  1. Hey mate, ive had very similar missfire issues to you, using the same plug and yeh... 1-2 days and they get shitty.. I now use NGK BCPR6ES.. honestly... never looked back, car is perfect up until about 10,000kms and then replace when I notice a little bit of spluttering, but its still no where near as bad as those BKR6E's.... Also, u know, normal things... check all coil packs for cracks, make sure u have the right tension for the plugs etc etc... hope this helps. Adam
  2. looks fantastic mate, enojy it!
  3. thanks, yours definitely looks the part too... just be aware that as I think i said above, you can get fined for using it as a brake light. Adam
  4. Essentially what your asking is what I have done.. I did alot of the work myself... but I didn't know as much about engines/cars/turbos back then... so I was told I needed both an oil feed and oil line drilled by the guys who were helping me by doing the block drilling + water lines.... anyway, I got one or both drilled and some t-pieces for water and that was it..... ready to put on manifold, turbo, lines, dump. Don't worry about compression too much... mines still the n/a compression with about 230rwkw and a 3076 soon to go on and hopefully 260-270+ Adam Edit: If you need some pics of mine and where the lines are drilled let me know.
  5. Thanks guys
  6. nah i would say the opposite... that the cooler pipe would be hotter... heat doesn't try to stay in tight... it wants to escape.... so those temperatures are probably just whats being emitted from the exterior of the pipe... i wouldn't imagine the pipe itself was much cooler.
  7. Could you have been measuring the temperature of the heat wrap itself as oppose to the actual cooler pipe?
  8. jeeze.... u think that will make ppl click your tiny crappy signature to memory cards? try harder buddy...
  9. man they always have the booze bus's in Ringwood... I should know, they are mostly down the end of my street.... There were so many cops on Maroondah Hwy that night... I was on it from Nuna to Ringwood... in the change of 2 suburbs I saw 3 cop cars (2 undercover) with ppl pulled over... + the booze bus... Clearly if this bloke had any brains he would not have been driving.... 1 thing I dont get though is that when they normally get these guys, they leave their cars on the median strip and normally pick them up the next day... how did he get his car in 2 hours? surely the bus wouldn't have finished by then.... hate that it makes the area look shitty...
  10. pm'd back. Plz pm your number Adam
  11. Don't have what I'm after?^
  12. Hey mate, have you got the large heat insulated line that goes from the aircon into the firewall and normally silver in good condition?
  13. have you got the heat insulated air con line (that runs near where the stock turbo is to the firewall) in good condition? if so can pick up today or next few days. Adam
  14. well.... i did suggest he also hang outside his car at that speed... the only reason I helped was that if the car is shaking violently at those speeds he could lose control and hit a tree, so best to help him, but I spose your right, once that is fixed he will just go faster....
  15. Check your Pm's Re: workshop stuff
  16. +1 for balancing ..... a large jolt combine with high speeds or touching a curb... something could have knocked out the weights on your wheels... its not expensive...Just take it to one of the common Tyre/brake places.... Bob Jane Tyre Factory Etc.... school holidays are fun to try to kill yourself you and your mate should see if you can hold hands out the windows of your cars while you fly down the highway with no one around... And I don't care if you didn't come on for a lecture! you can't unread what I wrote!!
  17. how did you score a car for free?! Luckkyy seems like its gonna be alot of fun and looks much better already!
  18. I had absolutely no troubles cutting it with a jigsaw, as I have done a few times... maybe your using a blade for cutting metal as oppose to cutting wood (which I used as the perspex is softer)
  19. Interesting mate, can you pm some details so I can have a bit of a research? cheers, Adam
  20. Furthermore to dori's post... you can make alot more then just 180kw..... but you must have the MONEY/time/motivation/know how and tuner...
  21. ahhh yeh... sorta makes sense reading it over again dont go vanilla.... new car blue trees FTW!
  22. oh cumon! as if it would get anywhere near my car! besides...It needs a small diameter exhaust to use the pressure to blow it.... a 5 inch tip isnt going to do that.... or it will get blown away by the real psi! still wish i spent it on some good air freshners
  23. I bought 1 for my gf's charade as a joke... was a fail... buy one and stick it in ya gob and blow hard... or spend it on some nice air fresheners...
  24. If anyone has some air temperature sensing equipment I could borrow to give some results, or if someone can point me in the direction of where to buy one within the $200ish mark i'll get some results.
