! Unknown on 11th of March Just spoke to Village. i'm confirming numbers next Monday, but we are booked

Well i was thinking unknown as well, so is everyone cool for that or has someone seen it?

cost - paid Dr Drift to get the hole cut on the housing and weld the 90 degree bend - then a mate of mine did the upper weld and joined them together - I had to adjust a little so my aircon line could fit - i cant remember the cost, couldn't be more then 100-200 to cut a hole and some welding in terms of angle and 90 degree- most i have seen are 90 deg, facing exhaust flow would be ideal, but lets face it, all the gases are going to pass through there one way or another... yes, that is a Tial 44mm gate with vband clamps... jet hot coatings did the job in castlemaine - took about 10 days i think, but that was when part of vic got flooded and some of their machinery wasn't working and they were waiting on that. on the cheap, there are 2 ways of doing it, modify the std manifold, by putting in a 90 degree bend from the top of where they all merge - which I have heard can cause turbulence when exhaust gases are expelled and things like poor boost control/extra wear and tear on the turbo - i have also heard others that have had no problems, personally - I decided to modify my turbo housing - same concept - but havent heard any others having boost issues this way - and mine holds 18-19psi flat. you just need to take it to a welder/turbo/exhaust/tuner shop and it shouldn't cost too much. This is after I got mine coated:
